The room itself was very clean but the construction made our view horrible, plus I had to shut the blinds all day unless I wanted to be exposed to a worker walking right by my window. The location is perfect and I'm sure it will be great when they finish.

Great rooms and very close to everything. The staff are great.

Good construction was loud people were nice good location

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel and neighboring convention center have been undergoing renovations, and the staff seemed to be working hard to compensate for any inconvenience this may cause. My room was very nice, clean and well-appointed.

The hotel is under construction and you can hardly find the entrance to park. Just a bad experience all around.

We spent two great nights there. The hotel was great overall. We were concerned that there was construction going on however we never heard any noise from the site.

We enjoyed our stay. Over all great and comfortable stay.

This is a great hotel. It's very nice because you can walk most any where from it. The rooms are updated and lovely. Once the construction is over it will be a 5 star hotel again! Plus they give you warm fresh made cookies when you check in!!!

We received a very warm welcome and a complimentary upgrade to a room with a large outdoor seating area. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our time relaxing in the room. We ended up booking a second night, last minute, but it was not as nice as the first. The room was next to the town square, and very loud. Additionally, we were woken by the beeping of the smoke alarm that needed batteries. Not a great start to the day. Overall, we had one great night and one night that was average at best and not worth the money.

Wasn't feeling welcome at all during the check-in process, we had a long day drive from LA and it was over 10:00pm...

Nice hotel with large, clean rooms and a helpful, courteous staff. Biggest drawback is the ongoing construction which is expected to last til spring of 2017. Until you got to know the area, it was difficult navigating the streets and finding the entrance to the parking structure. No drive-up to the lobby is currently available, so you need to park in the structure and carry all your luggage through the parking structure and to the lobby to check in. Also, due to the construction, there is continuous noise.

Period stains on bed sheet. No microwave no free wifi no free parking. Small gym, no free spa. Small and shallow pool 31/2 ft

The hotel is beautiful but it does not have air condition and when the sun hit the room became hit and uncomfortable. The staff was excellent and the service was excellent as well. I just wish it had AC.

Great walking-distance location to stay a few days without having to drive anywhere and still have plenty to do. The hotel's staff was very professional and accommodating. Nice size rooms with great views. Absolutely enjoyed the stay!

With the exception of the surrounding construction and the dirt and dust it created, the facility is very nice.

The hotel is beautiful and SO close to the wharf. Room was clean and orderly, but there is still construction going on that is very loud from 7am til late afternoon. As long as you want to be up early and not take a nap though, you're safe. We were a bit disappointed not to be able to use the pool because WAY too many screaming kids out there. It would be nice to have had an adults only time, but what can I say, I understand.

This hotel was conveniently located in Monterey and was within a short walking distance to Old Fisherman's Wharf where there are quite a few great restaurants as well as about a 2 mile distance to the aquarium and other attractions like the Bubba Gump restaurant. The room was very nice and had a balcony, although the balcony we had backed up to the balconies from other rooms, but it was definitely a nice outdoor space. It took a bit of time to wind through the various hallways to get to our room but for us wasn't that big of a deal. This hotel definitely met our expectations and provided a lovely stay while we were in Monterey.

Was very pleased with the location of the hotel. Its conveniently located near downtown and main attractions. Starbucks right across the street as well as multiple restaurants around the pier. Rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Hotel offers both self and valet parking. Will definitely come back on the next visit.

This hotel is definitely over priced. We did valet parking b/c it's only $3 more per day. Stayed on the third floor which required us walking outside through a courtyard to get to our room. To get to the ice machine we again had to walk outside. Not something I wanted to do in the middle of the night. We didn't get maid service. When I called guest services to inquire why the asked, 'do you need clean towels?' That's not the point! Isn't maid service included in a 4 star stay?!? Our patio didn't include a view. The bed was super comfy. The room service was delicious & delivered pretty fast. The breakfast buffet at the in-house restaurant Jack's was amazing. I would only stay here again if they lowered their prices significantly. Make sure you ask for a room that you don't have to walk outside to get too.

We loved the loved the location. We were able to walk downtown as well as to Cannery Road. If you don't mind walking to certain locations, we recommend this hotel.
