Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa

The hotel was very nice and comfortable although the only odd part was the shower door didn’t cover the whole shower. Other than that we had an awesome experience.

Was placed in a room that had beds made, towels hung but clearly not cleaned. Needed vacuuming, a towel actually had what looked like dried bloody mucous on it and the room had dust on shelving. We we placed in a new room which was better but already disgusted by the first experience. Hotel staff, however were very accommodating and pleasant.

Your hotel is so nice! But you do not have enough staff in the restaurants! Service was very slow.

The hotel is near highway 1, and the traffic was a bit loud. There is not enough wait staff at brunch. Otherwise the rooms were comfortable and clean.

The resort is dated. Our room was clean but workout room dark and dirty. Might be ok for families. Wouldn’t return.

Overall experience at Hyatt was nice, but there were lots of noise in the hallway at night, door sweep is needed to block off noises coming through.

Heat didn’t work in our room for two nights and the elevator is so small and only has one for 4 buildings. Terrible !!

this hotel was very nice check in and check out was easy the velvet was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean my bed how ever was not very comfortable and the pillows need an up grade especially paying $200.00 a night . We stayed on the bottom floor and had to call the front desk because people were running down the hall on the upper floor

We stayed four days and each day was outstanding. We used the pool, fitness center, business center and coffee bar--all were outstanding. At night, we felt very comfortable walking around the parking lot etc. Plenty of staff to monitor it all. Well done.

This hotel is great if the only thing you care about is golf and you plan on just sleeping. The bathrooms have no fans...... SUPER weird!!!! Everytime you use the restroom the hotel room smells for hours. There is no ventilation. THE SHOWER HAS NO DOOR.......... Not like a super high end sleek shower with no door..... Like the other half of the glass part of the shower with the door came off and nobody fixed it....... We took 3 showers during our stay and the bathroom floor was soaking wet upon coming out. Not to mention it was really difficult to take a shower with no wall and not get the bathroom soaked. The removable shower head was broken and would only stay up (above your head) if it was aimed at the wall...... Obviously the wall away from the wall that wasn't there. The bathroom door is a sliding farm style door and it would just randomly close all on it's own which was annoying and slightly creepy.

We try to set facial and massage with spa, after calling them there is only voice mail available so I left message that we interesting in spa services, waiting for one hour try call again same left message. Then we decide go there and see if we can talk directly to them. When we got there it was 3:30pm and door was closed, no body we can see there and they saying that they closed by 7pm. We stop by receptionist and ask them about spa, first they were saying that they really busy that why they not answer the phone but when I told them that door there closed, they were saying that sometimes they not let them know that they will close yearly. So we didn’t get any calls back all time we stay, I think they were so busy call us back. Very disappointed

I would rate this hotel at a 3.5 stars, not 4 stars. The rooms don't feel like 4 star rooms. They are clean, which is always good, but everything else about the room is basic. No super comfy mattress and no nice decorative appointments. Just basic. Which is fine, as long as that's what you're expecting. The lobby is nice and had a night of karaoke, which was pretty cool.

Hotel was on the golf course and close vicinity to every where we wanted to go in Monterey!

Clean, big room, worn out mattress, people slam hotel room doors, super loud. Should get doors close with less noise. Charge resort fee $25 per day.

Enjoyed the area drove to Big Sur and Carmel. Didn’t want to leave! Beautiful area.

Only stayed one night ,but would come back and spend more time.

Great hotel and we like the pool view.,. Lots of parking

Strange water hammer when toilet flushed, lasted a long time, worried about flood for awhile Otherwise very pleasant

Location is in depressed area near County Fair. Over priced fo an inland hotel with tired furniture and facilities. No central air on a 100 degree week. Portable air unit was difficult to control and very loud.

We always stay here and everything was fine till they changed our shower head. The guy that did it didn't clean the bath mat after, so when my wife took a shower, all the grime from his shoes turned black from the water. Oh well, mistakes happen, but you would think he would know better.
