Better than we expected! Perfect for our family of 6, we all got to stay together. The breakfast was better than most continental buffets, as there was something for all of our tastes. The beds were very comfy, even the pullout sofa. We walked almost everywhere, including the big game, which Clemson won! Go Tigers!
Loved this hotel. We were 2 moms with their young adult daughters. Stayed for 3 nights total, pre and post cruise. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Room was beyond expectations and included free breakfast. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating and so helpful. Will definitely stay again.
This property is in a very convenient location if you're flying into Tampa, since it's 10 minutes from the airport. Also, if you're visiting Raymond James Stadium for a football game, you're within walking distance (about 1 mile). We booked a two room and two bathroom suite, which was great for our extended stay. The room was very clean. The room is showing a little wear, but not objectionable. The staff was top notch - everyone we interacted with was great. Over the weekend, the complimentary breakfast disappeared quickly, so rise early. The pantry was bare on one morning, so that was disappointing, even a half hour before the ending time. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
My husband and I, along with our adult daughter and her husband stayed here one evening, prior to a cruise out of Tampa. The two bedroom suite was perfect with a full Kitchen, livingroom, fireplace, dining area, and two bedroom with two bathrooms. The suite was clean.l, and perfect for 4 adults. Room comes with free breakfast. Additionally, from 7-8:30 pm, they offer free beer, wine and desserts each evening. We would return and stay again!
As we experience at virtually all Marriott properties, our stay at this location was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the room was spacious, immaculate, and included a full kitchen. The complimentary breakfast buffet offered a variety of eggs, bacon, sausage, juices, bread items, and cereals. The location was ideal for us--less than 15 minutes by cab to the airport. The lobby had the customary complimentary USA Today as well as a Tampa newspaper. We will definitely stay at this property on our next trip to Tampa.
We had a 2-bedroom/2-bath room on the 6th floor for five nights. The pros: The 2-bedroom room was really spacious, with a warm, inviting color scheme and terrific lighting throughout, especially in the vanity areas. The showers are fantastic! Monday through Wednesday, they offer some evening meal/snack options on site (though not always free – see under “cons”). The fitness center is well-equipped with cardio equipment, free weights, and exercise balls. The staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. There’s a good selection of items at the complimentary breakfast buffet, and I really loved their house coffee. The hotel was centrally located to all the things we wanted to see on this trip (we went everywhere from the beach to downtown), and it’s close to the airport and several big local businesses, so it seems to be a very good choice for businesspeople in particular. It's pet-friendly, too, so you can bring your dog if you need to. The cons: The lobby/breakfast area was almost always freezing, which made breakfast a bit uncomfortable. One of the elevators kept having problems – one day, it took us up to our floor, didn’t open the door, then took us back to the first floor, then back up to our floor and finally opened the door! (We reported this right away, as it was the same elevator that was out of service when we’d first arrived.) There’s a small pool, but it’s next to the parking lot and overlooked by a nearby apartment complex, so it’s not exactly the kind of place I wanted to hang out at. It’s also a bit tricky getting into and out of the parking lot, due to the location. The meal option on Wednesday was a food truck, and it was NOT free – the hotel should make this clear on their brochures/invites. Most importantly, both beds in our room felt lumpy to me, and I never felt I had a truly good night's sleep because of that. Neutral: The hotel is located near some busy streets, so you can hear a bit of traffic noise at night. We expected this, given the location, so it didn't bother us. Overall, we had a good stay, and we’d definitely consider staying here again, but the lumpy beds in particular keep me from giving 5 stars. Hopefully, that can be remedied by the next time we're in the area. :)
This facility was recently remodeled except for the HVAC and windows. The HVAC in our first room was like sleeping with a freight train when it turned on. The second room was better but still way to loud. Noise from the steet side of the hotel is ridiculous since the windows are not soundproof and the hotel sits in one of Tampa's major streets. This could be a great place with a great staff (eveyone of the employees we imteracted with were top shelf). But I would not stay again until the HVAC is replaced and I could be assured a pool side room if the windows are not replace. I do not understand how so many people rate the hotel highly if it is so noisy you can't sleep.
This hotel is as close to perfect as perfect can be. My family and I vacationed here for a week and a half in a 2 bedroom suite (we checked out today) and I honestly can't find a single thing to complain about... Firstly, the location is perfect (close to the airport, downtown and 2 major malls). The staff is also awesome very friendly and eager to assist no matter the time of day they always made you feel welcomed from the front desk clerks to the house keeping staff. Cleanliness wise the room was spotless and the entire property was well maintained including the recreational area... BUT the best part was the recent renovations that wrapped up a few months ago (this was just icing in top of the cake). I should mention that this isn't my first stay here and when I stayed here last FalI I was 6 months pregnant and even then I found few complaints besides the slightly worn furniture, but with the renovations and everything brand new this hotel went for 4/5 to 5/5 stars easily... the only thing I would say is there needs to be more washers there are 3 on the 6th floor to service the higher 3 floors and with a 10 month old I had to was quite a bit, while there wasn't much of a wait there were times people would leave clothing in the washers and you would have a bit of a wait... other than that there really is nothing to complain about... What I can say is the hubby and I both agree that we will be using Residence Inn Tampa Westshore for all our family vacations in the area...
Nice and cleaning friendly staff called front fest at 1am for something they had it at my room in no time great place to stay room had mini kitchen. Breakfast they could have did better can we get some real eggs I'm not stay at motel 6 come do better
I stayed here by accident when I was on business travel in Nov 2015 as my travel back to India was delayed by a day. I needed a quick sleepover not too far from the airport with breakfast thrown in. I have always been a "Residence Inn" man for more than a decade now for the hospitality and no-nonsense service provided. This place fits the bill for a quick stopover not far from the airport. Probably due to its proximity to the airport/commercial area, you would be excused for thinking the place lacks the typical 'home" feel of other Residence Inns, but, then again, no complaints. Keep traveling!
