Great view of the coastline and Shoreline villiage. Pool area was festive and relaxing with a great poolside bar and lounge. Highly recommend this place. Fuegos restaraunt in the hotel was splendid.
I love it here!
Beautiful location near the Queen Mary and our Carnival Cruise departure…. Hotel had a convenient shuttle and made our stay that much more!
an island getaway in the middle of a good sized city with an excellent onsite restaurant and 10 minute walk to Aquarium of the Pacific
Friendly staff . Rooms could use a little upgrade . Overall nice stay. Restaurant on site. Kid friendly .
The property was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Air worked fine. With the port nearby we had to drive through congestion and very industrial areas...making the drive to and from the property interesting events to say the least. Otherwise we loved the property and may choose to stay there again!
We had a great time during our stay at Hotel Maya. We had our kids (5 and 3) with us and they loved the pool and beach areas. We got a s’mores kit one night and toasted marshmallows. We rented a cabana for the day one day and loved the service at the pool. We did have a bit of trouble with service and cleaning of our room. They don’t clean the rooms or switch out towels without requesting it, and we requested it twice (with repeated calls throughout the day) and they forgot to come change out our towels and clean the room. With two little kids eating in the room and tracking sand everywhere, it probably got dirtier than most rooms do! They finally admitted they’d dropped the ball and sent someone to our room, but she didn’t finish changing the sheets until after 9 (and our kids bedtime). Other than the cleaning service, we really had a great time and would return. We’d just recommend asking early for cleaning when you might need them.
wife and i love this place. like being at an island resort without getting on a plane! onsite restaurant Fuego has great food and always busy- make reservations!
Very nice resort . Beds and pillows need an upgrade but overall pleasant experience.
Great hotel, staff and restaurant .
We loved our stay at the Hotel Maya. We took a Lyft from LAX, and the hotel provided a shuttle to the cruise dock. We enjoyed several good meals at the onsite restaurant. Excellent hotel.
Property was nice and early access to pool & hot tub. For how much the per room charge is, breakfast and parking were not included. I have been to much more reasonably priced hotels where both of those were included. Hard to believe they are not at this hotel.
The Good : Property was nice. Dining place was excellent. The Bad : However we were given a room which was right next to an ongoing party with loud music. Which was puzzling because there seemed to be vacancy. The FUGLY : The Front desk sweet but mean lady refused to give us the complimentary weeklong parking for our carnival cruise !! Left a very bad taste in my mouth. That included parking was one main reason for booking this place.
VERY difficult to find parking, loud- party atmosphere, beds are not queen size, they are fulls, so much smaller than we were expecting
My room never got cleaned we stayed 5 nights and they didn’t even bring us clean towels! Had to pay parking !
We picked this property because it was close to the Long Beach Cruise Port. But, wasn't worth the high fee that we paid for staying there. The room was spacious. It was facing the parking lot as we didn't pay for water views and that was okay. Expensive Hotel for not much value.
