We were given a unit in the derby tower which is very dated and in need of remodeling. The carpeting was torn in a few places, the bed sheet didn’t fit the bed, no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the door to the bathroom didn’t close properly. The view was of a wall and we received a flyer that there would be noise from the remodeling on the upper floors. We like the front tower and would have preferred to stay in it. Wish we were informed of all of this when I made the reservation but you use customer service outside of the USA so I guess this is standard practice?

It was confusing trying to find the lobby to check in. The parking was also confusing. We finally found the right level, but at the far end not close to the Jockey Club. The room itself was great. The light switches made no sense. No wall switch to turn lights on in the bedrooms. Several light switches in the kitchen that didn't turn anything on.

We got a 1bdrm suite so our adult son could have Shia own space from our snoring. Liked the separate bdrm. Kitchen facilities were nice to have. Sufficient amt of space. Dated but comfortable and could get a glimpse of Bellagio fountains from our room.

Overall, the room is big enough for 2 people, the appliances/thermostat work, and the location is superb. On this unit's downsides, it had dirty carpet (our feet were very dirty after taking a shower and walking into the living room) and a temperamental shower where I couldn't figure out the hot water.

Room was clean but the property is poorly maintained. We've been staying here for years but the maintenance has drastically declined. The room had missing door latches, distorted mirror peeling, main mirror above dining room table metal frame peeling. Livingroom sofa & chair replaced with mismatched cushions and arm covers. Room decor in major need of updating. However, the location, free parking and no resort fee remains stellar. I took pictures of the poor room maintenance if you'd like to see them, email me.

Property is old and rooms haven't been updated in decades. Recommendation for the property to remove the carpets and replace with hard flooring - - you should never walk barefoot on hotel room carpets, but especially NOT at this property!!! Also, I may have missed it, but, if not, the property description should inform guests before they book that they will have light housekeeping duties of removing the bed linens and taking out the garbage. Aside from that, once you get familiar with the Jockey/Cosmo maze, the property is very conveniently located with parking included, so there's that. And suite sizes are large. This is a good budget option if that's what you're looking for. I'm ambivalent about staying here again...

Beats staying in a Casino

I have stayed at the Jockey Club for years for business. It is located on the grounds of the Cosmopolitan and right next door to the Bellagio so the location is very convenient. What I love about it is that I don't actually have to go into a casino if I choose not to. I don't have to walk a mile to find the room. I can make coffee in the room without getting dressed and going downstairs and paying $$$ for a coffee, and I can bring my left overs home with me. There is even a small market right in the lobby with essentials! The rooms are small apartment style with a kitchen and living room, some with one bedroom, some with two. It is not glamorous. It is in serious need of updates but it is clean and makes life so much easier than staying in a casino!
