The location of the inn was great. It was an easy access to many things. There wasn't any ice available for customer use all week. The ice we were able to get wasn't conducive for an ice machine or for use in drinks. One ice machine wasn't working at all the entire time. We went to the Best Western to get ice. The people at the front desk had limited knowledge about surrounding points of interest and things to do and weren't able to assist us in making reservations for area restaurants or activities. They simple told us "I don't know. I don't know. I don't know." The cleaning staff did a nice job of cleaning our rooms, giving us fresh towels and changing burned out bulbs. They were also very polite. Unfortunately, a pipe broke which required the maintenance workers to shut off all water - hot and cold - for more than 4 hours. We realize a broken pipe is a major issue, but it would have been nice had the management informed us they were going to shut off the water so we could have made alternate plans for showering. We weren't able to shower for that day. Had we known, we could have showered ahead of time, especially since we had used the pool and had used suntan lotion. The breakfast was nice. It was somewhat limited, but it was good. The breakfast worker was very very nice.

Our room wasn't ready: beds are dirty - bed linen with black spots, pillows crumpled and dirty, no towels at all. Floor in a room and bathroom not cleaned up at all. We requested another room. Rooms are old with cracks on walls and windows. Breakfast area in front of restrooms ???

We had to change rooms because the first room had NO drapes. The second room had filthy chairs. We wouldn't sit on them. Neither room had windows that opened and no vent in the bathrooms so the humidity from the shower filled the room and you could smell/feel it when you entered. Both rooms had large flat screen TVs but the remote was broken in the second room and would turn on the TV but wouldn't change channels. No one monitors the pool. You could hear parents yelling at their children.

First of all we have stayed here before and chose to stay again this time. The reasonable price was the most compelling reason for us to stay. However we were very disappointed in our stay this time and will have to reconsider staying there again. The main problem was with our shower. We had a problem with the drain running very slowly where by the time you were done showering, the tub was almost have filled. It very undesirable to finish your shower standing in all the shampoo and soap film that you just washed off your body!!! I sent a message to the front office after the first experience and expected them to fix the next day. The following night we had the same negative shower experience. Alerted the front office again but the following day STILL did not have the problem resolved. Very disappointed in the stay and lack of follow up or remedy to the problem. Leads me to believe the customer service is greatly lacking at the Vagabond Inn.

Old. Dirty. Horrible beds. And cockroaches!!! When front desk was told of the cockroaches they apologized, mentioned some of the rooms were being remodeled and the cockroaches were probably disturbed. Seriously??? Will not use Vagabond Inn again. And won’t be using Orbitz for hotel reservations either!!’

Hotel is in a good location as it’s not in downtown but close enough. The room seems to be very low; the shower head was to my shoulders and my head almost hit the ceiling. So if you are taller than 6’1 this my not be the place for you

We enjoyed the warm weather, clean city, and scenic surroundings.

Construction throughout the entire hotel but clean rooms and nice pool area. Breakfast on weekends nice but the weekdays disappointing since it is in the office with only min. selections.

They are currently remodeling the eastern half of the motel, but it doesn't really interfere with the rooms that are available. The rooms are dated and old, but for the price, you just can't beat the low price. The pool and hot tub were good and the continental breakfast was fine.

The weekend I stayed in Palm Springs was record high temps of 122 degrees. I couldn't believe that the a.c unit in my room and other rooms were not operating properly. My room was extremely hot it felted like I was outside and not in a cool hotel room. I spoke with the front desk at check out and was told that the hotel room will be getting new a.c units so I will give this hotel another try I like the location. As of right now I will not recommend this other to anyone. Thanks

Was a little loud. I heard people outside my door a lot. Also, air conditioning couldn't keep the room cool enough. I had a difficult time sleeping in a hot room.

The desk clerk was friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was next to pool- people were loud in pool and walking by my room all night. The pillow was one of those square fluffy pillows where the stuffing slips out from under your head leaving no support. The mattress was older and sunk a bit- my back hurt the next day and I barely slept. Pool was warm. Not too close to trolley or stores. Bugs in my bathtub- incl centipede, and possible baby silverfish? Bathtub looked dirty. Refrigerator in room included a small freezer and air conditioner worked great. Desk had comfortable office chair and good lighting for studying, etc

The hotel was a good location for us, close to the Buzz free bus rides to downtown, breakfast had a good variety

We wanted and found this motel to have a good location, close to the main drag and decent restaurants in Palm Springs. The pool was very nice, with a cool temp and good hot tub. The motel has been there for some time, and has some need of primping up, but it is a clean and well run location. Easy acsess to downtown and the shops, restaurants, casino.

Glad I was drinking when I came back, so did seem as bad. Sorry to old too stinky.

Got a 1st floor room even tho it meant a free upgrade

This hotel is definitely showing its age and could do with a good "face lift." However, it has a pleasant staff, reasonable breakfast and a good price for a community that can be really expensive. The pool is heated and wonderful which means in the winter when it is a bit cool outside, you can enjoy a lovely pool outside anytime.

Great hotel with nice breakfast and central location

Continental breakfast was more than expected, hotel was quiet and room was comfortable

I don't have time to write about it...I've rated it and now I need to get to work.
