I have always been a big fan of the Choice Hotels group but I am terribly disappointed of this one. I traveled to Fredrick for some family matter and rolled into town around 3:00 am. Tired and sleepy from a long flight from the West Coast. I stopped by a couple of places in the area to check out the rates since they were next to each other and ended up in this property. The guy told me the hotel rate. asked to apply my AAA discount and gave me a rate of $110.00. I was tired and sleepy but not deaf so I took the room. I only had to be there for 3-4 hours that is why I was trying to get the best rate possible. I checked my credit card charges the following day and it was not what I was told. I called the 888# and the agent I spoke to blew me off and I asked for the property #. I called and she made it sound like I was imagining things and blowing smoke, Not to mention that she was being short with me. This incident will not keep me from staying with Choice Hotel properties but just not this one. They were rude and showed no compassion towards customers. I mentioned that I was a rewards member just to let her know that I use Comfort Inn often but her response was that "being a member will not give you discounts" I am not a super big customer but I do travel a lot but use different hotels depending on where I am. It looks like I can start fully migrating to other hotels moving forward. Adios Choice Hotels! .

The biggest problem was that there seemed to be one young woman comprising the entire staff for the latter part of the day, when people are checking in. She wAs very friendly! but overwhelmed with running the desk! answering calls from people in the hotel! and doing maintenance. Our phone in the room didn't work,so she had to leave the desk to bring us another one, which she hastily handed to us at the door. Later when I went to the desk to ask to make change, I found a sign saying she would be back in five minutes. The door was slightly off kilter and difficult to close completely. And the hair dryer only worked if you continued to hold the on button in the whole time. But the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. The fridge had a small freezer.

Stay here while traveling from Boston to visit Hood College about a 10 minute drive away. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful answering questions about the area. Great shopping complex across the street provided a variety of food options. Would definitely stay here again.

There is really nothing too negative I can say about this hotel. For our $98/night we got a clean, spartan room with a limited but functional, free breakfast. While clean, the room did show slight signs of wear & tear. On a more positive note the location is great--there has to be every fast food & family restaurant you can think of within 10 mins. of the hotel. There's also a mall just a couple miles away. I also need to mention that the staff was friendly & accommodating. Hey! We're talking $98/night! It's clean, fairly comfortable with a free breakfast in a good location.

We have stayed at this Comfort Inn several times in the past few years. What a pleasant surprise this time! It has been completely redone - new bathrooms and furniture, a new breakfast room and lobby, and it is really great. It is also convenient to the interstate and several restaurants.

Hotel is not too far from I-270, is in a secure and quiet neighborhood. Beds and furnishings are of high quality and maintained well. Place was quite quiet despite the fact that it was at capacity the night we stayed. Breakfast had decent offerings; eggs, bacon, sausage and the ever-popular waffles (both traditional and strawberry.) Only detractor was that we were not given a room on the floor we had requested months in advance.

The bed is comfortable. The room is very clean. It is quiet. Local photos for artwork which is a pleasant change from the usual weird abstract art in hotels. We have 2 queen beds and the room is large.

Only stayed one night and left before breakfast, but this is top notch. Room has the feel of hotels for twice the price. Staff was friendly and attentive, hotel was fresh and clean, and the room was comfortable. I just wish all the Comfort Inns were this nice.

Hotel is located close to a variety of restaurants. Check in was fast, nice CLEAN room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast area has a nice size, ample selection of items and kept clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will stay here during another road trip.

Hotel seemed to be newly remodeled. We had a double bed room, very clean and updated. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and helped with everything we needed. Breakfast was great and the seating area was very clean and comfortable. They also have complementary coffee, water, and cookies in the lobby which my kids and I loved! We stayed for a night with my husband who is staying the week for business, and he plans to stay here again when back in town. Very close to the interstate and many different restaurants. We will definitely return!
