The property is nice but hard to get to do to construction on the roads. Should be ok to get to when the roads are done. The room is showing some age and needs to be updated. The wall paper in the bathroom is worn and looks old. The cabanas are not on the water and do not float like in the add. If you want a quit place to sleep well they give you a sleep machine to cover up the noise and ear plugs. Good view and good patio the patio chairs look cool but they are not good to sit in and enjoy the view. They have a water taxi and shuttle good to go to local attraction. Water view is of the bay and no beach. Overall nice place but I will look for something more next time for my money.
The walking areas around the property. The outside areas to just sit and enjoy.
Great view but hotel looks old and bed was not comfortable at all. Very expensive for what i got. Very disaapointed but i couldnt cancel because they didnt want to reburse me any money and we 2 kids in the middle of the night i have no choise to stay.
friendly staff (checking in/checking out/shuttle service) many fire pits on property free shuttle service VERY close to downtown and the Pike outlets
Both Orbitz and Hotel Maya did me wrong. I paid over $300 for a room that did not meet my expectations at the very minimum. The actual room looked nothing like it did in the pictures. The hotel is old, smelly, and outdated. Upon noticing that the room was not what I had I booked, I immediately called the front office and the lady that answered started that they actually gave me one of their nicer rooms. Wow. Yeah, never again.
This a nice location but that's it. Thought I'd give it a second shot after the first time. But little things really bug me, like no carpet floors being super super dirty. I swear they mop once a year. They might sweep that's it. If you decided to walk barefoot in room beware you're going to have some filthy dirty feet. Just jump in the shower right after and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's an easy fix, don't know why they don't fix this. I know they are short staffed which sucks. But that's no excuse to half clean a room. I had the same problem previous year. Was hoping it was just my room but I was wrong. Don't think I'll ever come back here.
Staff was friendly and willing to make our stay very pleasant. Our room was very nice, clean, ocean front with a Mayan decor with a modern flare. LOVED the wood floors and no carpet which reduces dust, pollen and odors. Robes and slippers were provided along with a hair dryer and the basic bathroom necessities. We had a lovely evening sitting in our room with the big sliding door opened all the way up, view of the water, the Queen Mary, the lights of downtown Long Beach across the water enjoying our favorite beverage in a comfy seat with our feet up. HIGHLY recommend you take the time to just enjoy the evening view. Comfy bed and pillows provided a good nights sleep. Also offers a pool, beach, restaurant, fire pit, bike rentals and walking path around the water.
Everything was pleasant although disappointed an item left behind in the room was not found.
The room was nice, but the view was spectacular! The restaurant food was good, but the service was perfect. There were weekend events going also but we only shopped in the nearby stores and went to the movies. I'll definitely stay again. Sonya
Fabulous hotel with great amenities! Friendly staff, enjoyed the cookies!
the hotel was given a facelift from an older era..the decor and look are nice..but underneath, it's still that old hotel..beds were uncomfortable, system crashed on saturday night so they wouldn't seat us at the bar, and wouldn't sell anything from the gift shop except for cash...a seat cushion was ripped at the seems...basically, you expect that at a motel, but not a hotel this pricey..very disappointed...
Hmmm I was in line (I'm a bit on the brown side) with a bunch of light skinned blond haired people when the security or driver comes around handing out cookies but when he got to me he stopped and had to ask ME if he could help ME then asked if I was checking in I answered he then proceeded with the rest of the people who he didn't ask anything to(don't go there if your not white it's not a place for you) then I find my room was not ready they asked if I wanted a handicap able room I said no but that didn't matter to them don't know why they asked they gave me a handicap room to which the keys did not work on later in the night some people in an upstairs room began harassing us and taking pictures of my girlfriend n I asked for a different room and they said no so I was stuck in my room for the rest of the night....... feeling overcharged
Stayed for a business trip. Room was very comfortable. View was beautiful. Service was great.
