Stayed 2 nights for Quinnipiac University Graduation, Beautiful sightseeing of Yale University campus & buildings, close to restaurants.

A nice place to stay for those who do not like a soft mattress...

Convenient location to Yale and downtown New Haven. Friendly staff. Nice room. Beware the $20/ night parking fee that's not advertised.

I am a Marriott platinum member and have stayed a number of your brands and properties. I like the New Have property based on the value, location and staff. My room was on the street side of the property which can be loud. The bistro is a good add, though the service can be slow. The bistro staff was very helpful. Also, the back door from the parking lot can't be opened with a room key. You can be buzzed in, but the key doesn't open the door. Keep up the good work.

Location is next to Yale and very close to downtown. Staff helpful and facilities are clean, but not new. Lobby bistro is pricey but tasty. Neighborhood around Hotel felt less safe. Because of questionable neighborhoods nearby, I felt a need to keep my guard up when doing anything outside of hotel in that neighborhood. Staff is excellent, helpful. Good experience. Anyone with Yale activities should consider this hotel. Because of neighborhood, I would consider other places if bringing children or grandchildren.

I love the Marroitts!!!!! Everything is always first class without very high rates.

We have been staying here for years and continue to be impressed with the warm welcome we receive every visit. The staff are friendly, helpful, attentive, and extremely courteous. It is home away from home and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Stayed at the hotel because we were visiting friends who go to Yale. Super great locations close to shops and food.

Pretty clean, comfortable, convenient café in the lobby. May have seen one bed bug.

The room was comfortable, but for 1 thing - the thermostat didn't work at one point. We asked the hotel to look at it, which they did. Somehow they enabled us to directly set the wall unit instead of the thermostat. Good temporary workaround. The gym is tiny, but functional if not many guests want to use it. Nice to have cafe in lobby for coffee, light fare. Desk staff very helpful. If you're visiting Yale, this is the most convenient option at the price.

the hotel was ok but not as I expect from a Marriott.

The Hotel itself is up to the brand's reputation. Since we don't spend much time at the hotel, but go out a lot, we don't use too many of the amenities of the hotel other than the room & wifi. The small bar/restaurant was pleasant, with typical hotel fare. Nothing fancy, but consistent and good. If you walked to the right coming out of the front door, everything was cop-esthetic, but if you walked to the right, things got a little too urban for this midwesterner. While it didn't bother me too much, I was uncomfortable about my wife wandering that way. My biggest complaint was the width of the parking spaces. If there were 2 full sized vehicles parked next to each other, it is almost impossible to get out of your vehicle without banging your door on the vehicle next to yours. Something the size of a Prius worked just fine, a Camray, not so well.

We were looking for a hotel close to the center of Yale University and we found one. The rooms were comfortable, the Wi-Fi excellent, the garage parking convenient, the staff was very cordial, and the location was perfect, within walking distance of University buildings and great restaurants.

This hotel is in a nice location for walking to some local shops (Au Bon Pain, Yale bookstore, etc). The room was not anything overly exceptional, but it was clean with modern decor. It was good for the price. I had no complaints.

Hotel is nice.Surounding neighborhood has good shopping but not the safest place after dark! Would stay here again .

The Hotel was fine but the room smelled like an open sewer.

We were visiting Yale University with our son. It was a pleasant experience although the parking was quite expensive at $15. We liked the ice that was available in the hallway; it was 100 degrees. The room itself was nothing remarkable, but I liked that there was free wi-fi available and a rollout desk. In general, sleeping was difficult as we're away from home. However, the bed was very comfortable.

There was no binder in the room to outline the hotel services, which was really odd. We called down to the front desk a few times to make sure the binder wasn't taken from our room in error but the staff never answered our calls. We had to pay $15 per night to use the parking garage. It was OK for one night but certainly not the type of place you'd want to go for an extended period.

We only stayed overnight but as for Hotel rooms go it was pretty nice.

The purpose for the trip was to take our son to visit Yale. The hotel is under constuction so at first look, very unappealing. The downstairs lobby and restaurant are torn up so they offer breakfast in the conference room. The rooms are clean and updated. A little mold in the shower of both rooms. They have updated the rooms but there are unsightly patches in the ceiling. They offer coffee in the lobby at all times. Overall, the location and proximity to Yale was worth staying there. Would definately stay again. It rained the entire weekend and they did offer umbrellas to the guests. Friendly and helpful staff!! Surrounding neighborhood is not good at all. Don't wander outside of the yale campus.
