This property is in a great location. We were in the local area for something specific but it was also convenient for driving into the city. The breakfast is very good and the staff was great, especially Ramona in the Starbucks cafe.

The hotel was convenient to Tufts and had many inexpensive restaurants within a short walk. The location wouldn’t be great for the purpose of touring Boston if you plan to use the public transportation. My room was a bit worn and the decorative throw pillows, wall paper in the bathroom and carpet had numerous stains. The exercise room (which consisted of 2 treadmills, an elliptical, a recumbent bike, and some free weights) only had wipes used to wipe down equipment 1 of the 5 days I used the room. The hotel mistakenly charged me for parking even though I didn’t have a car (and told them so when I checked in) so I am glad I checked the emailed statement before I checked out. Some of the staff was super nice, specifically the woman who works the breakfast on weekdays and the morning shuttle driver.

Boutique atmosphere with large chain amenities. Good food. Easy/plentiful parking.

The staff at the hotel were all fantastic. Very friendly and helpful, overall just very kind people. The only complaint we had was the room cleaning service. The first day they came to the room and stood at the door while I had to bring the dirty towels and trash to them, no vacuuming was done and the beds were not touched (obviously since they would not even come in the room). We did offer to leave the room so she would feel more comfortable coming in and cleaning, however she declined. The second day they did come and clean the room, it was just very late in the day. Aside from that, everything else was great!

Great room service, staff, property, rooms, breakfast and shuttle service.

We liked the breakfast because there were a lot of variety, it fresh, warm and delicious. The area was brightly lit and clean. We highly recommend Ramona going out of her way to serving us latte, placing the silver wares on our table, friendly, and welcoming treatment of us. She also quick in taking away our plates and cleaning the table. What we didn’t like is the ice machine. Getting ice there upset my stomach. I have to go the bathroom several times after using the ice from the ice machine. Also, the door going to the basement parking can get a paint update and rust proofing. The building as whole is quite old, we have been in newer Hyatt Place elsewhere.

Everything was really great, including the amenities and the staff.

Overall, the housekerping coyld be improved. The shower curtain in my bathroom was torn. When I mentioned it to the housekeeper she didn't show any concern. The bed linens were dingy and one pillowcae had ink marks on it.

Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was great! Clean rooms, but starting to show age from 5+ years since I last stayed here. Underground parking is nice as is each room being a suite.

Love how close it is to food and the Theatre. Walking is much nicer in the city than driving.

Great room layout with seating area. Comfortable bed and pillows. Would have liked lotion or moisturizer to be included with amenities. Love that there is a refrigerator and would have liked to see a microwave.

Hotel staff seemed inconvenienced to check is in. No greeting, ask of name or rectify reservations. When asked for directions was given a small map, nothing verbal. Clearly the staff needs more training.

The front desk person on 11/16 morning who was scheduling the local shuttle was found enquirung with the driver about why my everyday dropp off at a particular location. Strange behavior at such great properties. Also for heating food they do not provide microwaves in rooms..all guest need to come to their dining area for just one microwave for entire property.

I always stay at the Hyatt Place Medford. It is family friendly, tremendous staff, cleanest rooms, and close to everything.

It should be 2.5 star. The rooms are small and the staff is not efficient. The rooms were not properly cleaned during my 4 day stay.
