From the moment we arrived from the airport we were harassed every day and everywhere we were about their 35th anniversary presentation dinner (timeshare). The safe in the room buttons didn’t work properly we had to call to get it open because one of the numbers didn’t work anymore and it was one of our code number. They never changed the safe or our room. The room felt damp and wet all the time. The jacuzzi in the room smelled of mildew. The pool chairs all were ruined and had holes of butt prints on each of them. I have picture to prove! I swear an employee of the hotel took my phone and after I made a huge fit it appeared all of a sudden at reception and the lifeguard had the nerve to say to me maybe you were confused cuz you were drinking! Really, my husband was asleep next to our stuff and everything was gone by the pool when he woke up. And no it was not closing time. all I have to say is that I don’t understand how people find this place EXCELLENTE when everything from food being horrible to the servers consistently talking amoungst themselves Inappropriately and missing on the customer service. I may not look Latina to them but I am and understand the language and let me tell you it’s disappointing to hear them plan out how to fool people.

Now is very good for a lower end brand. The staff spoke English very well. Our butler, Manuel, was excellent! The layout of the resort is very good. We did the preferred club. We think it is worth the extra money. That being said, I think it depends on the butler you get. Ours was probably the best one on the island. The food for an all inclusive was very good. We usually stay at Excellence resorts and the food was better at Now Larimer. The only real negative was one night they allowed vendors in our main courtyard selling items. Not as pushy as the beach but I don't think I should have had to deal with that while on the resort grounds. We will book with this brand again

We arrived about 48 hours after Hurricane Maria passed thru. There were clear signs that a Hurricane had passed however the staff were excellent and clearly working hard to make repairs and not interfere with the overall experience. Great work.

Our stay at NOW Larimar was outstanding! We were immediately greeted and welcomed with open arms upon our arrival with cool towels to dab our faces, a cool drink, and staff to take care of our luggage. The front desk staff (Juan) checked us in quickly and smoothly, explained EVERYTHING that we needed to know, answered our questions and introduced us to additional staff. EVERYONE was super-friendly and fun, which made our stay extremely enjoyable. Our room, all the pools (main and Preferred), restaurants, shows, casino, lounges, bars, EVERYTHING was absolutely first rate! Very special recognition to Miguel B. who personally assisted us with our every need, and the entire buffet dining staff, especially Francesco and his dining mate (Alex?)! Thank you all sooooooo much!

The cub was to loud. The food was not the best. To much seaweed st the beach.

Hotel is OK, nothing special not worth $300 a night for sure!! We stayed there for 4 nights for our friends wedding. Food is horrible, at least 10 people from our group got food poisoning. I would not recommend this hotel, there is more better places to stay. The bartender in the referred bar was friendly if you tipped him, if not he was always so "busy" that you had to wait for 5 minutes for your drink- even if you were the only one at the bar. Go somewhere else !!

This resort is amazing from the check in, to the cleanliness of the room, service at the bars and beach location. Great entertainment in the evenings. Look for Luis the concierge and Guillermo the bell boy they are friendly and professional and made the trip amazing! The destination wedding we attended was so beautiful and we'll organized to the very last detail.

Our room was okay. Not overly clean or comfortable. The resort staff were very friendly. The constant push to sell us additional things was annoying. The stuff for children was subpar. The pool was out of towels most days by 11 and if you didn't get to the beach by 8 in the morning you would not get a chair with an umbrella. Food was okay. The ocean was beautiful.

The staff was very welcoming and really courteous. Am very pleased with the service that was provided to us.

Stayed at the preferred club rooms, for the extra cost you get for the most part, a couple more bars, breakfast by the beach palapa and a better view.

The first room we were placed in was smelly (musty/smoky in a non-smoking room) and there was no privacy glass in the bathroom. We then had to request a new room twice but were able to move, although it was not a pool view as purchased. We also had issues with our keys and had to go to the front desk on two occasions because they stopped working. Room was often not cleaned or re-stocked until very late in the date.

Overall the experience was a positive one, however left much to be desired. The staff was very pleasant, although they consistently try to up-sell services during your stay which got to be annoying. The facilities were nice, although you can tell the craftsmanship was fairly shoddy in most of the public facilities (pools/bars/etc). Our room was nice at first glance although our safe did not work and the refrigerator did not work. The location of the resort was great - cannot ask for more than being directly on the beach. The regular entertainment of the resort was also very good, the group who put together much of the fun games and things were very engaging and fun. The food was mediocre, a couple of the restaurants were good while others were simply blah. Without upgrading to a premium package there was only a single beer available and one of the restaurants listed on the site was not available.

I just came back from Punta Cana.Me and my wife had a nice and pleasant experience at Now Larimar hotel.The staff everywhere you go:the pools bar,the restaurants,the disco,,, you name it ,is ready to take care of every attention,like they say:excelente!

The room was very humid, nothing dried overnight. The food was average, at best.

We went for 6 nights in the "rainy" season may 10-17. We were hesitant but It rained maybe one evening for a few hours and that was all. The weather was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and very accommodating to the simplest of inquiries. Preferred Package definitely not worth it, You get access to like one restaurant, one extra pool, and your rooms are more secluded (slightly, just a door with a key card). If you are a younger, more relaxed person, this place is awesome and is a real bang for your buck, and you absolutely dont need to upgrade to preferred. If you are a snarky middle aged mother, or on a very private honeymoon, preferred may be a good upgrade. The 'constant' badgering by sales people is not that bad at all. You maybe talk to 2 people a morning, and if you simply say no thanks, or make something up like we are leaving tomorrow they wont waste your time or theirs. If you are a person who cant say no, you may be in trouble. We did one of the excursions by these guys, Sonoma beach or something (awesome, highly recommend!!) Only major con was food, very repetitive and dicey at times, I got sick the last night. If you are expecting 3 or 4 star cuisine you came to the wrong place, but if you dont mind an omelette for breakfast, a cheesburger for lunch, and a 6.5/10 plate of food from a restaurant for dinner, then you will have little to complain about.

Gargantuan megaplex far from the beach, depending on where your room is located.

Stayed here 2 yrs ago many changes, for the better.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The staff is amazing, very caring, and accommodating. Wonderful white sand beach! The room was lovely! Only downsides would be no snorkeling right off the beach and because it's a foreign country there's always the chance of travelers diarrhea no matter how nice the resort and this is a very nice resort!

Place is great value...I'd stay again..recommend the upgrade. Food and drink good and service good at pool bars.

The pool was nice. The second you stepped out onto the beach you were harassed by locals and even the resort staff. Food and/or water messed my stomach up for the entire trip. An FDA should be imposed to clear this up.

not what we expected!!

great stay

now larimar -- now awesome!

Our stay at NOW Larimar was outstanding! This resort is amazing from the check in, to the cleanliness of the room, service at the bars and beach location. Great entertainment in the evenings.
