Very nice location, comfortable beds, clean room had a nice view to the Capitol hill. The breakfast was OK but the room should be better maintained - lack of plates, some food was gone fast without replenishment.
Have stayed there before but the room this time didn’t smell like cigarette smoke and had a great view
Would not stay there again
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet. There didn’t seem to be much in the area for food and it didn’t seem that safe to be out walking at night. Lots of weed being smoked around the property which you could smell inside the hotel. They charge $15/day for parking which I didn’t see when booking and there was no housekeeping during my three days. I wouldn’t recommend nor will I be staying here on future trips to the area.
Could be nice, but it’s kinda like someone flipped this property and put band aides on it instead of actually making it nice. Pedestal sink in the bathroom?! With no real useable counter space & the one and only plug was loose and my husband had to hold the plug for my hair dryer in while I used it, or else it wouldn’t work. No full length mirror anywhere in the room. No usb plugs for phone chargers Dirty & old curtains It smells musty/moldy, especially in the hallways Paid parking. I definitely would not return. Okay well, honestly I wouldn’t return because we also discovered home much we don’t like Hartford when we were there. But if we HAD to return- we would find a different hotel. Only positive: the front desk staff was really nice & helpful
It was a nice place for the cost. Not the fanciest hotel but it was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they offered a nice free actual breakfast with views of Bushnell Park. I would definitely stay here again if I had to make a stop in Hartford.
The woman who checked us in was the best check in clerk I have every encountered. She was accommodating, gave excellent directions for parking and access to the building.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, but there were a number of unwelcomed surprises. First, the parking is private in an underground lot that you not only have to pay for but must sign in and get your keys before you're granted access. Even when you have your keys, the door lock system malfunctions and you have step out of your car to manage entry. Next, you cannot enter the hallways to your room from the stairwell. You can leave, but there is no way to unlock the door - even with a keycard - to get back in. Elevator is the only way to move around the interior of the building. Finally, the heating/AC unit in my room was outdated, worn looking and broken in many parts. The rooms were clean and this place is suitable for ONE night out on the town and a place to lay your head for an evening. However, if I return to Hartford, I will be paying the additional amount to be comfortable, safe, and satisfied with my accommodations.
I liked the convenience of this property to the Convention Center event we were attending. It had breakfast that we were unable to take advantage of but I believe it would have been a great perk to our stay. The onsite parking was handy but very tight spots!
Staff wasn't so friendly no bathroom tissue sheets were soiled i had to wait for there hours to check in.
Stay was terrible no towels in shower. Girlfriend had to blow drier to dry her self. I asked for towels
Very clean, simple room. Small dedicated parking garage. Breakfast buffet was a nice touch.
A very average room with one decent bed and one saggy one that slid off the frame.. the staff seemed to be exclusively"in training". The parking garage is nightmare inducing. Great location. Boutique hotel? False advertising!
Nothing it was nice. Ice bucket no ice machine. And u need a bar
Proximity to XL Center. View of the Capitol building was really nice.
Too many negatives unfortunately to put here. Except that staff was very nice
