I had a strange experience here. Coming from LA - 2 hours from the property. Wanted to check in early to drop off my stuff. Called - and called - and called. They simply didn't answer their phones. Tried calling to make a reservation and was on hold for 2 hours. Finally made it to the property (while still on hold). The property has a parking lot and wall - can't see in. Is this really a place to stay? Waited. A customer came out and said it was was, indeed, a place to stay and had 17 units. She got an employee to come out. He basically said they don't answer the phone until 3:00 when people can check in. They didn't respond to texts or phone calls from multiple cell phones. Aggravating! Property is old or classic, depending on your tastes. Things seemed to work well. Quiet - it's in a residential area. It's essentially 17 little bungalows assembled around a pool and lawn. Wish I could give them a great review - but you really have to answer the phones.

I loved my stay at A Place in the Sun! It’s so quiet and peaceful, and it’s like stepping back in time. The units have everything you need and are so comfortable and spacious! I felt like I had my own little private apartment. Alex was wonderful and so helpful! It’s great that this hotel is in a beautiful neighborhood and convenient to everything. The pool area is also quite lovely. I would absolutely stay here again!

Place is run down and the rooms smell like cat pee. Bare bones amenities (if you consider towels an amenity) and motel 6 would have been nicer. Staff was friendly but that’s about it. Place is gross. If everything else around wasn’t booked solid we would have left immediately.

Modest kitchen with gas stove and oven, microwave and refrigerator/freezer that worked well. Outside community BBQ worked well. Pool set at 88 degrees and small but nice. Quiet neighborhood. Bungalow Heaven in the Desert

What a cute set of 1950s bungalows. Perfect for a friends get away. Adult only which was nice. Pool and jacuzzi are open all hours. Theres a Bar area and BBQ great for gatherings. Private and small so it feels cozy rather than the larger resorts. Each bungalow has a nice size kitchen some have living rooms and dining rooms and private patios. Quite too as it sits away from busy Palm Canyon Drive. Cute neighborhood and 5 mins by car to Downtown Palm Springs, grocery stores and restaurants. Cant wait to come back for another stay.
