we needed a taxi at 4:30 am, the staff walked us down a still active bourbon st to the taxi stand.

Room was located directly across from the bars and clubs on bourbon street. very noisy all night long. they even supply ear plugs. to add to this there is construction going on and jackhammers and saws running constantly. both days I had to call the desk for coffee as the room attendants didn't leave coffee for the coffeemaker either day

As I arrived, i was extremely grateful for the underground parking. The quarter is so congested and confusing at all hours that it was a huge relief to not have to find a spot somewhere and roll my suitcase through the chaos. The lobby was absolutely lovely, but check in took about 40 minutes with only one customer in line in front of me. When a second staff member started checking in also, he didn't ask who was next and allowed a random couple that hadn't waited in the line to walk right up. Several of us in the line were displeased with that lapse in consideration. My room was beautiful and exactly as i expected. I then went downstairs to the hotel's oyster bar for dinner and the food was wonderful. I was on the 5th floor, but the elevators were extremely fast and my room was quieter than I expected for being on a very busy street. The following day I enjoyed being a quick walk to the historical sites and restaurants i wanted to visit, no driving needed. On my final morning, I had an issue. I had kept the Do Not Disturb sign on my doorknob for my entire stay. Checkout is at noon. However, at 9:00 am a staff member tapped on my door once very quietly and then immediately used her master key to open my room door while I was undressed and trying to sleep. I had to jump out of bed and yell that I'm still in here and she closed the door without apologizing. When I was ready to check out I noticed that the Do Not Disturb sign was missing from my door and there weren't any on a

Very disappointed, particularly after having enjoying it very much just a month ago. in this day and age, internet is a must, and even with a turbo boost extra payment essentially nonexistent. Further, the staff was obviously "second string" , I guess because it was over New Years , but really poor. Our TV movies didn't work, we called 3 times, and more than 2 hours later someone came and said it wasn't working anywhere in the hotel. After 2 more days we called again. This time they found a problem with our set and we moved rooms. so for 5 days, no internet, no movies. I'd just got back from Africa and was desperately needing to get work done

Nice hotel. Near everything. Great walking distance to everything in French quarters. The internet wasn't the strongest connection but it was ok. Nice place to go to party but not too much for relaxing. Or at least our room had thin walls so you heard everything on bourbon street and the rooms next door. But overall it was a great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing place to go!

Hotel location is absolutely perfect. Right on Bourbon Street. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Hotel staff was excellent. Sandra the front desk gal was exceptional. She went totally out of her way to accommodate us. The only complaint that we have is that the walls are paper-thin. Luckily our neighbors were quiet but even so you can hear everything. Another note... Bourbon Street is frequently blocked off when map questing use 700 Conti Street which is where the garage is located.

Hotel was excellent. They have all the facilities you would need for a stay in New Orleans. Staff was extremely helpful. Orbitz advertising lists a breakfast buffet which the hotel does not have. However the manager provided breakfast vouchers to cover our stay. This is not the first time Orbitz lists items that the hotels do not have. Location was most convenient for getting around town.

Hotel was nice with easy access to the French Quarter and facilities were good, however, the internet was terrible and virtually unworkable. Rooms have a Kerig which was nice but supplies were not replenished after the first day. Empty wine glass sat in the room for the entire stay. Correcting a few minor problems would make this an outstanding place to stay.

Great location, Friendly staff! Our room was very clean and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly helpful. The pool was very nice too. Couple of cons: no continental breakfast or water in the rooms (not for $8). Rooms kept out most noise which was impressive!! Thank you!!

Top class accommodations. Southern hospitality. Convenient to everything in the French quarter.

The hotel was nicely appointed, very secure and up to date. You are right in the middle of Bourbon St. and if you like bars, restaurants and people,,, this is your place. We checked in on Friday, leaving Sunday. Our room was on the side of the hotel so we did not get the street noise during the night. ( Bourbon St. is closed to vehicle traffic at night, at least on the weekend, don't know if that happens during the week). The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. It has a valet service, you go around the side of the block, down a ramp and you are below the hotel. Only problem is getting to the garage, in the evening, as the people walk in the streets,,, even the cross streets and could care less about letting you through. We ate breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, you walk through the bar, into a breezeway, then into the restaurant. I had the shrimp and crab omelet, it was fantastic. My daughter and I were in New Orleans for the Steeler's game, and had no problem getting around, even though there was a lot of construction. Yes, I would stay there again. Oh yes, had to hunt down the valet, 6:45 am Sunday morning when we were leaving, but the bell man did find him. You call down and the valet has your car ready. No one answered when I called, twice.

Royal Sonesta is a well located quality hotel with a great staff, great pool, great restaurants both casual(Desire) and fine dining(Revolution) Great price/value.

Great hotel. In the middle of all the action. ...................

The Royal Sonesta was elegant and best of all right on Bourbon St. They were in the perfect location for anything and everything you need. Rooms are well maintained and staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great accommodations and you're just steps away from Bourbon Street!

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, hanging by the pool was a blast, and it's in the middle of everything. You can park your car and forget about it until you leave. We were looking for a get away but didn't feel like going to the beach again. We chose the Royal Sonesta, because it is close to wonderful places to eat and pool is inviting and has a bar.

Wonderful experience when we took my mother for her 75th birthday. They treated her like a queen! My husband and I are already planning on returning and definitely staying again at the Royal Sonesta. Hats off to Matthew and Tony for the exceptional, professional services provided.

Stayed at the Royal Sonesta for Tales of the cocktail. It's honestly a beautiful hotel and right off of bourbon so you could walk everywhere! Customer service was great and everyone was friendly, especially the guys in the front! Yes, it is loud, your staying on Bourbon St - Get over it! In your room are complimentary ear plugs which worked great! My balcony was beautiful and a great asset to have while staying here. My only con was the white down comforter inbetween the sheets seemed dirty. If I came back to NOLA I would look to stay here again.

Oh that pool! So lovely and perfectly maintained. Poolside service too thank you! I'm always picky about bedding and here it was top notch- luxurious. We stayed in a curt yard view balcony room 3rd floor near the pool. I love this place, helpful great staff, can't bear the central French Quarter location and the food is really good.

Dear Dave, It was a pleasure to host you on your recent French Quarter visit and we thank you for sharing your comments. While it warms us to read that our central address provided you ideal access to all of your “must-visit” destinations, we apologize if the Bourbon Street facing room was not your preference. Should you join us again, as we hope you will, we invite you to explore one of the rooms facing our pool area and courtyard, which provide the perfect respite for those seeking a break from the buzz and energy beyond our front doors. We thank you again and apologize that your experience fell short. We do hope we have the chance to win back your heart. Warm Regards, Royal Sonesta New Orleans
