I have stayed here a few times now! The price is excellent for what you do get! I have noticed that the floors are not always swept/mopped. If you walk barefoot little dirt particles get on your feet. I will continue to stay here but that's just one thing I noticed. Also, they are pet friendly! Only $35 per dog! Dante at the front desk is a really nice guy too!!

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at any hotel! I arrived 20 minutes early, 2:40 PM PST, for check-in. The clerk/manager informed me that the room wasn't ready until the standard 3:00 PM PST check-in time. That was an sufficient explanation. I went back to the office at 3:00 PM PST and the clerk/manager informed me it would be another 20 minutes before my room would be available. That was unacceptable! I had already waited 20 minutes. The clerk/manager was flippant and told me that I could get a refund. That was an unacceptable response! At this given hotel there are two identical rooms that have in-room spa tubs (Room Nos. 38 and 39). When I arrived at 2:40 PM PST the clerk/manager arbitrarily assigned me Room 39. When I went back to the office at 3:00 PM PST, there was another customer in the lobby. After waiting for that customer to check-in, I was informed that my assigned room (Room No. 39) was going to take an additional 20 minutes to get ready. As it turns out, the customer who arrived at 3:00 PM PST for check-in was assigned Room 38 (which was ready)! The identical and twin of Room 39! The clerk/manager should've assigned Room 38 to myself and instructed the customer who arrived 20 minutes after I arrived to wait 20 minutes for Room 39! That would've been the right thing to do! I'll take my future business elsewhere and never consider this place again!

The jacuzzi in our room was wonderful, and the room was very clean. However, the bed was HORRIBLE. Every time you move or roll over, the boxspring made a loud squeak. The mattress was super comfortable, but the boxspring needs to be replaced.

The floor planks were damaged most likely by water. The flooring was coming up in several places (seams were coming apart). The staff was very nice and easy to ask questions or get assistance.

Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms have recently been renovated and the beds are very comfortable. Great location, close to the aquarium and Highway access to Pacific Grove and Carmel.

Staff was courteous and helpful. We had a large reunion (7 rooms reserved) for 3 days and looked forward to the fire pit area. But the fire pit had difficulty starting (required staff to help start) and eventually died. The heat lamp did not work. Rooms were decent and clean, with obviously many remodels. Some of the rooms had unusually squeaky beds and annoyingly loud mini-fridges. My husband, daughter and I stayed in the 2-bedroom suite which was very spacious and helped our family convene. Would have like more hooks in the bathroom.

Family suite is perfect for family traveling with a pet and multiple kids. A full size kitchen was wonderful. Plenty of space to move around and big beds and sofas that can be made into beds too. The bathroom is spacious. Liked it too because it is not carpeted flooring. Parking is not a problem. The location is good. Close to all the beautiful spots in Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed our stay for 5 days.

Had so many issues our first night with doors being broken, hinge's falling off, broken tv remote, lights flickering, sunken floor, fridge wouldn't get cold, then got another room for the last 2 nights, had racoons in the ceiling of the master room and bathroom, no draft guard under doors so room had freezing cold air sliding through non stop. Master bedroom heater didn't work, master fridge made noises all night like a whiny dog. Front desk told me 2 days in a row that the manager would call, she didn't. Was told on check out, manager approved 20% each for all 3 nights, said to call hotels.com, have them call the property and hotel would verify the refund of 20% a night for 3 nights. Was promised calls back from Hotels.com, got nothing. got 20% off for the last 2 nights but hotels.com said they couldn't get ahold of the hotel again for the 20% off the first night res and was pretty much told in an email from hotels.com "tough, can't do anything more and to cut your losses" I don't accept that, this hotel doesn't stand by their promises, & hotels.com doesn't either. They will say "we will fix this and make it better, trust me" & they don't. Won't be using hotels.com anymore & will never stay at this property again, which stinks because we're going back to Monterey in December with another family & would've stayed there if they had made this right, but they didn't and Hotels.com let me down as a long time customer. Shame on both of you guys for treating people like this
