small bathroom, but clean and friendly staff. Great Porch

I stayed for 2 nights in late March. I requested a quiet room and received a dark-ish room in the back of the hotel. The lack of light might bother some people, but coming from NYC, it was blessedly quiet, and I got a great nights' sleep on the comfortable bed with excellent linens. The bathroom was clean, and the breakfast and Saturday wine and cheese were wonderful. The food comes from the gourmet market next door and is of excellent quality. There is a lovely porch where you can have your breakfast or a glass of wine. My only complaint is that the air conditioner was old and didn't function properly. It was not a problem for me, but during the summer it would be uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay. Will definitely be back. Everything is within walking distance. Breakfast every morning was a plus. Noni is the best!

Great little historic hotel in downtown st.pete. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Easy access to highway and other spots of interest. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for a weekend get away.

Older hotel so we had some issues with the water not warming for a few minutes. Otherwise we had a nice stay, bed was comfortable which was most important to me. Walls are paper thin, we could hear our neighbors pretty clearly. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel is old and that is part of its charm. The room was small and could have used an extra table lamp. The A/C was also loud. Breakfast was good. The location is excellent with bars and dining within an easy walk. Late night can be a little unnerving as there are a lot of homeless people camping out overnight. All in all a place I would go back to.

Just a few blocks from downtown. Museums, restaurants, waterfront shopping all within walking distance. Great management-personable and accommodating. Character and a good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a lovely old hotel in a good location for walking to the Dali art show and other downtown attractions. We could not get WiFi on the 3 rd floor in our room so that was a bit frustrating. The air conditioning is loud but still the hotel was interesting and we enjoyed our stay there. Staff was great.

Being on the Register for Historic Places, I went in to the hotel expecting a nostalgic feel. I was delighted, it was very well maintained, clean and every bit as charming as I expected. What a refreshing break from the cookie cutter hotel chains. It did lack the contemporary amenities, but made up for it in charm and nostalgia. We loved it and will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly. Offered complimentary drinks in the evening and a breakfast in the morning. Location is great, as there is a lot to do around St. Pete. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and night life attractions with ease. The stay also included parking in a lot where you can come and go as you please, always a difficult thing to find in St Petersburg.

staff was friendly, but the hotel is real old, and the room old, and did not look like the pictures on the website.

Very elegant feel, clean rooms, good customer service!

Charming cozy little hotel. Very cute. Loads of extras. Happy hour (wine and pretzels) perfect relaxation. Lovely cafe area and front porch complete w. wicker chairs. Continental breakfast - cereal, bagels, juice, coffee/tea. yummy. Very convenient location. 6 minutes to Beach Dr. and downtown St. Petes. Charming choice. Parking lot next door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again. The room was small, but adequate. There was a sofa and desk in the room. Older style hotel, but clean. Huge rack of attraction brochures. Loved first floor location.

Late arrival with most welcoming staff! Next time we're back in St. Pete we will be sure to stay there again.

We arrived late, tired and hungry - the staff was more than happy to answer our questions about the area, dining and provide direction for our early morning appointment - I truly felt welcomed and would make it a point to return!

I travel to St. Petersburg yearly to see the Tampa Bay Rays play. I stay in downtown St. Pete and I walk to and from the ballpark. I checked in at The Pier Hotel and walked up a flight of stairs to my room. The room was very small, dark, musty, dirty, and unlocked. There was an unflushed toilet in the very small and primitive bathroom. The bed was so old it was sagging in the middle. When I opened the blinds to let some light in the room, I was faced with a tenement apartment ten feet away from my window. The paint was also peeling off the walls. Within minutes of my arrival, I checked out. I didn't even want a refund, I just ran to the Marriott Courtyard 2 blocks away.

absoluty enjoyable!!

I booked one room for my visiting friend. The environment is good. Very close to the Pier. My friends like it.

The Pier Hotel is a charming 1920's building, very close to great restaurants by the waterfront. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however the rooms, and especially the bathrooms could use a deep cleaning.
