There wasn’t an option for 2 1/2 stars. But that is what I would give this hotel. The positives: great service by the front desk, both check-in and check-out, the comfortable king size bed, and nice linens, the complementary margaritas, their beautiful pool and nice hot tubs, the food/ service at El Hefe. The negatives: the disgusting old stained purple carpet in the hallways and hotel room. Did not want my bare feet to touch them. The furniture in the room was outdated. The table tops were a weird, faux raw-hide, that was stained and gross looking. My bedside lamps were stained and difficult to turn on. They look to be 20 years old. The TV was unplugged and I had to fight with the cords to fix it. I did call front desk but was able to find the power cord before someone came to help I used Lysol wipes to wipe down hotel room as it all looked dirty, even if it wasn’t. Other negatives the pool lounge cushions, and day bed cushions looked 20 years old, faded & stained. I would not lay on them without a towel or the house coat they provide. Ruined the nice pool. Another disappointment was ordering room service from El Hefe. They’re nachos are advertised $17 and when they were delivered, my bill was $34. I spoke to the front desk in the morning, and Randy was a gem and waved the hotel amenity fee. I explained, I don’t mind paying for something as long as it is clearly advertised. How do I known, I would’ve just gone to restaurant and ordered. And asked for takeout.

The online pictures of this place don't do it justice. This is a very tired property. The staff here are nice but a little indifferent. We stayed for three nights (paid $366 per night), declined service to room the first night but the second day we requested to have our room refreshed, twice. When housekeeping still didn't show by 2pm called front desk to be told that "they are prioritizing cleaning checked out rooms first" (this was a Sunday). They never came to clean the room but did bring clean towels at 5:30pm. The hallways and room was musty and smelled of mildew. The stain on the carpet was from our room, gross! To get into the pool area, you have to enter through the dilapidated gate in picture. Free breakfast card says you get coffee & OJ (but no, you have to choose one). Overall, would never stay here again, there are much nicer places in Palm Springs for way less.

The staff was nice, especially considering how dirty our room was. The bathrooms didn't look like they were cleaned very well before our arrival, but even after a "thorough" cleaning they still seemed dirty. We were in a suite and the futon that was considered our 3rd bed was so rickety and uncomfortable we barely wanted to sit on it, even less sleep on it. They were very accommodating when we asked for the room to be cleaned better, but I think it's just the current state of the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was HUGE--plenty of floor space to lay out my clothes and other stuff. But I wish there had been a set of open shelves to put things (there's certainly enough room for that). The room was clean, but the carpeting is due for replacement...mystery stains and things caked into it. Ew. Shower was fine. The gym had too many missing dumbbells, but some decent machines. But still, better than average. Location (opposite a plaza with a Ralph's supermarket and some good restaurants) is super. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the bathroom lights and they got it fixed ASAP, at night!

Staff was curteous, room smelled musty, bathroom was somewhat clean, carpet in room was heavily stained. Hallways are scary. They need better indicators as to where the ice is. Room was well equipped, location is good and price was reasonable. Property is tired and in need of renovation.

Felt more like a motel. Elevator, from our room, was at the very end of the hotel. Scuffs on the room walls and inside the bathroom, on every door. Ice machine is outside by the pool, first floor. Someone brought their dog to the hotel, which is fine, but the poor dog barked for a few hours - I'm thinking because it was left alone in the room. Nice tough with the 2 welcome drinks (margaritas). Decent location near downtown PS. Would try the many other hotels before going back. Appreciate the free parking.
