It was quaint and cozy. The bed was vety comfortable. The only things I didn't like were the smell coming from the ac unit and some stains on the towels. Regardless of the minor issues, I will definitely go back again.

I left the hotel because the manager made me feel uncomfortable. he walked me to my room and went in my room with me and asked for a hug when he was in the room with me. So I left the hotel without spending the night because I felt uncomfortable.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Universal Studios, Warner Bros, and Studio City. Free parking, super cozy rooms, and a great staf! Highly recommmend and I will be staying there again!!

This hotel is a gem from the 1930's. The property has been remodeled and updated. Robert, the owner, was on-site during our visit. He gave us a tour of the property along with history about the motel. We were provided with water and snacks upon check-in. There are two sections at this motel. We were given the option of which room to stay in. We chose the newer side of the property only because the bathroom was larger in that room. The motel is set back a bit from the street. We did not experience excessive noise from traffic or other guests. There is no extra charge for parking at the motel.This property is withing walking distance to Universal Studios so you don't need to pay for parking at the theme park (we were provided with a map and verbal instructions). Two blocks away is a shopping center with a grocery store, Rite Aid, Starbucks, nail salon, etc. This motel is reasonably priced for the area. We felt safe walking back to the motel at night after spending all day at USH. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Burbank. Thank you to Robert for making our visit wonderful and providing a clean, safe and friendly place to stay.
How wonderful to find an older, small, updated motel--beautiful rooms, comfy bed, delicious breakfast. The staff was more than helpful with providing map to walk to Universal Studios shuttle--we did not have to fight traffic or pay parking--wow. Then as a courtesy they printed boarding passes for us. We loved our stay at El Royal Gardens.
Tessa at the front desk was amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. Her welcoming demeanor made our stay even better. The rooms are updated and really clean. It is a quick walk to the shuttle area for Universal Studios. We will definitely be staying here again.
