Stargazer Inn and Suites

It was the best stay I've never had. Parking is spacious, from what I've heard. My room was clean, but that's because it was my room at home. Okay, quit asking me to review this place. You know I cancelled the reservation and Orbitz would not grant a refund. So the last thing you want me to do is give an opinion on how my stay was. The Stargazer Inn got free money from me. Leave it at that, enjoy the free money, but don't add insult to the situation by repeatedly asking for my review. This is now the fourth time I've filled out something asking me to rate my nonexistent experience.

Very nice room with a fireplace and large flat screen tv.Comfortable beds, very clean.Close to downtown and the mall.We will be very happy to come and stay here next year. Jaccuzzi was very nice as was the indoor pool.

It was nice...no complaints. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a very nice touch even though it was too warm to lite it.

It is an older hotel but this adds to the charm. We chose the 1 bedroom suite and it was very comfortable. Each of us had our own bedroom and private space. The staff is excellent, all the way around. Whatever we wanted it was supplied quickly. We will definitely come back again. Rating 1 to 10 we give it a 12.

Room was clean. Not very quiet though. You could hear a lot of things going on outside. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was cold

This is my 3erd time staying at this Hotel - my kids love the indoor pool. this time My family and I, stay 2 nights. Hotel staff pleasant (Male Latino admen in the office very helpful) and the cleaning ladies always providing towels to us. Cute old hotel, room was clean and comfort - a little Noisy because you can hear everything though the walls and what going on out side the room. BREAKFAST needs to improve! Starting with the coffee! Only begin waffles were good and Please add some boiling eggs or scrambles eggs to your menu . But over all is OK, after all is just to sleep in a short stay. Thanks

Smoking allowed in front of rooms allowed smoke to waft into others rooms Safety latch pivot on door was barely screwed into wall I could have pulled it out by hand

Had three nights where we had electrical shorts and TV and satallite went out. The last night we were there they had to rig up an extension cord across the room to make it work. Would have been nice to have it fixed the first or second time.

We had the king suite. Huge room but didn't use sitting area as sofa was against the wall and did not face tv. We didn't use Murphy bed but would be convenient for family with children.

Very nice stay and close to everything. Very quite and clean.

An old motel that is way overpriced for what it offers:but a great, warm, indoor pool and hot tub. Staff friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect for a short stay in Monterey. Recommend for a quick trip.

This place is average for a nights stay. Its off the beaten path of where you want to be. You have to drive to get to places like the wharf and Cannery Row. There is a free trolly to the wharf/Cannery Row/Aquarium but again you have to drive to the trolly and park your car. Upon checking in the staff is very nice. The room we had was spacious for 4 people, microwave and in-room coffee maker. I was a little perplexed of the $200/night though. Looking at the building at a walking pace, the paint details on the building were very bad. Over painting and smear marks the room paint looked like two colors of yellow. The bathroom closet door was open on top of doors. It could have been closed off. The pool water tasted of salt and not very clear. The pool ceiling had smears of white paint and looked of mold. Needed more fans to whisk away the smell of chlorine. It stayed in my nose for a long time. Overall it was a $200/nite hotel. Too expensive for a 3 star hotel especially with the comments I have written. Maybe management/owner will see this list and make some changes to the above listed comments. Until then I cannot recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to see our great Monterrey Peninsula

The room was comfortable and roomy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the convenience of the continental breakfast. The location made it easy to get to the Cannery and Aquarium.

Loved the pool time. The continental breakfast was awsome. Great tasting coffee, Staff very helpful. Very clean rooms. Enjoyable stay always.

I really like this hotel, had everything that we needed for just 1 night, the only inconvenience was the parking lot, to small and no space for our car

beds were comfortable. and pillows. didn't get to check out the pool or jacuzzi but breakfast was pretty solid as well.

The location is very good. The rest is ok. Sometimes it was a little noisy.

Hotel was tucked away & quiet. Hubby was disappointed with lack of his favorite sports channels. Staff was great, room was comfy & breakfast adequate. Yes, I'd stay again.

It was not very clean walls and carpet. A bed was not very comfortable. Location was OK. A Swimming pool was awesome. A small fridge and microwave were very convenient.
