It is a great location. Walking distance from the River Walk and downtown Tampa.

The hotel bathroom drain had poor smell about it in the sink. When you got off the elevators or entered the halls walls from your room I always smelled pot. It seemed much like a dorm.

Liked that it was on the river walk. Didn’t like rooms were small, no balcony, mold in the shower, no continental breakfast and the coffee was not good. Only access to the pool was outside the front of the building. 2 1/2 star! Sorry, cause we really liked the location.

Nothing we unique but the rooms are horrible Old , dirty , dusty Not a good hotel at all for anyone to enjoy

Beautiful location and view. Our first room smelled musty and there were stains on the sheets. we asked to be moved to another room and were moved right away. Very fast check in/out.

Staff lied to me about availability and No coffee and room or even on premises. Was not updated and did not feel super clean

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 1-2 years. It has a great location an self, onsite, parking is only $10/day. The sad part is that this hotel has been declining since the first time we stayed there. It is not clean; our feet became black from walking on the carpet in our room. Everything is outdated. The restaurant is closed, which is an inconvenience. They seem to be interested in being a cheap place for UT students to stay. On a good point, the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, this was our last time staying at the Barrymore.

We have stayed here several times over the last two years and have observed the property continually decline in all ways. Your feet get dirty walking on carpet; cleanliness is a problem overall. Everything is outdated. Restaurant is no longer open. This is unfortunate since the location is great (but there other hotels with just as good of a location) and parking is only $10/day. This will be our last time staying here when we come to Tampa.

We found a roach in the shower. Place is old, mattress was too soft.

Pros: reasonable parking pee ($10) per night, quiet at night, check in was fast and easy, close to the river walk, feel safe. Cons: room was a little dirty, needs dusting and cleaning, a woman hair tie was still left on the bathroom hook.

Think the hallways need more uplifting updates. Other then that the stay was nice. Just slept there

Didn’t feel safe regarding the safety precautions. Nothing was enforced- mask and social distancing.

Location is amazing. Proximity to riverwalk is optimal. What is disappointing is the constant smell of cigarette smoke in the halls and the rooms.

It was pretty dated. Not even a "bag" breakfast and NO coffee except the weak packaged kind that comes in room. First room was farthest from the elevator you could get. 2nd room was better but opposite the exercise room. Pretty far from the restaurants at riverwalk.
