The Whitehall Houston

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Only stayed 1 night. Friendly staff, comfortable bed.

Hotel is ok, however it's everything else than "boutique" as they claim to be. Got a room facing the interstate while most of the rooms were empty. Very thin bedding with some "spots". Silver and Glassware placed in the hallway by guests in the evening was still there in the morning. Overall Service could be improved. No additional amenities at all provided by the Hotel, although it's listed as "VIP hotel".

Nice location.... Good rooms although a bit tiny....not good breakfast specially if you are vegetarian

This most recent stay at The Whitehall was unfortunate. Rewind to a few months prior, we stayed one night and the hotel lived up to my expectations. No complaints at all. Great price, great room, excellent customer service. Which was why i decided on this hotel again. This time I booked an Executive Double bed room. “These ultra-spacious downtown Houston accommodations feature one king or two full beds, plus an additional sitting area with a comfy chair and ottoman. Lighted vanity mirrors” There was NOTHING spacious about this room. No additional sitting area with comfy chair and where was my ottoman??? I finally called down to confirm the room type and she said I was in the Execitive double. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the room which followed by compete silence. I was annoyed and very disappointed and made sure she understood that. No “my apologies” no nothing. It being a friends birthday I swept it to the side and enjoyed our night out. Room 1230 is not spacious if someone is ironing and they have to pick up the boared for you to pass by and it had no additional sitting area with ottoman. Woke up to a bill for $70 or so (valet two cars and a drink) but showed it was credited by the hotel. I figured well that was nice of them. WRONG they charged me, no problem paying my bill but to go back and charge my card after checking out....... SMH.

This is the second time that I stayed at the hotel. The hotel is well maintained, clean and spacious, with all necessary amenities.

Everything was perfect. I highly recommend dinner at the hotel and the bartender also does an excellent job.

Nice hotel, but wrong one for our family. We selected this hotel for a family vacation. Although the hotel is nice, we did not get a welcoming feeling. Hotel staff was lacking at front desk and concierge was not available. A museum district hotel would have been best.

the service is profect. and environment is also good.

I had a meeting at The Chevron building one block away so I booked the Whitehall. It's a !970's era 12 story in the Shadow of 21st century 30 story buildings. Newly refurbished, it's a better than adequate place to stay The rooms, though small by today's standards are nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent!

It was ok for couples with small children. Wish it had bigger beds for couples to share as it was very cramped.

Most of the staff was great. Great location, nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, very clean rooms. We bought breakfast tickets ahead of time and had a HORRIBE experience at their restaurant. Restaurant staff was were not familiar with the menu, were not able to take our order, we waited for food for about 45 minutes and ended up leaving to our appointment on an empty stomach.

Wonderful comfortable stay, only negative is no microwave.
