Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center

The property location was reasonably convenient, and the staff I interacted with were fine. The overall feel of the property was extremely dated, however - the room also had many instances of cracked and flaking paint, old yet functional electronics, and the shower drain broke when I tried to open it. The breakfast offered did include hot items which was a plus. There were some unique features like a small mini-golf course inside. Could be OK for a short family stay, but seasoned or business travels will likely find it sub-par compared to where you're used to staying.

Hotel was fine breakfast was not so fine. No hot food.

The room we stayed in was a disappointment. It had a stained carpet, torn curtain, dirty bed cover, and the dresser had a broken handle. The room was also too warm and we could not set the air conditioning any lower to make it comfortable. The pool is nice and the staff was fine, but I would not stay there again because of the room.

How can ANY hotel in this day and age not have an elevator..? And no, saying "The ADA doesn't require us to have one..." doesn't make it any better. Other than that, it was a nice enough hotel. Very popular, clean, and the room was nice.

This is an older hotel which could use a little TLC. Things were clean, but worn down...pool was pretty cold!

the hallway smelled like smoke, ac unit made to much noise. Bed felt to used. TV was old. not enough for the cost.

it was very nice hotel staff was nice also

This hotel is great for kids. The indoor golf course, swimming pool, ping pong table & free breakfast makes it a great place.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 to 4 times over the last 20 years. It unlike some others, has maintained its quality. Even the hard to keep up areas like the pool and sauna, were first class.

The Holiday Inn Frederick MD was a good buy for the money based on comparisons of other hotels in the area. Very much liked the pool and balcony effect. Rooms were comfortable and well furnished.

Hotel was difficult to find. You could see it from the highway, but there was no signage on the road to direct you past the mall and back to where the hotel was located at the end of a office complex area. Front desk check in and check out were efficient and quick. Room was a nice size but the bathroom was very small. AC unit was very noisy.
