It was our first time in New Haven, and so glad we chose the Blake to stay at. This is one of our favorite hotels ever! So stylish, with great service. The only, very small issue as that while they provide this super awesome free coffee service delivered to your room in the morning, there's no free, easy way to refill your cup if you head downstairs to hangout and read the paper in their fabulous lobby. You can order a cup for $3-$4 from one of the front desk workers, but it's one at a time and the small line of people all just really wished there was a pot to draw a fresh refill from. That being said, I wouldn't even deduct a fraction of a star, not even 1/16th...5 stars all the way! But maybe add the free coffee in the lobby...

Loved this hotel

We've stayed at the Blake several times both before and during COVID. The rooms are large, really nice furnished (e.g., good bed and linens), with very good bathroom facilities, a nice kitchen, and Netspresso machine (much better than Keurig). The staff is friendly and have been very accommodating with other special requests. We are looking forward to the excellent restaurant re-opening. The Blak is two blocks from a great commercial district, and Yale and its museums.

Hotel staff were great, rooms were modern and had all necessity. Steps away from downtown New Haven, extremely convenient yet quiet & relaxing

It is a beautiful hotel, only disappointment was the bar closing at 11pm on a Friday night.

Clean, new rooms. Excellent dining options, great drinks! The perfect romantic staycation for me and my husband.

A gorgeous hotel (in a not-very-interesting neighborhood, but close to everything).

!. Booked through Orbitz. Orbitz's check-in time was listed as 3 PM, in fact it was 4 PM. 2. Because we were early they wanted to charge us $25 early check-in fee even though our room was ready. After further discussion they rescinded the fee.

From the minute you step inside its "wow".The decor is fab.Such friendly staff throughout the hotel.make sure you get to the rooftop it's just beautiful, oysters amazing.

This hotel is amazing! It’s a beautiful property and the entire staff was friendly, helpful and made my daughter and me feel so special. We had requested a 2 queen bedroom and when we arrived, we had been upgraded to a beautiful, one bedroom suite! It was so beautify and just such a nice thing after have a very difficult few days due to a family trauma.

I had a broken bone in my foot and have been limping, not a single staff offered to help me with the luggage and I had 3 pieces. Also, when I was getting in bed one night there was a sewing needle in my sheets that stabbed me pretty good. The front staff just said, 'oh we're sorry about that' and sent me on my way. No follow up from anyone.

The decor was perfect not cheesy not overly decorated but simple and trendy. The velvet couches throughout are soo beautiful. The staff was also very friendly and always greeted us! Clean fresh and new!
