Absolutely love this hotel! Took our toddlers to the beach for the weekend and had the best stay. Super clean, beautiful hotel with kind staff. Walking distance from everything. Will definitely be staying again!

Enjoyable stay, though some amenities were missing like shower cap and cotton buds

We got in early, And as expected there was no room ready. that wasn't a big deal. we were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we went and walked around the harbour. The girl at the front desk said she would put a rush on our room and it would be ready an hour or two, when we got back to the hotel four fours later our room still wasn't ready. they had it ready 20 minutes later. Not sure what they mean but put a rush on a room meansd to them, but when you tell a customer you will have a room ready in two hours, it needs to be done by then. Also the hot tub was hit or miss as to when it would work or not. that was a big bummer after walking around all day

NIce, modern property in the downtown of Monterey. Parking is Valet only, so plan ahead when checking out. I thought it was pretty noisy, especially because my room was above the pool.

Everything was great! Room was super clean and well stocked. Front desk staff was so nice and helpful.

The staff was helpful and friendly. And everything was orderly and wonderful. The only issue was the pool was out of service and we didn’t know that ahead of time. I wish we had known. Other than that, our state was excellent!

As an active family with energetic kids and two dogs, it is essential for us to feel welcomed, and the staff was excellent in those aspects. I'll gladly come back again!

Everything was great except one thing. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. Could not wash the hair on my head because I could not get the shampoo and conditioner rinsed out. The amount of water coming out of the shower head was so slight the three times our family tried to shower that we just skipped showering to avoid getting cold and dealing with the hassle.

It is not up to Mariott brand name and do not spend money on it. We can find better for much cheaper price. It was very disappointing for my decision to stay overnight just away from home which is 1 hr drive.

We were in a unit with a connecting door. Could hear the people talking and they were at a normal voice levels. Also smelled marijuana when they smoked.

Beautiful, clean hotel with newly renovated rooms. Perfectly located within walking distance of Cannery Row. All of the staff were so welcoming and were happy to answer all of my questions about the area. I’ll definitely come back to the Marriott Monterey!

The front desk was very accommodating to my request and went the extra mile.

Starting with front desk - amazing customer service, smooth check in Parking - valet $25 Location - walkable distance, downtown area Rooms - nice, big and clean, remodeled Due to pandemic no pool, no gym, no restaurant ☹️ besides that, will recommend and will come back soon!

Hotel looked way better in pix. we were looking for an ocean view room as we saw in the pix, but was non available . Room wasn’t worth the price we paid for..

It was an ok property. Not great not bad. I guess I’m not used to the cost of the Northern California rooms.

It’s located in the perfect area if you have kids. Right off Fisherman’s Wharf and near Cannery Row, you can walk just about anywhere. Lots of restaurants in walking distance also. There were 2 things that could be improved - the hot tub was a bit icky, we felt slimy when we got out. Also our room was right across from the gym entrance. Wish we were told how LOUD the doors and everything are right around us. I’m a light sleeper and could hear everything. I could live with those things though - the area made it worth it.

Beds were not confortable(hard) but good pillows, outdated rooms, no black out curtains, good heated pool, fast room service from restaurant, good location. Hotel parking fee $25 and across the road $5-$10.

Very friendly staff at the reception desk and the waiters in their restaurant. Very helpful to solve any question.
