Arrived at EWR at 11a was not allowed to check in. Told boarding began an hour earlier. Ask if i could go to gate plenty of time. Denied boarding pass. Told to go to another counter, representative ignored me and began to have a personal conversation with baggage rep. Saw me standing there just continued to talk about personal subjects, i was no more than 4 feet away. Wasted now over 20 minutes, I could have gone thru security and to gate in that time. Told I had to pay $99 for another flight. Explained I have been trying to do online check in but kept receiving error message. Pretty obvious my seat was being given to someone else. Last time me or anyone from my company will with Spirit airline.
