Service was poor and rooms were not assigned to us till 5pm on check in date. We arrived at 3pm, were guaranteed to get our rooms by 4pm which we did not. Staff was overworked. At peak time =, around 4pm one person was on your main desk at the lobby and the line of guests waiting was 8-10. I had to ask for the manager to be. all as most of the desk staff were on break All this is - NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This was our first time at the Hyatt Mission Bay. We come to SD often, have stayed at several hotels and many Hyatt’s by this one far exceeded our expectations! We had an amazing time (myself, 2 kids + friend and her 2 kids) and didn’t have to leave the hotel property for the entire 3 night stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and slides all day every day. They took full advantage of the free soft drinks for kids. And we also took advantage of the paddle board and kayak rentals included with the resort fee. It made the resort fee well worth it, unlike many other hotels thatbdont offer much in exchange. Jaclynn Penney at the front desk was extremely helpful in helping with our accommodations and final checkout. And the Ace valet parking guys were a huge help for a single mom with 2 kids and tons of gear! Rick and Tyler helped us out with parking and our bag. Matt was also on site while we came into the parking lot and I had questions on using my key card for entry/exit/re-entry. I rarely valet my car but these guys were great and a very attentive. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire stay and we can’t wait to go back again soon! Highly recommend this hotel for SD family travel!

We had a double queen room on the 17th floor with a beautiful view of the bay and Pacific Ocean. Room was so bright and comfortable. Bathroom was perfect for our needs, beds comfortable, and great balcony to look at the amazing view. Staff was really friendly. Only negative of our three night stay was that the pool was incredibly crowded and the pool deck was dirty with discarded food etc. We took advantage of the free hour of paddleboarding/kayaking and that was fabulous!

Room was on the small side but it worked. The 2 water slides were endless fun for the kids. The restaurant next to the pool had a decent selection and was very accommodating & friendly. The coffee shop offered a good selection of food as well, but was very busy in the mornings. Sounds like they are renovating the property so we were in an older room that hadn't been updated yet.

Requested more blankets for kids. Was told the hotel ran out of blankets and we couldn’t have more. We’ve never had a hotel we were staying at run out of blankets. Aside from what I consider to be poor customer service, the hotel was very nice and in a great location.

Room was newly renovated, large and clean. We had a great family vacatio with 3 older teens. Convenient location. The Concierge staff (Phillip, Heather and brett) were EXTREMELY helpful in making plans and really made the difference in our vacation.

Wonderful service, great variation in food and drink options, great for families. Room is a little out dated, but clean and comfy. Service was wonderful, from check in, concierge, room service and valet.

My wife and I loved the resort. Had plenty of activities as well as friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Upgraded to a King suite. It made our anniversary a great event. Can't wait for the next trip which will be in the Bay area.

Over all a good stay at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. I think this is conveniently located and suited for a slower paced get away to San Diego than heading into downtown San Diego. The property is near Sea World as well as secluded bays and Mission Beach and Belmont Park. It caters to families in many ways including pool amenities and some children specific perks. Make sure you inquire about them at check-in.

Stayed here for 5 days. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and updated. great location, close to Sea World, Belmont Park, beaches and airport. Pool was fun (slides were fun for both me and my son) staff was friendly!
