Hilton Tampa Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Nice hotel, centrally located, amenities are a lil outdated

Hotel near downtown facilities, attractions and TECO train system.

I am a Hilton Honors Member, but never found a place to indicate that and get HHonors credit. Is it possible you can help me?

Great service, friendly staff and clean facilities.

The hotel is as nice as one would expect from a Hilton hotel in a downtown location. But I find it irritating that not only is there no complimentary breakfast (like there is in most of the Hilton family hotels), there is not even a coffee maker in the room or free coffee in the lobby. Paying $20+ for a small pot of coffee via room service is outrageous given that the room costs PLENTY by itself.

for the price i was underwhelmed. lobby is nice. everything else is average. pool area is weak. very old, needs updating.

I stayed at this hotel to attend some downtown holiday parties. I got a suite since I had some guests for pre-party. All was great except you had to pay for wireless. I would have thought I got it for free since I got the suite. I was a HiltonHonors member but I had to book through Hilton to get free internet.

Hotel was nice, but we have stayed in better in that area which offered more for your money then this one. Staff was very friendly, especially the lounge bartenders...The Room was very clean. Everything was fine, just not Extra Fine for the price.

We decided to venture away for Labor Day and thought Tampa area would be great to check out- we arrived at the hotel and it was beyond our expectations of appearance, very nicely decorated, modern and open. We were welcomed with fruit infused water and a warm greeting at the door, friendly staff and the rooms were great. We hung out by the pool which is open till midnight. The bar was open till midnight too and we were able to grab a bite. Drinks are well made. Next day was an Easy drive to the Dali Museum, and the staff gave great recommendations for dining in the area like Boca farm to table restaurant, and Fly Bar with live music and rooftop. Overall a relaxing a great time- we will be back!

This place was absolutely great! Every staff member was wonderful to us and helped us multiple times! FYI: We were staying during the weekend so we got away with parking across the street in the Bank of America parking garage for free (Saturday to Sunday).

Nice hotel, good for downtown business locations. Staff was excellent. Room was nice but not exceptional.

This is always my go to hotel. Its got pretty much everything you need in one place, or within walking distance. The staff are always helpful, and go above and beyond to meet your needs. The beds are super comfortabIe and the rooms are quiet. The executive level breakfast and snacks are great too. The only complaimts I have are the down comforter covers. The dont allow your skin to breathe, and even when I keep the air super low so its freezing in the room, I wake up soaked. The greem blankets they keep in the closet are ok, but the get green stuff from blanket all over the place. The other thing is the pool was FREEZING. Even with the hot temps during the day I couldnt stay in with my son longer than 10 min because it was too cold and uncomfortable. Oh, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work that great. I kept getting disconnected or a limited connection. Other than that this is a great hotel that I highly recommend.

It was just perfect, everything I would expect on a hotel of this category. Bathrooms, bed, staff were great!

The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure (this is essential for me!). The room was clean, and the staff friendly. The two problems I encountered: 1) The room is not well lit--it is too dark even with all of the lamps on during the daylight hours, and 2) The bill was wrong--I was charged for parking when I didn't have a car with me. I fortunately noticed the error and got them to remove the charge. Check your incidentals bill before you leave!

the check in staff we're incredibly kind, the hotel was gorgeous! an excellent hotel for the value. the location in downtown tampa was perfect walking distance to everything we needed. the hotel room was clean and very modern, excellent amenities. I would book this hotel room again in a heartbeak.

If you have a little to spend and want to be comfortable and clean, this hotel was awesome.

My husband and I were going to a concert in Tampa and did not want to drive back to Clearwater afterwards. This hotel was in the perfect location. They had a shuttle service that took us to and from the show for just a few bucks per person. It was a quick stay but for the price, room comfort and friendliness of the staff...we'll definitely be back.

staff is very nice, paid parking is within 2-minutes walking distance, room is clean, however, jacuzzi is relatively small.

This was a quick one night business trip at a normal downtown Hilton. However from the moment we drove up to the front door the many staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the waitstaff at the bar and the restaurant. I need a gluten free menus and the waitress and chef were more than helpful and accommodating. After dinner drinks at the bar were enhanced by the great bartender.

First room we were given smelled stale. I asked to see a different room, even explaining that maybe that room had in a previous life been a smoking room and I was directed to another room on the same floor. Same stale smell. I kept my original room; until I couldn't stand it anymore. Found a different person at the front desk and she gave me keys to a room on a different floor. Viola! I guess the 12th floor is just stale. The bigger issue was I wanted to upgrade to a larger room but because I booked through a third party they couldn't accommodate me. Reminds me of an airline that wouldn't accept my money to upgrade to first class because of the type of ticket I purchased. Not sure I get it; money is money. Funny thing is, I would have received the same rate if I booked directly with the hotel.
