The Space:
This rental is for a 3-bedroom home & the lower-level studio, The Cave, located next door. In the 3-bedroom home, there is 1 king bed & 2 queen beds. There are 2 full bathrooms & a fully equipped kitchen. In the studio, you’ll have a full bath, a tiny-home kitchen, and a king bed.

Lots of construction right in front of home

The inside of the property was exactly as advertised. The outside, however, was not. I received a message the morning we were to check in stating that there was "some" construction" at the property and that if I wanted to cancel they would refund my money. There was no way I could cancel and find another place for 8 people on the same day, as I reserved the place months in advance. When we arrived, the construction was all around the property and driveway and the driveway was mud. I felt it was disingenuous to tell us the day of our arrival, as the construction had clearly been going on for a long time, judging by the many new log cabins that were being built across the driveway. As I said, the inside of the home was as advertised and had all the amenities we needed. We had a comfortable stay. The only other issue was the hot tub. It was cloudy and looked like it had not been cared for in a while; the back deck and furniture were covered with leaves and dirt, adding to the evidence that it had not been taken care of. I contacted the property manager about the construction and hot tub. They had someone over within the hour (Shoutout to Mike!) who drained and refilled the hot tub and cleaned off the back deck. Unfortunately, the water did not heat up until the next morning, so we were not able to enjoy the hot tub. The property manager did refund me 15% of the rental cost not counting fees, taxes, etc. they did try to rectify the issues. Vacations should not be hard.

Cabin close to town

Hard to find a cabin closer to town!! Could use updating in kitchen and bathrooms. The tram to Ober goes right over the hot tub which my 2 year old really enjoyed always talking about the “skyboat”. Pool table and sticks not in great shape which was our only complaint really. The trolley stop according to the trolley map is right behind the cabin but it is down a steep grade of weeds/trees which most won’t want to or be able to trek so you likely will still want to drive to town. This was disappointing but still about as close as it gets! Ayres is very responsive even after hours!

We had a great time while there. There were a couple down falls but we didn’t let that bother us. Games were all mixed up, couldn’t play foosball cause rubber to hold poles were missing. We didn’t know there was going to be a grave yard out the window. Place was spacious and relaxing

Great Location, lots of room

There was plenty of room for our group, the pool table was a big hit with my grand daughter! Everything was clean when we got there and even a bowl of snacks on the counter. Only a couple things I wish were different. I would have liked more than one kitchen towel (I bought some and left there for others) and a dish cloth would be nice (I don't like sponges) and some potholders ( I bought 2 and left for others) Would also be nice for the cabinets to be organized so that all the pots/pans are in one place. We watched a little TV and maybe having instructions in each room on how to use each one would be a good idea. We liked how close it was to the main drag, the teens would walk back to the house when they got tired of hanging with us. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again!

Great Location but..

This place is a perfect location, so close to the downtown area! There were a few issues, the floor in the living room is warped and tripped people up a few times. The kitchen is outdated BUT had all the necessary things to cook. The size is perfect and the extra studio area was a great bonus! We HAD BEARS, lots of them and had to call owners several times because they came during the morning. Overall, I would rent again because it is a perfect location. Hope they continue to improve the property because it is a beautiful plot

Great Place-Bear superhighway

This property was great for me and my family of ten. Very close to downtown .Quiet location. House was clean ,but in need of a little TLC (missing cabinet knobs , gutters needed cleaning out ,touch up paint on walls) Management super nice ,and responsive to a few items we found on arrival.Would suggest posting on when garbage pick up is scheduled.

NEEDS UPDATES

This property is in a perfect quiet location. The propery was clean and well stocked with towels and necessities. There is a definite need for updates to the interior it's stuck in the 60's. We had a huge issue with trash. There was no outdoor secured trash receptacle so we had 11 people staying in both buildings and 4 days of trash stacked outside.
