This property has all admendties you need while traveling and need a break for the night. It is located close to restaurants, even though you are near a large car dealership. Our room was quite and comfortable.
The hotel had a very strong odor in the hallways on the 4th floor that smelled like sewerage or something. My room faced the interstate so it was very noisy and I had a noisy party next to me. The bartender was overworked during the manager happy hour, hard to get a drink. Breakfast was not the best, most Embassy Suites have really good breakfast.
The room (#631) I was assigned was at the end of ta long hallway (the farthest point from the elevators). I have two bad knees and all that walking aggravated them that night. The room next to #631was very noisy (4-5 kids)and there was "stuff" out in the hall next to the room. I called down to the front desk and they told me they were booked for the night but did give me another room on the 5th floor (#531). Again that room as at the farthest point from the elevators. I feel I was slighted and I am going to put a call into the credit card company and lodge a formal complaint also. I should not have to pay over $250 a night for a place that was noisy and dirty
To begin with I changed my reservation from Hampton Inn in Alcoa that cost me 119,000 points to Embassy that cost me 226,000 points an additional 107,000 points for the same weeks stay. What I got was not worth the cost of the additional points. I changed hotels for the available use of the spa which was not available for all the days I was at the hotel (out of service on at least two days). The better breakfast was also the other reason for change of booking. So lets add to the issue of not worth the additional points used. The first four days maid service failed to clean and restock room as expected. Shampoo, conditioner, soap ETC was not replenished and the worst part is two of those days they failed to clean the toilet, feces stuck to the toilet and took the housekeeping crew two days to completely clean toilet which I in fact complained to the front desk. The last three days housekeeping did an excellent job. Also no replacement coffee on several days as well as no coffee cups for coffee. I had to flag down housekeeping in the hall to get replacement, this is absolutely not acceptable and I would expect an adjustment back to Hilton Honors account for some of the points used for the poor service. I am a gold member and have been for many years, I hope this is not an indication of the quality of service I expect and what keeps me using Hilton Hotels versus others available.
My mom and I stayed 2 weeks prior to this particular night at the same hotel. It was so clean, organized, professionally decorated and just perfect on the first trip that there was no question where to book when we decided to go to Knoxville again. We rested comfortably both stays.
I travel often and always try and stay at Hilton hotels. I can not say enough good things about the staff at Embassy in Knoxville. Every staff member that I interacted with, went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was awesome as well.
Great hotel. Rooms are very nice an modern. Makes you feel like a million bucks. Bed was very cozy and relaxing. Room was clean and provided comfort. Nice shampoos and more provided for your convenience.
Stayed there just for a getaway. Had Kingsize room. Room was cramped due to all the furniture in the room. Not enough seating in lobby for managers reception. Breakfast was very disorganized. People waiting in line for omelette had to move for others to get toast or fruit. Definitely needs improvement.
I'm very picky when it comes to picking hotels when we stay places. I do research on locations, reviews and different reports on various things. I'm extremely pleased with this place. Staff was very friendly, love the complimentary breakfast and clean rooms! Very pleased. We will go back if we stay that way again! Highly recommend.
We stayed in the Embassy Suites outside Knoxville so we could be close to Oak Ridge where our daughter and family were staying to attend the Master's National Rowing competition. This property was only about 20 minutes from the racing venue and where the team was staying. We enjoyed our stay very much with the great cooked-to-order breakfasts and evening receptions (including on the weekend)! We also had a good meal at their Flying Spoons restaurant that was very convenient. Their small store had drinks and other items to include ice cream. When we asked, we were given free water bottles by the reception desk personnel. Excellent! Our room was large with a separate bedroom from the sitting area. The sofa was actually a corner unit that was quite comfortable and could be pulled out into a bed. There was a kitchenette with a sink, fridge and microwave available as well as a separate desk. Very nice accommodations for our week-long stay.
