InterContinental the Clement Monterey

I was so disappointed in the customer service, additional charges for everything, not enough toilet paper in the room for 4 people, and the jacuzzi was taped off when we wanted to use it. Check in clerk was rude when asked questions about parking my car. He was overly defensive, with no eye contact or politeness and was loud and embarrassing! If I hadn’t already pre-paid, I would have left! I won’t stay there again.

Great location but many issues...when I ordered room service for breakfast my fruit serving had worms in it. Our morning was ruined due to this Telephone never work in our room. Bathtub was not properly cleaned. The C Restaurant in the lobby offered poor service, long waits between appetizer and entree. Go to the Holiday Inn next door. Dont recommend this place.

The main reason why we stayed here because of the location. It's right next to our fave seafood restuarant, which is Bubba Gum and also we like walking up along the coast--so beautiful! Anyway, the room was nice and clean with the fireplace and the best part was the bed and pillows--we had a great night sleep on that bed. Also I liked the fact that the hotel provide complimentary drinking bottle water in the room and we could ask for more as well. However, I paid almost $300 per night, but our room was still on the other side of the main building, which we had to walk across the bridge to our room, what we could see only the parking lot view--kinda disappointing! We ordered room service in the middle of night, the food was good. The hotel's amenities though--it's real depressing: swiming pool, it'slong tiny teeny one and the hot tub was for 2 people and there's no more room for anyone else if someone else already in there. Overall, I liked only the location so next time I would look for something else near by, but get a better view or just a day trip without paying that much just to stay over night.

The Intercontinental Monterrey is a superb hotel in a prine location.

Ideal location, comfortable rooms and exceptional service by all members of the staff

Nobody, I mean nobody was rude at this hotel Everyone was helpfully and had a smile on their faces at all times

IT IS NEARBY THE AQUARUM.VERY COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. I LIKE IT .

Stayed 2 nights in April and had a great experience. Amazing location close to everything in Monterey. I took an amazing morning run each morning straight from the hotel on the coast complete with crashing waves, seagulls and seals. Fantastic. Rooms were spotless, tasteful and spacious for 3 people (2 large beds). The fireplace is cute but useless, great big bathroom with nice amenities. Too bad breakfast wasn't included. There's a cozy Starbucks across the street which we enjoyed. Originally I was told that parking and wifi were not included but upon personal request they agreed to include it. This is apparently negotiable. In this location parking is pretty essential and who in this day charges for wifi?? The front desk service was excellent and thorough.

We have stayed here 3 times and each stay has been excellent on all counts. The location near aquarium is awesome as well as nearby restaurants and Starbucks.

This hotel is great. Beds were very comfortable. Definitely a great place to stay.

Service treated us special. Fell asleep listening to the ocean. Ate great food at the restaurant. Enjoyed their sculpture and interior design. (they need to give credit to the artists & designers) Minimalist interior was clean and soothing. Complimentary espresso and water in the room was great. We'll be back.

We were headed back home from being in Reno for a whole week. Hubby and I decided to take the kids to the Aqurium in Monterey. Got a bit late so decided to book this hotel. Location was key as it was located on Cannery Row, where most of the cute shops and restaurants are. Check in was easy and staff was great. Went into our room and it was really roomy. The bed was humongous ( two adults and, a 2 and 8 year olds fit comfortably. My 13 year old would have fit too but she wanted to sleep on the floor. Lol). They do however charge for almost everything, except the complimentary water of course. There was a fee for parking and for wifi. Also, there are little things in the room you have to be aware of if you don't want to pay (there was a stuffed sea otter which we thought someone left behind but read the price list and it was listed there for purchase. Had to hide from my 2 year old lol). The gym facilities was very nice. Bigger than other hotels I've stayed in. Pool was very small, I would say about 6 feet long by 4 feet wide but again the ocean is right in front of you so why do you need a pool. Lol. Overall the stay was great. My only complain would be that we found a half drank complimentary water bottle in the room. Maybe the cleaning staff just forgot to remove. Once we told them, they offered to bring more water but we were fine. We just wanted to let them know. We would definitely stay here again. :)

It is a very nice hotel with a friendly staff in a convenient location.

Late check out an issue. No view room Have stayed in better down the road before

Great location in a fantastic part of Northern California. Walk to the beach, shopping, dining and aquarium. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our stay.

Great experience in our vacation. The hotel is wonderful, staff friendly and ready to accommodate everybody. The location is excellent. Overall I will be happy to comeback anytime

I am a frequent visitor to Carmel, Pacific Grove and Monterey for over 40 years and I was quite concerned of some of the changes there that might change the charm of this wonderful place. But The Clement was a most calming and accommodating hotel experience I have had there in many a year. Loved it!

Used this hotel for get-away. Good value in off-season, expensive otherwise. If on-site restaurant had an innovative Chef at it's helm, would be world class.

The hotel is right at downtown so very convenient location, though I am not sure if it's worth the extra $$ especially if you will be driving.

Elegant modern oceanfront resort located steps from shopping, restaurants, beach and Monterey Aquarium. Perfect location for a quick weekend escape for singles, couples, families, or groups.
