We had a very nice time. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice. I would recommend Munras Inn to anyone!

This was a nice room. It has been updated recently and was clean. Fun to have a fireplace. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. The bathroom could have been repainted but otherwise was nice. There is a breakfast included that was fine, nothing special but gave us what we needed to get going in the morning. The people above us were very loud, stomping around for hours. Not sure if we heard that due to thin walls or if they were just super noisy people. Overall a nice stay. There is so much to do in the area that you really do not need to be in your hotel room for long anyway!

This hotel is a nice and affordable hotel for a few days. I would stay there again, but I will NEVER eat their breakfast again... found mold on one of their breakfast pastries... they're muffins are well past expired etc etc. good stay for the price. Breakfast was awful.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding that we attended. The location was great for Monterey, but we paid way too much for the quality of the room.

Spent a couple of days in December. Rooms are clean, nice location and close to a big mall. Will come back for sure.

I really liked this hotel and the convenience of where it was located. Definetly would stay again.

Absolutely no compliance. Good place for stay for one night

We were looking for a basic place to stay close to the convention center. This fit the bill for 1/3 the cost of staying where the conference was held, and within walking distance. Nothing special, but a good value.

The staff was nice when we went to check in. I booked the room two weeks in advance through a third party site. We got to check in early. The room was very dark when we entered and it smelled like an old room. We opened the window and aired out the room. The room had your usual toiletries, but we usually bring our own. Breakfast had your usual coffee, pastries, and fruits. No cereal. It was a good hotel for a quick getaway, quite central to attractions. If you don't plan to spend much time in your hotel room, this is a quick choice.

The hotel was in an ok location. $10 cab ride to cannery row. It was just very noisy and didn't have an air conditiiner and it was pretty warm the weekend we were there. Overall I guess it would be what you would expect at a Vagabond, but was so overly priced for what you get.

Nice hotel, unassuming staff. Coffee and light snacks in the morning. Great park accross the street for walking and hiking. Close enough to the beach..about a 15 walk.

The location was ok, the same as tons if other hotels on the same street. I don't know much about exterior amenities since we only stayed one night. But the room had everything we needed to relax. Fridge and microwave for food we brought on our trip. The fireplace was probably my wife's favorite part. All the little amenities that make stays nice. Would definitely recommend especially if its on a deal.

The Staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch. It was in walking distance from downtown Monterey. Cannery Row is a bit further but if you catch the free trolley downtown there is no need to drive around the city. over all it was a nice stay well worth what I paid.

Beds uncomfortable. The continential breakfast was not available at 7am, when we needed it and not even at 8am. Fireplace is awesome, nice feature but the room was not worth 200.00 per night. Always call before arriving to make sure they have what you booked! They gave us two doubles when we paid for two queens. We ended up with a king and a double which the kids weren't happy about.

My boyfriend and I went here to help fix our relationship. we got a little lost but then found it. It is in a great location. Walking distance to downtown. We were looking for a placs to get sure good drinks we went to mucky ducks, wasnt too good. So we went back to our room and turned on the fireplace and cuddled up with a movie. The bed was big and comfy. Our heater didnt work very well so I was a little cold all night. I would turn the fireplace on but it had a timer so I coukdnt leave it.on all night.

The Vagabond Inn aka Munras Lodge is a worn motel well past its prime. Munras Ave has quite a few hotels, but none were available for the weekend we needed in our price range except this one. For families on a budget, I would suggest trying outlying areas and driving the few minutes into Monterey. The rooms were adequate in size, but very very worn. The paint is peeling. The decor is at least 20 years old. The beds were old and lumpy. And there was NO air conditioning. Just an oscillating plug in style fan. To make matters worse, we had a horrible group of people staying next door who were loud, banging on the walls and swearing at the top of their lungs. The few bright spots were the free wifi and the proximity to the Wharf and Cannery Row. It's just a quick 5 minute drive to either location. And the staff at check in were polite and friendly. Overall, not at all a good value.

We all went to Hearst Castle, Cannery Row & Fisherman's Wharf & winerys the next day. We as a couple first trip together was wonderful. Then we had my best friends of 25yrs and their 9yr old daughter make a reservation to join us. It all worked out smoothly for their stay and we all were able to vacation together:) thanks so much!

The hotel operator is extremely rude. The parking is horrible, very limited and the location is very bad, on a busy street. The rooms are subpar. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I would recommend that ORBITZ.COM take this hotel off the list.

i was a bit apprehensive to stay in such an inexpensive hotel but to my great surprise the Vagabond exceeded my expectations. our room was a good size, comfy bed, fireplace, and though it was a bit dated, it was very clean and well maintained. i will be staying there again for sure, what a bargain!

My sister and I stayed at the Vagabond one night for a quick beach trip. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised - the beds were comfortable, room and bathroom was large, and there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room to store our ice chest stuff. Vagabond also offered a Continental breakfast. There wasn't any fruit that morning, but there were 2 choices for cereal, plastic covered pastry and bread choices along with the coffee and juices. I had plenty to eat with just cereal and toast. This added to the values of the motel by allowing me to avoid a breakfast cost. I would stay there again.
