Highly recommend staying here. Property is well managed and staff is friendly and attentive.
The over all location of the property is excellent, right on the beach, only positive I am able to say about the property. The room I was in was filthy at arrival, the showers looked like they haven't been cleaned between the stays, with blue soap or shampoo clearly evident on walls and floors. The countertops were also filthy, stain mark from mugs and cups, also appeared not to have been cleaned. Overall I understand that the industry is struggling to fill house keeping positions, however, the condition of the suite at arrival was what I would expect to encounter in a 1 star motel, not a property that carries a Don Cesar name.
We have been staying at the beach house suites for 10 years. It has gone through ownership changes and with that, comes different expectations. Rooms are cleaned every three days per pandemic rules, but you constantly have to ask for more towels, washcloths, extra blankets for the sofa bed. They bring them quickly. The light fixtures are very dusty but the overall cleanliness/sanitization is above average. Towels were not always available at the pool. We will definitely have future stays. The shuttle service is the best part of the stay and the employees are all very nice.

We have enjoyed the Beach Suites for many years. This year, the rooms were not clean and nothing seemed “fresh.” I am hoping it is because of the pandemic, but it has really lost its clean factor. Add that housekeeping doesn’t even switch out towels daily - especially washcloths - and it makes it a little less pleasing. No on-site food options besides bagged chips.
Beautiful property, clean, well maintained and extremely friendly staff.
For the price, not worth it. 2 days and left feeling like I was robbed. The pool was mediocre, there was not really a convenient shuttle as advertised- used it once to the main Property, but were ignored for 15 minutes by that sites valet/doormen to get one back.. so we Ubered. For the legacy of the name brand, there were no compensation for the beach being closed- i.e. 'beach house resort' - I know it was red tide and mother nature, however- they still charged prime dollar for no access. And then- well? had to get our own coffee from check in- not left by housekeeping- and then- well we had 30 18 year olds running and screaming the hallways at 2 am 3 am and 450 am and 620 am- No security or the thought of this hotel to watch for other guests sleep or peace and quiet.
The beach houses at the don Cesar are amazing. So much room and great ocean view. Unless you need a fancy lobby, the beach house condos are by far the best choice. You still can go to the don but have a much more accommodating luxurious space. We will be back!
So glad we invested in upper floor with balcony view of gulf plus Two Bathrooms & Kitchen. Two Flat screens.
The suite was larger than I thought it would be from pictures.The balcony was a nice size as well as the bedroom and bathroom. There was even a washer, dryer, 2-burner stove top, and refrigerator. My favorite part was the gorgeous unobstructed ocean view where I watched the sun set each night.
Beach House room available smelled bad. No other room available. I was moved to Don Cesar Hotel which was much better. Beach House staff need retrained. No one seems to care. No help with bags. No concern for substandard room. No suggestions. I had to ask if it was possible to move to hotel.
The room was spacious and had been beautifully designed. Easy walking on the beaches and a very relaxing pool made for an excellent retreat.
I am a St. Pete local and stayed at the Beach House Suites with my boyfriend as a staycation. The rooms are clean, large, and staff couldn't be any nicer. Everything is in walking distance. I will absolutely be back!
