Friendly staff, rooms very clean and fresh looking. My only issue is having to pay a 200 dollar deposit and having to wait 5-10 days to get it back.

Overall, nice hotel. Clean. Quiet. Easy check in. Easy parking. Not terribly far from the beach.

Checking in the was most confusing task ever. The front clerk was nice however she was not very clear on checking in. There was an additional $200 deposit and pet fees. Each morning the hotel keys would stop working and kept having to go up front to get them active. Then to top it off, when I checked out, the clerk had one of the other staff members check the room to ensure it was “cleared”. So insulting and plain out rude.

We did not stay here. When we pulled in there were people LIVING in the parking lot. They would not let me put a credit card down and only wanted cash, what??? And then said I could withdraw said cash from the ATM in the lobby. Again, what??The entire family of the woman at the form desk were sitting in the lobby across from the desk which was odd. When the pay arrangements were not acceptable and seemed very shady, we decided to stay elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel.

The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful

Nice boutiques style hotel.

Nice

The hotel is bit dated, they didn’t have breakfast , the room cleaning services were awful , they just gave us clean towels and didn’t even empty out the trash. If you want your bed made and linen changed you have to ask for it. The water pressure in the shower was weak.

nothing unique. A $200 deposit on your card in case you destroy the room? No breakfast. Housekeeping prepares coffee when they arrive 8am, 8.30am. I guess reception people are to lazy to make it. Simple coffeemaker in room, micro and refrig. Close to Oceanside Pider and Harbor.

So, if you are looking for an inexpensive option in the Oceanside area then this hotel is for you. Granted it is not cheap per se, but for the Ocean side area, it is cheaper than other options. Also, the $200 charge that gets put on your credit card so you don't smoke or trash the rooms is annoying, but you will get it back (I hope since it is still on my card as of this review) in 5 or so days. That being said, you get what you pay for. It is a cheap hotel. When we arrived there was all sorts of construction going on and it was quite noisy and hard to get into the hotel (There was no construction on Saturday or Sunday which was nice.) Also, when you enter the hotel parking lot, go slowly as there is a severe angle and your car will scrape the bottom going in to the lot and out every time you come and go (at least ours did). When we got to our room, the sheets had hairs on them and it appeared that they hadn't been washed from whoever stayed there previously (Think Goldylocks and someone has been sleeping in my bed and I see his/her hair). We notified the cleaning people and new sheets were put on promptly. Here is the skinny...We didn't want to spend $900 plus dollars on a nicer hotel for 2 nights and have to pay all those nonsensical resort fees/parking fees (free parking at the Oceanside) so we went to the Hotel Oceanside and we got what we paid for.

The room was really hot when we first checked in because the air was off. Took a while to get the air conditioner going and it only made the room slightly cool. The room was just an average room and way overpriced, I guess you’re just paying for location. The sink had a problem draining and water sat in the bowl as you used it. wouldn’t stay here again unless there was nothing cheaper nearby.

The hotel was in a poor section of the city and the staff was not professional. Simple coffee pot Rooms were minimal overpriced!!! Not a value stay!!!

Like new condition

Nice the lady with green blue dyed hair very nice

Our experience with management and employees was odd. When we checked in, I made the reservation for two people and put it under my name, but used my husband’s credit card to hold the room. My husband checked in and needed my ID so he came back to the car for my ID. Five minutes later he came back to the car saying I needed to check us in and the front desk person would not let him check in, even though he provided my ID and his credit card that was used to hold the room. I was feeding our infant in the car but I went inside and checked us in. $200 deposit which is listed online so I knew that was coming and they charged a pet fee of $33.75 per pet per night. We have one dog that is our pet and one dog that is a service animal for my diabetes. Service animal fees are waived by law, however the manager would not oblige. The front desk person said we had to call the owner, Jenn, to discuss the matter. In 2 seconds, the owner was on speaker phone and she announced to me that her daughter is severely autistic and her husband is a lawyer. Then she proceeded to ask me if my animal was a service animal (yes) and what task it performs. I answered her lawful questions and then the owner asked me if I checked in with a driver’s license or a state ID. I used a driver’s license. She announced that she would be charging me the pet fee and not waiving it for my service dog because I have a driver’s license and that makes my need for a service animal invalid. That is not legal.

Good hotel st a decent price. No frills, but would stay there again

I read the previous reviews and can say that aside from the square pillows (which I liked) a lot must have changed. No gentleman’s club- that property has be flattened. The hotel was clean, new paint, new carpet, the rooms were very clean, stove-refridge-sink we spotless. Dishes looked new. For the price, if you need a place for a few nights and don’t mind not having a pool, bar, restaurant I’d recommend it. Plenty of places to go nearby.
