Front desk

I like that this property is about a block away from the strip. This property has come a long way to fixing it up. Parking gets pretty congested here at this property. Overall we enjoyed staying here.

They only had 1 elevator for the whole place. The walks to the rooms were far. Kinda hard for me with my age and medical conditions

Staff rude, but hotel has been renovated. Room clean, nice and cool temperature.

Was burdened with having to switch rooms 3 times due to air conditioning units coming out of the wall and squealing a high-pitched noise. The one in the third room was in working order but then literally right next to the stairway and ice machine as a thank you. Sink in last room was totally clogged, but I had reached the maximum number of rooms the “system would allow” me to be switched. I should have asked for a refund because I didn’t get what I paid for. Much nicer hotels were available in the same price range those days. Front desk appeared not to really care about satisfaction of stay, only getting the customer out of their face. This stay was a shame because I have had several great stays in the past and enjoy gaming and dining at the casino. There’s no way I’ll be back after this.

The Front Yard is an amazing addition to Ellis Island from when I stayed/played there in 2018. It rivals many Strip Casinos as far as amenities!

We loved the cleanliness of our room and the casino and eateries next door. Great food for great prices!

No hot tub due to social distance, pool temp was to cold to use, resort fee ok however what did that cover since you can't use the pool or hot tub? Maybe the towels if you sit outside. Staff at front desk always helpful from check in, getting boarding passes to check out. They moved us from one room to another and still waiting for resort fee refund. I would stay again as fits the budget and close to the strip.

I like the fresh brewed Root Beer and the barbecue restaurant. I did not like the "Resort Fee". I know most hotels in Las Vegas charge something like this but I would ask what is the "Resort Fee" services? Charge for the room as most hotels in the world. Be honest about it. My computer charger was fried by a power surge upon checking in and nothing was done about that. The wifi was knocked out because of that and not restored by the next morning. I was working on the strip and I got another room over there. I was still charged for the 2nd day of my stay. I was not refunded the "resort fee" that is paid to have among other things access to wifi.

We love this hotel and will stay there every time we go to Vegas!

It was nice having the option of a casino/cafe within walking distance!

Often a good rule of thumb is that you get what you pay for. At Ellis Island you get a lot more than what you pay for. I ended up eating their restaurant 2 times during my 4 day trip to Las Vegas, because their food is better than average, and about 1/2 the price of other similar restaurants. In fact, in the middle of the night, the only other place I would go to eat would be Peppermill. Ellis Island brewery beers are complimentary while you play the slots. Otherwise, you can purchase a large beer (I think it was 20oz) for $2.50. Their Octoberfest is better than average, and I would consider it a beer that I would buy at any bar or grocery store during the fall months. I had not bee to E.I. for over ten years, but I remembered the beers were high quality, thoughtful recipes brewed by their brewmaster. It is still true. I prefer E.I. beers over Gordon Biersch or Hoffbrau, although those are very good breweries too and I don't mean anything negative about them. The amenities have been significantly upgraded. There was a good attempt to update the rooms, and the room prices have not increased. I think I will always spend at least 2 nights of every trip to Las Vegas relaxing at E.I. The 7-11 store right next door is super convenient for stocking up snacks and drinks for your room or filling up your to-go cup for the ten minute walk to the nearest casino where you might have to pay $6 for one beer.

The atmosphere and the staff we're friendly/helpful.

The rooms are in excellent conditions and the bed are wonderful. The pillows could be better but seems like most hotels have those small non fluffy pillows

Scottie had superb customer service. The hotel was clean. No complaints.
