The property needs paint and attention on the outside. But the room was fine. They have a wedding every day over the weekend - sometimes even 2 on same day - so that was inconvenient. Then after the weddings the "Party" Room is available to be booked out - and it was ... DJ bumping loud music until past 10pm. The hotel is not cheap and to have to listen to the party until 11/1130 was rediculous.

The views are amazing and it was awesome being able to walk along the beach to Old Fisherman's Wharf. We hung out in the lobby/bar area at night. Good drinks and the nachos were my favorite. The rooms were a little dark. The beds were very uncomfortable. Overall, the place was clean. I don't recommend going to the onsite restaurant. The calamari tasted like it came out of the freezer, not fresh at all. The bread rolls were warm but turned hard within a few minutes. I think they were heated up from days old bread or frozen. Much better dining options offsite.

In general, I really liked the hotel, I would recommend it highly. Pros Amazing view Can't get any closer to the beach. You can buy a fire pit package to do a bonfire on the beach The pool is heated The hot tub is very hot and relaxing The staff is ultra-friendly The main lobby has an awesome view. The breakfast was very good On the top of the main beach stairs, there's a quick shower to wash off the sand The restaurant area on the top floor is nice with a nice view Very nice parking area Good check in and out service Hair dry was very good Cons Our room was under the lobby, you can hear every chair movement. If you were curious they clean it at midnight because we could hear the broom. Not all of the lights on the elevator work so it's hard as a user because you're not receiving feedback. For example, the main button to call the elevator on the first floor doesn't light up. Some lights in the elevator also don't work. The breakfast is not free You need to pay but it's very good The pool closes at 8:00, feels a bit early maybe just because of Covid? Next to our door was a vent on the floor that opened to the outside. It seemed that the latch was broken and we would find it open all the time making the room extremely cold. The show did not have a door to close it making a big mess after each shower The bathroom was very small, it was extremely hard to get in and out due to how close the toilet was to the door.

All of the staff were so kind and sweet! We were traveling with kids, which can be difficult and they accommodated us with a bit of an early check in. We were able to reserve a s’mores kit, but just know it’s only enough for 8 s’mores. Bring more if you want to be able to make more, but it was great for the firewood. Any time we called and had a need they were quick to answer and help out. They also have a heated pool that we all loved. Overall, great experience

Very disappointed, the photos were so misleading. The room was so cramped inside and had a motel feel to it. The only thing that saved this trip was having the ocean view.

Liked Bay window in room and proximity to the beach. Doors were hard to close and open (restroom and exterior room door) like they were painted too many times. Food quality of in house restaurant was great. Staff were friendly. Would stay again.

Interior spaces were nice. Room was very dark. Outside of hotel needs a major facelift.

Rooms a little outdated.. flooring and carpet worn and could be replaced..no fartfan in bathroom made very muggy taking a shower... no window so had to leave the door open for fresh air.

The view was amazing

We liked the ocean view but the room was very dark and it was small. No microwave or breakfast. Was older hotel and water took forever to get hot . Shortage of towels. Very over-priced. Bed was comfortable .

Check in was easy but our room looked and felt like a motel room.

Awesome views

This is the only hotel with a beach in Monterey

Once we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room there was open beer can in our room, after switching room the next day we were locked out of our room for almost a hour.

The room wasn't what was expected. Ocean views have no private balconies. You see ppl walking passed your room. And im not confident that rooms are cleaned properly. Considering how they do nothing to hide the graffiti surrounding the building. And for what they charge for the rooms. You'd think they'd go out of their way to try and cover it up. Overall the hotel is not worth it

All of the staff were so kind and sweet! We were traveling with kids, which can be difficult and they accommodated us with a bit of an early check in. We were able to reserve a s’mores kit, but just know it’s only enough for 8 s’mores. Bring more if you want to be able to make more, but it was great for the firewood. Any time we called and had a need they were quick to answer and help out. They also have a heated pool that we all loved. Overall, great experience
