Beautiful mountain home

We really enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for our group of 12 including three children under five. The only thing that was a bit discouraging was all of the stairs within and outside the house. Two people in our party had recent knee replacement surgeries. We had no idea there were so many stairs within the house! I would have also liked to have seen empty cabinets to be able to put food in, every single cabinet and drawer was filled with kitchen appliances and utensils was nice to have all those things, but we had nowhere to store the food to cook. The house was very clean, but kind of tired. It definitely needs new paint and carpet within. There were two broken chairs that the owner said he was not aware of.

Splendid house in a beautiful place

This is a lovely split level house with many comfortable rooms and a large superb deck with an excellent view. The house was clean and well provisioned. The neighborhood was quiet and woodsy, including a few types of deer and quite a few different birds. There's good food 20 minutes away as well as many hiking trails. We had a great time!

Great roomy house in a wonderful quiet neighborhood! Great for multiple families or large families.

We absolutely loved this house! It was large enough for 2 families but had a cozy feel to it. We spent most of our time in the living room with the fireplace on. The kitchen had everything you needed to make all our breakfasts and dinners. The kids used the downstairs game room and watched TV and played games. We also spent time out on the lovely deck using the grill and looking out into the gorgeous woods with the view of the mountain. The house was a short distance from the grocery store and the downtown where we spent 2 days shopping at all the great stores. We also went to the school nearby at sundown daily to feed the wild horses and waiting for the elk to come in herds. We also enjoyed skiing at Ski Apache and going to the lookout near ski Apache at night to look at the magical star show in the sky. Thank you for opening up your home to us. Big house! Everything was impecable. Only problem was that we travel with children and the multiple stairs and loft bedrooms were complicated since there is no privacy and kinda dangerous

Lots of space and privacy.

The property was very spacious and each of us had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The views are amazing and the neighborhood is quiet and very nice. We have been staying at some condos on our yearly trip to Ruidoso but the decks were all side by side. We enjoyed the privacy and solitude of the massive deck. The kitchen is enormous and had everything we needed for the meals and snacks we prepared. The only concern I had was that there was no AC in the house. The week we were there turned off pretty cool so it didn't matter but I have been to Ruidoso when this could be a problem. Overall, this property delivered exactly what we were looking for!

Some Pros and Cons

Pros- great location, quiet neighbors, good outdoor space, lots of bathrooms. Cons- two bedrooms are lofts that open to common areas, so no privacy. Carpets desperately need to be cleaned or replace, Too many stairs for older people and children, broken toilet seats, missing blinds, difficult driveway/lack of parking, everything showing age.
