Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore - Airport Area

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This is a very convenient if you have an early flight.

Nice staff, nice place, just a bit pricey. Also, great concierge service.

I have nothing else to say other than EXCELLENT! We arrived early and they were able to get us into our room right away. And they gave me the late check out I requested. Great little restaurant on site was a bonus!

I enjoyed my stay the location was convenient being in the downtown area.

The hotel met my expectations. Was close to Tampa International Mall, Airport, and nightlife scene in South Tampa.

The whole trip was great, you had everything well done. Thank you, thank you, John n Debbie berger

You get what you pay. Recommend this Hotel for short stays.

This is a very nice hotel and location is a plus to downtown.

We went down there for a Packers game. They had a shuttle pickup that took us everywhere. Super nice. Most of the staff was helpfull, a few people that were clearly overworked. We did have a nice time. Would go back.

At no point while making the reservation does the site let you know there's renovations happening and what to expect. It wasn't until we arrived that we saw a sign for the renovations apologizing for the inconvenience. During our first night, they didn't start drilling until 1 in the afternoon so it wasn't a big deal. We had to move rooms though because they were renovating that floor so that was annoying but since we had added on the second night after we got here, it was understandable. The whole reason for adding on a night was so that I could finally catch up on some sleep for the drive home. Too bad that didn't happen since they started drilling at 9 in the morning the next day. When I called the front desk I was told they would be drilling from 9-5 that day and they were sorry no one informed us. And no, no one informed us. Had they done so, I wouldn't have paid $100 to stay another night. It's absolutely ridiculous that I'm paying a hotel to sleep there and they start drilling at 9 in the morning. It's totally unacceptable, and I can't believe they are still charging people a full night's price and not letting them know until they arrive. If you can't just shut down and do renovations, you shouldn't charge the full price, you should let people know ahead of time what to expect, and you could at least wait until 11 or 12 before drilling so that people could maybe finish their night of sleep. This was our favorite hotel in Tampa (prior to it becoming a Holiday Inn), but I doubt we will ever stay here again.

even with the conversion the visit was very pleasant. we brought our dog and they were extremely pet friendly. every employee with a badge greeted us at every turn. the rooms were clean and well put together. a place we would go back.

Hotel room small but very good--staff excellent and available shuttle excellent

Greeted by a great staff member, free M&Ms were good to. Room was clean, office chair was torn but worked. Everything else was great.

The hotel had changed franchises from Wyndham to Quorum, so we drove by it a couple times before I phoned the number I had for the hotel. Since we had a reservation with contact info, a call, test or e-mail regarding the change would have been more professional. The lobby was nice, with the restaurant essentially in the lobby. The restaurant was nice, but the menu was limited. The room was a standard, perhaps bland, hotel room. It was clean and tidy, with my only quibble being the threadworm office chair at the desk area. Overall, an average hotel experience at a bit over an average price. The staff, on the other hand, were very professional and helpful.

Great value for a top end hotel very near the airport with a free airport shuttle. Hotel is slightly dated and should be due for a revamp on the near future. Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and always wore a smile

I had a great stay and received a good deal and adding a car rental. I was in Tampa for 2 nights moving my son back into UT and I have stayed in many hotels in the area over the past 3 years this was the one I will go back to. Friendly staff that is always smiling and willing to help you, clean rooms and a good size and very quiet considering it is on a busy road and close to the airport. Free Chocolate candies and fruit infused water in the lobby (nice touch). The pool and hot tub were wonderful wish I had time to relax more. Loved the Friday night free Ice Cream Social. With free internet & parking this deal was almost too good to be true. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and my stay.

Overall the hotel was very accommodating. Would stay again

I would recommend this to anyone. It was a great location and staff were very helpful, allowing us to check out last day 2 hours late.

Nice Hotel. Clean Comfortable and Very friendly, helpful staff.

Everything was great, staff helpful and polite. If you are looking to stay somewhere between Clearwater Beach and downtown Tampa, this is your hotel. Being close to the airport has no adverse effect. I did not hear a single plane fly over.
