The Saguaro Palm Springs

The room was clean but needed a new paint job as there were lots of scuffs on the walls. The A/C wall unit rattled and needed to be cleaned out. We could also hear everyone walking above us, in the corridor, and talking in adjoining rooms. Sleep was not great. We did not take advantage of the yoga, spa services, or rental bikes but they all looked good. The highlight of the place is the pool area which is very nice with lots of seating options plus a bar. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is definitely focused on attracting a younger crowd and families with young children.

The outside seems nice and bright. Mid-century modern colors. Then you go to your room and it was literally a maze. Had to walk around a pa;;et left on the ground with 3 boxes on it. It was there for hours. Right in front of an open door where they do laundry. No workers seemed to care that people couldn't get around with luggage. I know it was there til at least 8:45pm. I had to call and ask them to move it before someone tripped over it. Then you walk into a short dark corner hallway that was piled with trash 6' high. The door does not say "to elevator" or anything of the sort. Which is why I couldn't find it. You go into the door, and it is a dark hallway inside. The elevator door is to the left. Once to the 2nd floor, the sign says to go right to my room number. So I turn right there is maybe one or 2 hotel room doors then a non-descript door. I went out it there to an outside hallway along the room fronts like you get at a motel 6 or something. It is a common walkway on the outside of the building where you walk along the room fronts. Once inside the room...The seating area is the Mexican furniture with leather top and the sides of chairs and bases are woven wood. The walls are painted mid-century modern so it doesn't match. The table that the tv sat on looked like a cheap garage sale dresser painted neon green. The bed was nice, I can say that. Just not what I expected. restaurant inside pricey too.

I'm sure this hotel would have been fun if I was in for a hip, happening time. But, I was looking for some quiet time around the pool. This is the place for bachelorette weekends or hook-ups. There was a great DJ at the pool, so if you want a party atmosphere then this is the place. Lots of amenities outside from hammocks to late night movies to the DJ at the pool. The hotel itself is old but refurbished and updated around 2012. It's dog friendly if you're interested in that.

The rooms have paper thin walls. We were awoken at 2:45am by the people next door coming back from the clubs. They were not just talking with in their drunk voices but they were playing very loud music when they got in to the room. This went on for a good 20 minutes until I finally called the front desk and they had security come to the room to have them turn off the music. Unfortunately, the people in the room were still keyed up from their night out and talked very loudly for another 20 minutes. The place was night, but they were obviously more interested in catering to a younger hipster crowd then to people who want to get a good nights sleep.

We arrived at 4:30 and check in was supposed to be at 4. They said our room wasn't ready and would have to wait an hour. At 6 they finally called us to let us know our room was ready. We were already in the hotel so we walked straight to the front desk. They let us know that for some reason our room was given away 3 times so now we will not have our room that we paid extra for to have a room with a patio by the pool. We had made these reservation 3 months in advance. After trying to give us a basic room on the third floor and it now being almost 7 we demanded to see a manager. They upgraded us to a suite which was nice but very far from the pool as we were hoping. Overall the stay was not as we were hoping. The pool area was small and the hotel was not as clean.

Came for a girls' weekend to relax and enjoy the spa amenities, pool. Check-in was quick, though the employees did not make eye contact and were a little brusque. The room was clean and colorful, just like the rest of the hotel. Amenities were OK, some extra towels, no robes. Pool area was crowded and the towels are a free-for-all, so we waited for them to be replenished. Balcony of room was nice, we had a corner room and if you are big on privacy, it does not have a lot. Balcony glass faces other rooms and you are very close to others' balconies (within earshot). Biggest downside is that the ice machines located on each floor were inoperable after the late morning/afternoon. The only time the machine had ice was around 9am. May be due to heat. Spa amenities are nice and staff was extremely courteous. Hotel restaurant is hip and happening but on the smaller side so it does get crowded. Overall, for the price, it was an OK stay.

Great pool area. It closes at midnight and the areas were clean.

Pool was dirty services was bad. I needed up leaving the same day and was charged and checkout the same day.

Pool was fun and El Jefe was delicious. Pool kept running out of towels, AC in our room didn't work (thank god it was March and not June) although they did ask if we wanted someone to service it (we declined as it was midnight). No coffee maker in room, but there's coffee pods...? Front desk staff was fantastic though.

Had a great time here really well done Modernized place

Our first room smelled like cigarette although it was a nonsmoking room. The front desk happily moved our room. Mini fridge in the room was great as I had dietary restrictions and was able to store my food. No complaints about the food. Had room service breakfast and lunch by the pool. Will definitely be returning.

I really was under the impression that this is a 4 star hotel. If adding a fridge in the room will raise your star from 1 to 4 than whoever invented the rating scale was drunk. No difference from a motel, but it's called hotel and worst off all 4 star , it's a joke. Dirty carpets, prehistoric Tv, room furniture looks like the 60's. They also mentioned kids frendly , that needs to be corrected to -" we allow kids" , there is nothing on the ground or inside the rooms that is kids friendly. It's not the Palm Springs you imagine. I would not recommend this motel, you can find cheaper motels in the area. .. .. ..

A friend and I decided to head out to Palm Springs for a last minute trip to enjoy the pride Weekend festivities. I had been wanting to visit the Saguaro for some time, and was lucky enough to get a decent price for one of their last available rooms. I arrived well before my friend, and although my room was not ready, I was offered a wristband to join the pool party while I waited. The party was in full swing, and everyone was so friendly and accommodating, I was able to make friends quickly and enjoy the wait. When my room was delayed more than an hour past check-in time, Sam at the front desk was quick to offer waiving my resort fee for the inconvenience. The King size room was roomy and comfortable, very clean, and surprisingly quiet (considering all the partying that was going on). We spent a lot of time downtown, which was easy to get to on their free shuttle, of the Buzz trolley which picked up right in front of the hotel. I used the fitness center which was adequate, and even though I wasn't able to take advantage of everything I was impressed by the number of amenities such as Yoga classes, bocci ball, generous pool hours, and Spa. The restaurants looked inviting, however we ate downtown. I was fortunate enough to share a shuttle ride with one of the hotel's owners, Blake, who was lovely and had several suggestions for enjoying my stay. The driver (I think his name was Eric) was incredibly friendly and pointed out several recommendations for restaurants and hot spots in Downtown. The hotel is also very close to 2 of my favorite South Palm Springs restaurants: The Purple Room (great supper club right next door) and Elmer's (for breakfast) I would definitely stay at the Saguaro again and recommend to friends.

I was sold by the mountain view and robes mountain view with parking lot in the way and didn't ever get our robes. I feel we almost paid extra for the robes and never received them.

We only stayed one night but the pool was nice, always somewhere to sit and the DJ on Saturday was fun.

PLACE WAS AWESOME, GREAT ROOMS AND SERVICE. HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FRIDGE AND MAINTENANCE STAFF WAS THERE AT OUR ROOM WITHIN A FEW MIN AND WAS VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY. ALSO THE POOL PARTY WAS FUN AND GREAT TIME. BUT MIGHT NEED MORE WAITRESSES/WAITERS TOOK A LITTLE TO GET DRINKS BUT NOT A BIG DEAL STILL A GREAT TIME!

Friendly and attentive staff. Great on site restaurant with knowledgeable and creative bartendender and chef. Best spontaneous trip I've booked!

Hotel is about 20 minutes from the tennis. Workout room is reasonable. They do charge an extra amount per night that is not in the cost you pay upfront.

Great for a girls' weekend. Would definitely go back--maybe not in peak season when the pool gets extra club-y. Staff was exceptional.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Saguaro for birthday weekend and had a great time. For the price and location, you definitely get your value - we paid less than we had expected to per night and had the access to a comfortable room, gym, and great views. My favorite part was the bikes you can check out with the front desk - we got to enjoy all of Saturday riding around from place to place on our bikes.
