Room was very small, I mean very small. Mold in shower. No phone in room, for emergencies. NO OVERHEAD SPRINKLER IN ROOM IN CASE OF FIRE! They wanted an early checkin fee of $20 per hour even though my room was available at 1pm. Bed had a metal base which caused loud bangs every time I got into bed and turned during the night. Yes it is the cheapest in the area to stay (under $100 a night). No coffee maker. TV Remote didn’t work properly. Could hear the neighbors talking through the wall as well as their TV (even a a normal volume) $1000 deposit???? at check-in? In case I do any damage?? Pay the extra money not to stay here. I think I’m going to contact the local Fire Marshall about the lack of emergency equipment.

The pictures used to advertise this hotel werecnot the actual property. The pictures used in advertising were a multi floor property. This property is a little MOTEL, single floor, drive up to the door type. We have a licensed and certified emotional support animal with papers and the manager turned us away anyway, causing us to have to reroute our trip and cancel some plans. Even after complaining he would only offer a ‘discounted’ pet fee. There was also a putrid smell in the lobby that smells of old people and cigarettes and death. We would never again be interested in this motel as we generally avoid this type of old, dirty run down places, especially ones with unfriendly management like this one.

The location is fantastic. The price matched what was expected. The staff was friendly and responsive. The sink drained slowly and there was a drip from shower. Overall happy.

Normally love staying hear but the walls are so thin we had to whisper or else we got complaints from the neighbors. We got a complaint before curfew time and we were just doing makeup and talking. Staff lectured me in the morning about having an extra person in my room and that they had to refund the room next to me because it was “ my fault “ that the other tenants didn’t sleep through the night. We had no music playing, just me and my friends talking and apparently it was “ too loud”.

I want to visit again. Nice location. Low key for most part

It was quiet and located right across from the ocean. The village is walking distance too! It was clean and I didn’t have any issues while I stayed there . They have cable and a fridge . I just wish they had a coffee maker with complimentary packets . It would have made my mornings a little easier!

Broken vendor equipment, no coffee maker in the rooms, shower drain stench causing room change. But upgraded to better room.

Motel was simple, clean, and a quick walk to the town of Carlsbad and the beach. Staff was efficient. However, fellow were obnoxious at late hours but a quick call to the front desk put a stop to that.

The hotel was average. The room was clean. The wall however was very thin and we can hear the people in the next room moving around.

The experience was horrible. To start, the employee gave my room to another guest. I waited 10 minutes for a room and shortly after entering our room, the floor was dirty with stains and there was a roach on the bed. I did not think there would be more. On the second night when we got in the room, there were roaches scattered all over the floor. When I went to complain at the front desk, all he offered was to spray the roaches and provide roach traps. He declined us a refund or switch us room. The place is very unsanitary and the staff don’t acknowledge customers concerns. Don’t waste your time and money on this motel, it’s not worth it.

If the hotel is not reponsible for the vending machine then it should not be on the property.

It is an older, old fashioned hotel right on Carlsbad Blvd. that has new owners and has been remodeled. It is a 5 min walk to the beach and less than 10 min. to the heart of Carlsbad shopping & restaurant district. It is not fancy, but my room was clean with fresh paint, new tile and counters, and the bed comfortable. It is a good value.

Pictures were deceiving on how big the rooms were, thought that there was a couch but no. Rooms are newly renovated, clean but extreamly small. The beds were uncomfortably stiff and so high you really couldn't sit on the edge and tie your shoes.
