Pillows had hair . Ac was blowing straight at you when you’re in bed. yellow water coming out of the shower. Toilet barely flushing. Pictures looked like it was brand new but the popcorn ceiling and walls clearly showed otherwise

It was close to the venue we were going to

It was my wife birthday so we decided to spend it in Tampa. We made our reservation, check in is at 3pm we arrived after 4pm there was no room ready. Less than a minute later he told us there’s one ready, the room was not clean, the bathroom was stink, the Turb was dirty. Even though we had a dinner reservation we checked out without bathing. No one should experience that, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Be aware of this hotel Barrymore, not worth your money.

I love it. Very convenient location. Professional personal

Well, the credit card charge comes up as Howard Johnson, which explains a lot. It was the most expensive HoJo I've ever stayed at. It was clean in the rooms, beds were good. Nice that they had a small pantry for purchasing food items, but it was limited. No close by stores or restaurants ... however, about a mile walk was a GREAT location for food and beverages and hanging out on the river. People were nice and looked like they were trying hard, with questionable equipment (a vacuum that was getting used vigorously but didn't pick up the stuff in the carpet). Overall safe and decent sleep, but would not go back.

Nice hotel. Close to downtown. Right on the Riverwalk.

It was way too expensive for the bang. One bar, limited menu. No wine choice by the glass. The shower design was aweful. One of those that you have to get wet with cold water to turn on the faucet. The sink itself while modern does not have practical easy use.

We where very pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. It was in a great location.

Small tired room. Hair on towels. Dirty qtips on the floor. Shower nozzle in an unreachable spot. Access to pool is only by going outside through the front door. No transportation from airport.

Not bad value

Nice location near the water. Enjoyed the views and even though the hotel was nearly at capacity, the room was quiet.

Overall the Barrymore was a decent place to stay. It had A great location, the staff was always polite and friendly. The room was average. The elevators were quick. The big drawback was hot water. After not having any hot water the first time I tried to take a shower they did send somebody right away who told me I had to let the water run for a really long time because the boiler was in the basement and I was on the 11th floor. It did work that day. The next day I let it run for a solid 10 minutes, with no hot water. I understand that they had been working on the boilers just before we arrived, but things weren’t fixed 3 days later.

We checked into the room to find dirty underwear on the floor by the bed. We had no remote for the tv and called 3 times and they never brought it.

Great location and a beautiful hotel. Very much enjoyed walking the streets of downtown Tampa. Wished there was a nearby coffee shop. Closest one was a 7 min walk. However, the coffee available in the room was good too. I would definitely stay here again.
