resturant not open the times posted on door when there on sunday at 5pm it was closed very dissapointing

Typically I am not one to write a review but the more I thought about my experience the more it irritaited me, then they sent me the link to review so here it goes. We booked the room planning on having options to eat as advertised on the website, there was one breakfast option but nothing open for dinner. The pool was also closed. At first glance the room looked great until we wiped up spilled water off the carpet using a white bathroom towel turning it a disgusting brown color. The propery around the hotel was completely scattered with litter including an old food carton with rotten food in it being used as an ashtray on the post right outside the main entrance. This all reminded of the last time I attempted to stay there, I had travelled to attend a funeral upon arrival the room had an incredibly stong chemical odor, front desk sent a maintenance tech up and the remedy was to spray another chemical to cover the smell only making the problem worse, they would not give us another room and we were forced to drive the 3.5 hours home.

the hotel rooms were nice and fairly clean there was a mystery stain on the comforter. but they were fine overall. we had booked two rooms for saturday night and wanted to extend the reservation to friday night as well for one room. they got us a room and it was $200 extra, fine. then they wouldn’t let us check in without the card holder present even though the room had been paid in full. my mom paid for the room for my sister for saturday night and wanted to check in over the phone. so whatever shechecked her in in person. she was told this was a “highly unusual situation” to book a hotel room for another person? and then i get there saturday and find out they just added a room to the reservation so now we had a reservation for three rooms for saturday night. the front desk attendant was completely unbothered, uninterested and unwilling to accommodate. i asked if we could cancel one of the rooms so we weren’t charged for 3 on the second night and he just said “nope we can’t do that”. without making any eye contact or looking up from his computer at all so i said fine. he was then rude the rest of the checking-in interaction. i swiped my credit card for the hold and we both stand there and i’m like “ ..are we all set?” and he’s says “you have to swipe for each room” with the worst attitude as if i knew that or it was difficult to just tell me that ? anyway will not be returning to this hotel. but it is good proximity to salem

Absolutely horrible conditions! The rooms are discusting and smelled horrible ! Ended our stay early ! The are is sketchy at best .

There was a extra standing bed in the entrance of the room . So it was difficult to walk to the bathroom and door because of the location of this bed .

This hotel is fine if you're staying somewhere for a night by yourself. The room itsself was very clean. However, it's located right on

During this time frame Our Place Restaurant has not updated their hours on their doors, however everything has been updated now. They now close at 3:00pm. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. I understand your mum wanted to check in your sister over the phone, however for security reasons we cannot do this. Whoever's name is on the reservation has to be present unless another person's name is added on to the reservation, we can check in that person with their credit card unless there is approval to use the card on file by the card holder. I apologize for the miscommunication and rude behavior of the front desk agent who checked you in. Take care and happy holidays.
