Classic New England seaside resort!
Nice property and a nice room, but not spectacular. Nobody whatsoever to help you with your bags. There are carts, but a sign saying that you're not allowed to use them, you have to ask a bell hop—but no bell hops to be located. One staff member saw us struggling with our bags and didn't even volunteer to help. So I'm sorry, check-in and check-out were not five-star experiences. The restaurant is good, but after all the hype, it didn't exceed expectations.

Every staff member was always cheerful and anxious to help with any request. The restaurant was clean and the food was amazing. It was a very pleasant stay.
Super bright non-dimming lights in bathroom disturbed my sleep cycle. Dimmers should be standard in a quality resort! No way to make tea in room (coffee maker ruins taste of water boiled for tea. I asked for something to boil water in room; was told not available. Bed too high. If it were not for these problems, (especially too bright non -dimming lights), I would return and book rooms for friends and family.
The Inn is located right on the marina, so the views from the outdoor dining and bar areas are great! The spa services were top notch and dinner at Fresh Salt was delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Nothing not to like. It's the most high-end, superlative pampering, beautiful, lush delicious place--magically wonderful!!!

Everything was lovely! (The young hostess in the restaurant could have been a bit friendlier, but she wasn't rude.)
Saybrook Point Inn is very relaxing. The spa is great, it is a nice weekend getaway
Only experience that did not measure up was one dish at the restaurant Frsh Salt that was not prepared correctly. The dining room manager kept at it until we had an acceptable solution, which we appreciated. Rest of meal was very good and service was excellent.
