The carpet is long past its lifespan. It was filthy, stained and obviously not vacuumed for a significant period of time. I took photos. When I put my shoe on, a cloud of dust came out of the carpet but there was visible dirt on top of the carpet through the place. There was a brown widow spider in the bathtub which the staff took care of and there were no cobwebs, but this property needs to be maintained.

The hotel is nicely located, everything felt like it was a ten minute drive away. Very good and different dining options on the same block that’s within walking distance. Parking is very convenient. The staff made check in easy and very very helping in provide any needed info of the area. The room was very cozy and the shower and bathroom were nice. The bed was comfy and the historic aspect of the hotel gave my stay a wonderful feel.

The room we had was nice. There are no mini fridges or microwaves in any of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, this is not a handicap friendly hotel. Unless you can walk down a very steep flight of stairs to check in or if you have someone else who can check in for you, then you will not be able to stay here. The layout of the hotel clerks desk is kind of in a weird place. There is no parking lot available, only limited street parking. The mattress in our room was the most comfortable mattress both my husband and I have EVER slept on! It was just incredible! The hotel advertised as having breakfast, but there was only coffee and granola bars, nothing else during our 3 night stay. The shower was huge but the water pressure was very low-flow. Keep in mind that this is an extremely old historic building. The view from our window was of the other guests window ha ha. For the price I guess it’s not bad considering it’s in a great area and walking distance to tons of restaurants and clubs. If you are checking in on a Tuesday please keep in mind that the entire street in front of the lobby is closed off for a type of street fair, EVERY Tuesday. Also, there is NO air conditioner or heating in any of their rooms. They do provide portable little heaters and fans. It was freezing outside during our stay but our room temperature was absolutely perfect without having to turn on the little heater. Would I stay again? Probably not.

Hotel has seen better days
The hotel has a fantastic location, and the room was incredibly spacious. However, the living room was in a run-down state, and the couch and chairs were disgusting. Floor had several stains, and overall state of the room was poor. The bed was clean, and the bathroom was fine, which we were thankful for, but we were very surprised by the condition of the room.

The bed was loud and uncomfortable. Also, you could hear the water run through the pipes when somebody on the upper level is taking a shower flushing the toilet. The good, it’s in a great location and the room was clean.

Great location and staff but average otherwise.
Great location, cute room with nice bathroom and staff were awesome, BUT the room faced a very well lit concrete courtyard which had no air flow, there was no individual thermostat, and window shade did little to keep the light out. The bed was comfortable enough and they had a floor fan for us to use. So, it was basically a middle of the road stay.

Great Hotel....with a few drawbacks.....very few.
Loved the room. The front desk guy was great. The gal on duty Sat, April 6th (afternoon was not unpleasant) I actually did not speak to her. Kinda felt I was invisible...she was preoccupied. I was coming in from running a errand and I needed to use the restroom near the front desk and didn't want her to think I was not a guest at the hotel...and stood there waiting for her to acknowledge my presence and didn't say anything because I didn't want to interrupt her. My point being just felt she really could care less who I was or what I doing there. Loved the hotel.... but...the parking thing is kinda a bit much...considering I had to get up by 8:30 the next day to buy another parking permit for the public parking area. I do realize you hade valet parking...and at $30...thought I would pass ...$8.00 more reasonable. Love the hoteel...hated the parking.
