Good stay, but Vacasa's service / quality issues stand out
We visit Palm Springs yearly and always stay in a house. This was my first time renting a Vacasa property, and it felt noticeably different from staying and working with a local property manager. Given the price, I expected better quality—more hangers and drawers, adequate laundry detergent beyond the small welcome package, better toilet paper, and sufficient paper towels.Communication with Vacasa was frustrating. Their ticketing system made it difficult to reach local support, leading to repetitive exchanges and long wait times. A dedicated local team would greatly improve the guest experience. That said, the house looks exactly as advertised. Previous freezer issues seem resolved, and the AC works exceptionally well—we often turned it down, which is rare for a Palm Springs rental. One important note: this house sits directly under the flight path for takeoffs. Starting at 6 AM, loud planes fly overhead. While brief, the noise is significant enough to disrupt conversations. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing.

Issues with Reservation
It was a very nice property, but at the last minute the property we booked was not available. We settled for a smaller property, but did not get any refund. When we called to ask about this, the reservation manager stated it was due to charges with VRBO and “dynamic pricing”. However the property we stayed at was clearly advertised for 100.00 less per night. I feel we were not fairly compensated for the last minute switch that was Vacasa’s fault.

Awful absolutely awful customer service
The customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. We contacted the rental company looking after the property on day one of our stay around a couple of issues; no cable tv as was advertised (false advertising) our emails were ignored repeatedly. The house had the bare minimum in terms of essentials (no dishwasher liquid, so couldn’t use ). Very very poor. Would not stay again

Excellent house, pool, & location
Would stay here again. Excellent house with great location. Close to the airport and downtown. Pool and hot tub were fantastic. Super comfortable sun loungers!! Had everything we needed. Bathrooms and bedrooms super clean and beds were really comfortable. Quick response to any questions we had. Loved this place!!

Horrible experience
Moldy Band aid and beer can in pool upon arrival. Dog poop in the backyard, and overflowing garbage cans outside. No one returned my call for upwards of 2.5 hours. Was told to clean things up myself. When I told them the pool net was busted, I was told to go buy one. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none are available. Asked to have the dirty and green pool cleaned and was told someone would arrive that day. No one showed up the 4 days we stayed, and unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool. The broken and beeping fire alarm was the final disaster, and again received no assistance or even a call back. Absolutely horrible experience both at the house(which is not maintained, and with the Vacasa management group),and ruined a fun trip.

March in Palm Springs
Palm Springs
Beautiful mid century gem and quiet neighborhood. Perfect for a quick get away with the girls. The weather was dreamy, cool nights warm days.
Read the fine print in the ad. You have to ask to have the hot tub heated prior to checking in. There isn’t an option to opt in or out of the service during check in. This will also be an extra $100 a day which we would have happily paid to be able to use the hot tub. There were several lines of communication some were not very responsive.
The indoor fireplace did not work and the freezer doesn’t get very cold (ice cream melted) nor makes ice. Minor inconveniences. We would stay here again.

Good vibes
The only difficulty was the front door lock is a little tricky to open and close, the dining room chairs need to be replaced other than it was a fantastic weekend in a beautiful home.

Overall good stay
Our 4 night stay was nice for the most part. We were 4 adults and 2 children and the space was just right. A few changes need to be made to the property to show vacation renters their time and MONEY are valued by the home owner. Vacasa should be communicating these issues with the home owner and the importance of it or maybe they’re not so I don’t know who’s dropping the ball.
PROS:
extremely clean home (props to the cleaners), beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, fully stocked with everything you might need, huge saltwater pool, large and beautiful backyard, very close to restaurants, casino etc., quiet neighborhood.
CONS:
House had a distinct smell in the bedrooms which I can best describe as the smell of sweat, NO MUSIC was plastered all over the home along with the severe consequences breaking the rule comes with and the constant reminder via texts and emails from Vacasa was annoying, dining chairs were worn out and majority of the seats torn and an eye sore, 4 lounge chairs outside were an eye sore in the beautiful yard and had severe sun damage with brown discoloration all over and had no cushions to cover it up, polished concrete flooring throughout the home is very dangerous and I feel obligated to warn people. If you walk in with even a drop of water on your feet then you’ll be flat on your back in pain from the fall so please be careful especially with your children and the elderly. The gold metal coffee table is very dangerous and all 4 corners are extremely sharp like a knife and need to be sanded down so people won’t get hurt.
Overall, our trip was nice and the home IS nice but paying over 2k for 4 nights, having torn furniture in the home was disheartening and upsetting.
