Tried to call concierges desk a couple times. Just got voice mail. Housekeeping was ok. Need to pat attention to details..leaving towels when used ones removed. Refilling coffee otherwise good. The hotel pool /bar was perfect, jazz club great. Staff friendly and helpful. More good , no bad, just those few suggestions. Very convient to everything

Royal Sonesta is my preferred property when visiting New Orleans. Great location, beautiful hotel and great staff. I had an issue with shower and maintenance people were at my room before I made it back up there. Very impressive response and very enjoyable stay.

Transportation to the property was almost impossible. Furniture the room was stained. I know the property has no control of the noise but the Burbon Street side was super noisy, I don’t recommend that side. All in all, we will never stay there again.

We stayed at the Royal Sonesta for two days. The hotel is beautiful and the front desk staff were always so polite. The only person we weren’t fond of was the security guard. We walked out of the hotel and didn’t know which way to go, so we asked him. He was standing at the door so we assumed he would be polite and answer our question. But he had a little attitude so we let him be. We weren’t going to let him ruin our trip. Any way, our room was clean, comfortable and the balcony was nice to sit out on and drink while people watching. I would suggest bringing ear plugs when going to bed because it’s so loud at night with people partying until 4 to 5 AM. If you are a light sleeper i would also suggest getting a room at the back of the building because you’ll get no sleep. The hotel is also walkable to everything. We walked to Jackson Square one morning. It seemed far on the map but it wasn’t. Especially since you’ll have so many shops to look into along the way. We also walked to the casino at night. It was a short distance and safe. All in all we had a great stay.

Find a better Stay!

Carpets in room dirty, white socks get balck fast. Noicy area. In big need of upgrade of the room standard (renovation is needed). Extremly expenive to buy late checkout ( $15 for 2 hrs) - the Hotel prioritate buisness befor costomer service and convinient. Valet is $55+$7 in tax - also Extremly expensive. I would recomend to look at another Hotel to stay at. Area is also VERY risky.

This Hotel is in the perfect spot on Bourbon street! We had an amazing room walked right straight out to the pool. Was very quiet, you could not hear a thing from Bourbon street. It is a beautiful and very clean Hotel. The doorman Calib was such a doll. Courteous always with a welcoming greeting everytime you left and returned. All the staff was great as well. We will always use Royal Sonesta Hotels as our choice of stay.

This is right in heart of the French Quarter. This was my second stay at this hotel. It is a bit noisy at night but hey it's New Orleans its to be expected.
