I called before 12pm to confirm that the pool was going to be available and I was lied to. This is unacceptable especially since I brought my kids to this hotel because of the indoor pool. This is bad on the hotel. I was told maintenance was going to start tomorrow (Monday)

Starglazer Inn

The room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows could be better too soft!!! Excellent cleaning staff. Check in was simple and easy on line. Check out was even easier. Inside swimming pool was a winner. Hot spa was very hot and relaxing!!! Over all stay was excellent!!!

It was a great location if you’re willing to walk 15 minutes to fisherman wharf and less than 15 to reach the restaurants in old Monterey. We walked to the restaurants and the wharf and it was very safe to walk around the neighborhood. We came back to the Inn around 7ish so there was still plenty of light out. Wi-fi was good. Direct TV available, air conditioning worked great, not used to the humidity from Monterey so it kept it dry and cool in the room. Overall great experience. Only down side was the bed, it was not comfortable as it was very bouncy from the springs, woke up with a minor backache. Other than that great!

Shower floor very slippery

The stay was good, but the shower head flow was weak, and the shower floor was very slippery. I'm not sure why it was so slippery; even after my husband took a shower, it was still slippery. That was a major concern since we are seniors in our 70s! The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well.

Close to town but not in a walkable area. Balcony was scary and overlooks a depressing scene but it was a nice surprise that you could get a peek at the ocean. Disappointed in the staff who gave a key to our room to another surprised family. The computer was blamed but I've never seen a computer accidentally check a hotel guest out. So fortunate that the guests who were given access to our room didn’t go through our belongings. Felt the hotel staff didn’t take the error very seriously.
