The hotel and room were very clean and well maintained. The staff respected our privacy yet were able to replenish linens and towels when requested. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the lack of breakfast and complimentary coffee. That should be a must, not good.

Room very clean, staff very helpful kind and professional (Stephanie a gem). I gave it 4 star just because my room was facing a dumpster and a bit noisy with trucks and the proximity to the elevator. If you park in the garage the hotel charges $ 24 nightly. The garage itself charges $ 22 daily. The difference in cost might be because there is an elevated connected pathway from the garage to the hotel. Also, once you check out at 11 am you have until 12 pm to remove your car. Maybe, it’s just better to park with the temple street garage with the $ 22 daily if you want to enjoy a full day in New Haven.

The hotel was pretty nice, but there were some items requiring maintenance in our room. Would have been nice if they had a built-in eco-friendly provision for not having the room serviced every day other than leaving the Do Not Disturb sign up. Staff were very friendly. Exercise room could have used a fan.

They put us in a room that was directly across from a nightclub. The window in our room did not close properly, and so we could hear the music like we were in the nightclub ourselves. It kept us up until one in the morning, my daughter was dancing along to the songs and could clearly hear every word that DJ was saying. When we mentioned this to the receptionist the next morning, she said oh normally when I check people and I don’t put people there because it’s so loud and then continue to look at her phone.

Perfect location, wish they had a restaurant on site, but it’s exactly what you need if you want to be in walking distance of some fantastic downtown New Haven restaurants, stores and hospitals (should one be visiting a patient at Yale New Haven). Higher floors have a great view!
