It was a beautiful resort with sand and sun and nice accommodations. However, the fitness room was small and dingy and always crowded so I gave up. The exercise classes were for beginners, and there were several incidents that made me worried about the safety of my 18 year old daughter. We were forced to eat at the buffet every day for 3 meals a day because the restaurants were always booked for dinner, thought they told me they didn't take reservations. You were treated differently based on which of the 3 resorts you stayed at and it was a bit embarrassing to separate people based on whether they paid for upgrades or not. There was little to do there but eat and drink to excess so it was not my kind of vacation. Considering I don't eat or drink a lot, it was difficult to justify the expense.

Disappointed in the food. Service was generally okay.

Nice brautiful place to vacation it was a good experience very well organize very good service it was resort & the beach was right there also sorrounded by pools . I love recommended to anyone who wants to take a vacation

I had a great time with my family at this resort. The resort itself offered a variety of things for kids to do between the waterpark, shows and pool/beach activities. I also enjoyed the amenities that the Diamond club had to offer, especially the butler service (thanks to Junior and Valentin). I would go back as a Diamond club member again. The negatives were the buffet style food was okay and the waiter in the Score bar was very rude. Otherwise a wonderful vacation for a family of 4 (kids 3 & 6 years old).

The Royalton Punta Cana is one of the best resorts we've ever visited. It has a large, helpful staff which is always present but never intrusive. The hotel is superbly managed. There was abundant food and drink--make sure you take the all-inclusive option--and the beach was immaculate. We can't recommend this place highly enough. We badly needed to get away, rest, and enjoy sun, sand, sea, and air while also enjoying a couple of mojitos, and the Royalton Punta Cana was just what the doctor ordered.

Our first time to Punta Cana and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The resort was well maintained and offered many restaurants, bars, swimming pools and beaches to choose from. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My son commented that they were always smiling and happy. We would definitely stay at the Royalton again! We did upgrade to Hideaway Diamond Club which was well worth it in my opinion. The two designated buildings for the "Hideaway" rooms are for ages 18 and over. There is a pool that is available to only those guests staying in Hideaway.....as well as a beach area for only Hideaway guests. Diamond Club upgrade allows you to be able to make reservations for dining and gives access to a special area of the beach as well. There is also a Diamond Club lounge with premium alcohol and light breakfast foods and afternoon/evening snacks.

Did not get room we booked (2 queen beds) but they gave us roll away and pull out for free with king. Very helpful staff. Didn't like Graze Italian restaurant staff. Be careful if you are not a Diamond Club member they will try to sell this with presentation and take time away from your vacation.

My husband and I have been to 2 other royalton locations (Mexico and Negril) . It's actually one of our favorite international resorts. This location (staff & hotel size wise) doesn't compare to the other 2. It's a great hotel , beautiful spacious rooms but some staff members weren't as gracious as others. Another negative was they had (who I believe were outside vendors) selling jewelry and paintings in the courtyard area; which was fine but after a day I had to take the long way to go back to my room just so 5 people didn't ask me buy things consistently. They may have only been there since we went during the winter holiday season but it was a bit of a buzzkill to our relaxation. The buffet was amazing & and the steakhouse had the best food I've even eaten in my life !!!!

It was a great experience. We were on the Diamond Club (totally worth it) we were treated like royalty from the time we arrived at the hotel to the time we boarded our transport to the airport. Every single employee is attentive, caring and willing to please. The facilities and their entertainment schedule is family oriented as well as for adults only. It is a gem! The beach is beautiful, soft pinkish sand and a big lot to share. From the Housekeepers to the wait staff, I was impressed. I was not expecting so much undivided attention and care. Food wise, you cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants. We visited all and a few of the ones in Memories; but absolutely nothing wrong with the buffet. The variety of food, the great quality and the amazing service was definitely a surprised. I'm still craving mangú every morning. Also, by being part of the DC we were able to order food by the cabanas in the beach, and got fresh cut coconuts every day at 1 pm! Can't miss that! Visited the Spa, another amazing experience. Yes, do not drink the water from the tap, they do give you lots of bottle water, drink it! Mosquitoes are a little annoying sometimes, again, sometimes, especially right around dusk (they do a great job around the hotel spraying almost everyday). Now, there are bees by the beach area, bring your Epipen just in case. I went with my 8 month old baby, I only used the bug repellent once. Humidity, yes, it is the Caribbean, expect bad hair days.

It was a really good experience stay on this hotel, everything was excellent wifi, location, staff, beach food and everything. We have been purchase diamond that was a really good decision. Also the water park was really good and other pools and restaurants that have the royalton hotel was excellent Only 2 things we didn't like was the size of room that is not so big because we were 4 people and the guys that ask you everyday to have meeting for buy the member of hotel. Otherwise everything was really good Thank you

Diamond Club reservation staff at check in and check out were very professional courteous and excellent. Antonio and Francesco our butlers were also very good. Julie at the main dining area was exceptional and Wendy who provided maid service was also exceptional. Juan and Kendy the bartenders were very good. However the rest of the staff were ok or below par. Water park was fantastic loved by all. The steaks were well seasoned but the quality of the meat was poor. Food was good. The main dining was the best. A lot of variety-Much to choose and a lot to satisfy picky eaters. There were bars and places to eat everywhere and they did serve you at the beach and pool area. Overall would return but customer service for some staff require improvement.

My room was booked and had to stay at another resort for one night (trolley ride 3 minutes away) and received a free 4 night stay within a year. Great hotel, amenities and food. All great anyway

The check in was a nightmare. The front desk made several errors. At first they thought we were diamond and where to another area just to be sent right back. The room was supposed to be ready by 3pm and it was not until after 7pm. The only redeeming part was that the rest of the staff was great.

My husband and I had a good experience at the resort. The resort is small compared to most resorts that we stayed at but this was a good change of pace. There were a lot of children here at the resort which is good for families.

I can't begin to say what an amazing vacation and resort the Royalton is from the minute you arrive you feel like you were home the staff is warm and welcoming it is well worth the money which is not much to upgrade to the diamond club if you're lucky enough to swim out room and our most favorite part of the trip was Juan The bartender he is the nicest person I've ever met in my life I offered him a job back in Connecticut I wish you would come the food was amazing from buffet to restaurants if you can't find something you don't like there is something wrong with you I have never had better pineapple or mango ever I cannot say enough about the friendly staff the cleanliness of the property and the all-around good feel look no further than the Royalton as I've stayed and seven other resorts in Punta Cana and this by far is the best we got back to days ago and I have already booked for September to go back

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights (May 4 to May 7). Car was damaged during our stay at their parking lot (rear door, bumper, and some plastic was damaged). Yoan (assistant PR director) confirmed that vehicle arrived without damage but he couldn't see what or who hit us. He told us to leave while they investigate and that Mr. Miguel Suero (PR Director) would contact us on Monday. Got no phone call on Monday and we had to call to see what's going on. Secretary tells us that Miguel is on vacation and would 'probably be back' on Wednesday. We called on Wednesday and Miguel tells us that he knew absolutely nothing about the issue. We had to explain everything to him in which he simply replied us with 'the hotel is not responsible'. The law clearly states that the hotel is responsible. We confirmed it with AMET and 2 lawyers. He didn't even provide us with the video so that we can see for ourselves and report it to the insurance company. When we informed him what the law states, he said ah ok, we'll check and get back to you immediately. He never called. We called today (Friday) and when he picked up, he just hung up on us. When we called back he never picked up the phone again. What really angers me is how the hotel and Miguel handles the situation. The hotel doesn't even have to pay for the damages. They have insurance. Just report the damage and give the insurance company the video and done. In the end we're forced to repair the damages ourselves. Bad experience

I had a great time with my family at this resort. The resort itself offered a variety of things for kids to do between the waterpark, shows and pool/beach activities.
