My family chose the Hyatt Palm Springs since we were traveling with my parents for their anniversary and they had stayed there a number of years back and enjoyed their stay. In choosing a Hyatt, I was expecting a certain level of quality and service, but it just wasn't there. No one did anything horrible, but I wasn't exactly floored either. Check-in was seamless until we got to the elevator which looked like it was about 40-50 years old, took forever, and was the only one in the entire hotel. The one next to it was closed for service the entire time. We later found out it has been like that for weeks. The rooms were just...fine. Nothing out of this world. Could tell they had been updated but definitely on a dime. The ceiling was peeling in the bathroom as well and it sounded like the AC was leaking every time it turned on which probably was leading to the leak. No other issues in the room, clean and nice. Spent most of our time by the pool. Had to go inside most days for any drinks since the pool bar wasn't open. Understandable, but still a hassle. There was a glass wall that surrounded the pool as was filthy to the point you couldn't see through it. We asked for the music to be turned on one day and it took three people almost 2 hours to finally turn it on. This shouldn't need to be asked for, this should be part of opening the pool every day. Overall, nothing horrible, but for a Hyatt, they can do better. I'd have to see a complete remodel for me to ever come back.

Out of the 6 days we stayed our room was cleaned twice, we must of been the last room because they came at 6:00 in the evening to clean it. One elevator was broken and they never worked on it, when a wind storm came it blew down the temporary wall outside so dirt and sand blew into the hotel, you could taste it. They only had valet parking at the hotel for $25/day so we had to park in a unsecured parking lot block away from the hotel.

Loved being able to sit on the comfortable balcony outside my room and view the action on the street below. Great place to read a book or chat with friends. However the room was not cleaned at all after the first full day of my stay. After complaining it was taken care of. Only one of two elevators worked. The staff that I met were very nice, but of course I did not meet any of the cleaning or maintenance staff.

Room not ready at check-in. They tried to sneak a valet charge on my bill. Paying $275/nt and still have a facilities charge at checkout? And tax on the facilities charge too. Why not just fold it in the base price? Annoying, annoying, annoying.

Great location A pig is still a pig no matter how much lipstick you put on it. Busy weekend one elevator that barely worked. Hotel is showing its age. Orbitz offered the hotel at 199 a night we booked it, then came back at 142 a night and refuses to honor their price guarante, Obitz put your money where your moth is

Great hotel with great staff - very friendly and pet friendly.

I loved my stay here, all the staff was super friendly and courteous. Will be staying here in the future for sure!

Tiny room with window to the interior of the hotel. The shower was a raised tub with a curtain - very dangerous setup.

Made last minute plans on a long holiday weekend, so I shouldn't be surprised by the cost, but for the money I paid I expected to stay in a nicer hotel. There are areas of the hotel that are run down and should be upgraded. The AC in the room we stayed in was very weak, causing the room to be stuffy. The pool area is on the small side and could use more seating. Basically, you are paying for the location of the hotel. It's in a great location and walking distance to everything.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is in downtown Palm Springs. It is walking distance to everything. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The room was huge. It had a bedroom and a living room. It was nice to come back and relax on the couch instead of having to sit on the bed. This would be especially nice for long stays.

The two suites I paid for were very spacious and overlooked the golf course and mountain, great environs. Bathroom was very ordinary. Bed was comfy. In the outer room the TV stand was broken so the TV leaned over sideways. Desk staff were outstanding, friendly, gracious. The hotel itself was very plainly decorated and the swimming pool fairly small (considering it's over 90 degrees most of the year and if you go out to walk the shops you are ready to jump in the pool when you get back). They charge $16 to $25 a day for parking and $20 for breakfast in their restaurant, at a time when many hotels are offering free breakfast. Pets are allowed (a plus), and there is a grand piano in the lobby that they tolerate guests playing (another plus). Free shuttle around town up to 3 miles. There is a $20 "facilities fee" daily, I don't know what for. There is a desk for a Concierge but no one was ever there. They rent bicycles. They seem to be constructing an addition to the hotel at this time. Overall I was not particularly impressed with this Hyatt.

Spent 4 nights there and enjoyed the time, especially enjoyed the Thursday night street fair.

Very reasonably priced. Close to all the shops. Service was great. Room had a nice view. Stayed with kids and had a fantastic time. Bike hire is free and lots of fun.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Palm Springs. The room was amazing with a great view. The staff was very friendly and very helpful!

I would say overall trip was great and the hotel was great as well. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone

The setting of the hotel is beautiful nestled near the mountains. The pool area and bar are very inviting to relax and avoid the heat in the day and the enjoy the pleasant Palm Springs evenings.

A good hotel, good location right downtown They did charge a resort fee-- a bit of a surprise. Nice pool, rooms are good size. When we were there the street closed down one night for an outdoor street fair-- happens weeky, so find out the night and eat good street room that night. --Peter

The hotel was great. The staff from the valet to room service was efficient and friendly. The rooms were nicely laid out, and surprisingly the beds were quite comfortable. I was here for Coachella, but the hotel was not participating in the festivities with any type of pool parties of their own. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Overall the hotel is very good. The only thing I was not happy about was the $25 valet charge when there is no valet present later at night. After waiting a few minutes for someone to come and take the car and watching two girls at the front desk standing there talking instead of letting us know just to come in and leave the keys with them didn't impress me. Although the valet doing the day was very nice.

The Hotel is outdated and in need of repairs. The service was below average, as it took several calls to get a hold of the staff at the front desk, valet, housekeeping etc. the room was dirty upon arrival after it was allegedly cleaned. The chair in the bedroom was stained and removed upon request, but never replaced. After bringing several concerns to the attention of a manager, nothing was done to correct the situation. Room service menu had to be requested and then was several xeroxed pages stapled together. Very unprofessional. And then to top it off after $200 per night, valet was an additional $25 per night and a resort fee of $15 per night for use of the facility pool, workout room, Internet and water! Very disappointed for s Hyatt! But the cleaning staff, after the first night, did do a good job.
