Room was run down and stains on walls and comforter. Bathroom water would barely drain down the tub or sink. Half the lights in bathroom did not function. Just very bad experience and very dirty... will never stay again .

Owner was a great guy and accommodated us despite a late check in. He provided us with an extra cot for the three folks in our room and even helped us out when we left an item behind in the room. Thank you and if we are in the area again we will definitely be back!

For the economy lodging that it is, the Liberty Inn is a great option. Our room, although a little outdated, was clean. The roll-in bed that we had requested was in our room upon arrival, but it would have been nice to have the A/C running when we got there, as the room gets very hot in July. The bathrooms seem to have been renovated recently. The room was very quiet and there were no rowdy neighbors. The management/owner is very friendly and thoughtful. I accidentally left an expensive camera lens in my room upon checkout. He called me up and was very helpful in sending the lens back to me. The location is very good- close to quite a few things, although the entrance is located on a rather strange one-way street. I recommend staying here if you're on a budget!

The rom was very small. No closet to hang clothes to speak of. Bathroom tiny with ducktaped vent. Room needs a good cleaning. You will hear the traffic on I-95. Only book in a bind. It is an easy on/off to I-95.

I have stayed at the Liberty Inn several times. It is just off Rt. 95, minutes from everywhere around here with good eating and shopping very near by car. And, because the Liberty Inn is so reasonably priced, you will have money in your pocket to spend. This is a family run Inn and they take good care of their guests. For convenience, price and accommodations, you can not beat this the Liberty Inn in Old Saybrook, CT. It is close to the highway, but that has never caused me any problem sleeping. It's a gem for the price.

We always book at this inn when we visit the area to see family. It is close for shopping at the outlets, not far from things to do like casinos, and we can visit the beach too. Our room is clean and comfortable and big in comparison to other hotels. For the price we pay each time we visit we get a lot. The manager is always friendly and helpful to us. We highly reccomend.

Room is filthy. They do not dust or clean the hairs in the bathroom. It's more of a four hour hotel and not a place to sleep. I went through three rooms which consisted of mold, falling ceiling, bugs, and broken fixtures. Would definitely not recommend. The smell of smoke in the rooms just added to the physical appearance.

We checked in to the room and found dirt on the walls and crumbs on the bed and the furniture in worn condition and so e checked out! The management, after sppeaking to the vendor through whom we booked. allowed us to cancel without charge.

We come to Old Saybrook pretty often in the summer and it was our first time staying at this place. Our room was very clean and the place overall looked like it was recently renovated. The front desk manager was friendly and was happy to accommodate our small dog. For the price, cleanliness, size of room, and amenities we were very impressed and will surely return. A great find for us, we can’t wait to come back!

Upon arriving we noticed small light hairs all over the brown bed coverlet. There were hairs in the shower as well. After returning to the Inn later that night, we discovered hairs on the sheets with visible stain....ewwww! We were given another room which was very nice. However, when I lifted the toilet lid there was a dark hair on the seat! I was told that if I looked at the sheets, and unmade the bed, that I would receive NO money back. We decided to leave receiving "half" of the money we spent. It is too bad that the cleaning staff does not know how to clean- because there seems to be some really nice updates to this older establishment. We would not return. 😝
