The staff member at the front desk was very rude and seemed like she hated her job. Also had to call the hotel from the airport 3 times because I waited over an hour for the free shuttle service which is supposed to come every half an hour. What a lie.
This was by far the dirtiest property I have ever visited. The staff was rude and the room was filthy as well as the property surrounding it. The pictures online are deceiving and it is not a hotel it is a motel. Please look at these pictures they were taken on May 18th 2017. The hallway smelled of urine and the carpeting was filthy. There was no bed skirt the mattress was sticking out in plain sight and it was ragged and dirty. The desk staff was unwilling to refund our money so do not book a room there if you do not want to stay in a filthy place.
Due to a change in our flights this is a hotel that Expedia booked for us so we had no choice but to stay here. We got off our plane and went to wait for the hotel shuttle. After waiting for 45 minutes - 1 hour looking for Citi Garden we called the number using the provided phone. After a couple minutes no one picked up. I tried again on my cell phone. Again, 2 minutes of ringing and finally someone picked up. They told us to look for Park Pointe. Once we arrived at the hotel they told us the hotel name had been changed from Citi Garden to Park Pointe two days ago. "But Expedia emailed everyone." No, they did not. The grounds of the hotel looked nice, but walking past the rooms we got a very different feel. There was a lady smoking a joint and guys staying next to us had us beyond concerned about leaving the room unattended. I would not feel comfortable walking around after dark or in the evening. The walls were very thin so we could hear the guys next door yelling at each other into the night. Breakfast was okay in the morning, but we were eager to leave as quickly as we could to get back to the airport.
I have stayed at this Hotel before the renovation and name change. Since then they have made great changes to their service and guest rooms. The deluxe rooms are their new rooms. The standard rooms are the older rooms. The standard rooms are clean but just worn down which is what the other reviewers seem to be dissatisfied with. The deluxe rooms are modern, clean, and functional. They are the best looking rooms in the area and they are still priced lower than the brand name hotels. I think the price for the deluxe rooms are fair and well worth it. If you choose to book the standard rooms, just know you are getting a room that has not been renovated, but is clean. In speaking with the front desk all the rooms will be renovated eventually. The front desk staff is super friendly as well. I love the Hotel’s BBQ picnic area. How cool is it to BBQ your own food at a hotel!? I find the best deals for this hotel are available right on the hotels website and you can cancel the reservation with no penalties. They don't offer breakfast but there is a Dunkin-Donuts right across the street and an iHop down the street. There is a buffet restaurant connected to the hotel that serves lunch and dinner. The Wi-Fi and airport shuttle are complimentary. They have a small workout room with just two cardio machines (bikes) and weights and an outdoor pool. What I like most is that there is a large outdoor garden you can chill in if you want fresh air or need to get your fitbit steps in! There are not many hotels that have that luxury. You would never know how nice this hotel is on the inside until you walk in. The building design is old and is an exterior two-story building with no elevators. The first time I came to this hotel I was confused by the outside appearance. When I walked into the lobby I literally said, "Oh, wow!" Oh, they now offer a guest loyalty program and you can use your accumulated points not just towards free room nights at the hotel but on retail! Supercool!
Very rude and unhelpful receptionist, the wifi service is terrible, the wifi connection cannot even be found at all in the rooms towards the back, so bad. The room is nice and cozy, just bad service, and service is very important in business, don't think I'll be returning.
Very nice room. Shuttle service very good. Room (312) could hear noise from freeway 1/3 of a mile away. More insulation needed on door. Staff very friendly and helpful. They make you feel like they are family.
We have 2 rooms, booked through travel agent for 2 nights under different reservations, called the front desk and asked to keep the same rooms, not only they wouldn't let us do so, I asked them to stow my luggage, and they said no to that with really bad attitude. We have to pack, drag our suitcase downstairs( rooms are on 2nd floor, no elevator). Room is 3 star, service is zero star.
This hotel deserves several ratings, 4 stars for the updated rooms, price, and proximity to the airport, 3 stars for the facility landscaping, and 1 star for the free breakfast (cereal, toast, juice, coffee). I was tempted to get the inexpensive room for $89 per night since I was staying by myself, but the rooms looked dated and somewhat uncomfortable and I didn't want to risk it for a 2 night stay. The updated rooms were clean overall (some trash left on the floor), and the updating was well done with nice tile, dark woods, wallpapers, new flooring, televisions, and hair dryers. I had two rooms because the first night a fight broke out next to me. The next day I informed the front desk of my experience and they immediately moved me to a different updated room. The front desk was very helpful. My second night was comfortable and the air conditioning unit offered a continuous fan feature that drowned out the road and aircraft noise. I will return for a future stay.
Check in was easy and friendly. In the process of renovating but still clean and comfortable. A good option by the airport if you only want a comfortable room to sleep in and have breakfast. We stayed a night on flying in late at night and then moved to a new location. Perfect option for that type of scenario too.
