This hotel is ok. It has a very small beach. The big problem is that if you are vacationing with children this is a good place to go. If you are not - forget it. Impossible to use the pools at all - completely dominated by screaming children. Very noisy if you are any where near the pools. We had to keep all doors closed and could not sit out on the patio at all because of the noise. The informal restaurant is difficult to get a quiet table. Children are also sitting at the bar. The reception area is very lovely. The Landings is a very large complex and you have to call for a golf cart to pick you up to go almost anywhere in the complex and this sometimes means waiting .
Staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Room wonderful, clean and very luxurious.
The hotel was great. Clean rooms and great views. Staff was great too. The restaurant on location was expensive but it was great to have a full kitchen in the room. We meet up with some friends here it is a great place for friends or family to get together.
Stayed one night after a sailing trip. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The hotel was at a great location and had great staff. We went in the rainy season knowing that the north is less rainy than the south and we are so thankful we took that into consideration. It barely rained during our week's stay. It was mostly sunny and always warm. The hotel was a lot quieter and laid back than Sandals. We wanted somewhere to relax and be low key and that was the perfect spot for that. It was a 10 minute walk on the beach to Gros Islet and 5 minutes by car to Rodney Bay. We also used CJ Touring for our taxi services and they were AMAZING. Always on time, great cars and very competitive pricing.
We loved the hotel, we had a two room apartment with beach access. The view was amazing!! The hotel is low key but well run, the staff was friendly and attentive. The pool and beach were amazing. We loved everything. Bring mosqito spray.
My daughter and I were in St Lucia for a tennis tournament . The hotel couldn't have been more perfect. We actually felt like we were on a vacation. The room we stayed in was a one bedroom suite. Including a kitchen and a washer and dryer. That was a big treat for us since we had a lot of dirty tennis clothes! A word of advise. If you go to the islands make sure it's not their raining season. It rained almost every day . As for hotel. It was perfect for us. Staff was very lovely . I certainly would reccomend it.
Great staff, Great beach Reasonable pricing Quiet setting
This place is awesome. It is about 63 Kms from the airport and the travel could take about an hour and half. The drive is scenic and we got a great cab driver that recommended we pick up a local brewed beer while he gave us lots of information about the island. About the resort - we got a ocean facing villa. Impeccable. The reason we chose this resort was for our 4 year old. She just loved being by the ocean, making sand castles, swimming etc.The restaurant is not the greatest in the world but the other amenities more than make up for it. The appliances in the villa are modern and sophisticated and the staff very friendly. Rodney bay has everything that the island has to offer from malls (with duty free shops) to great restaurants. All in all, if we were to visit St Lucia again, our preferred resort would be Landings, unless something else comes up ! Recommend !
This resort was great it had everything we needed and the 2 bedroom villa was just perfect. We had a problem with the plunge pool but they compensated us. We didnt get to enjoy the plunge pool but I guess next time if they decide to give us a complimentary voucher or something the room was great but some reason around the kitchen we had alot of ants which ruined my fruits and some food we had made. Otherwise the place is great I would return.
The landings was a great hotel. The location was great for relaxing and hiking pigeon point. Short ride to rodney bay either by land or water taxi. The hotel itself was phenomenal. Very well landscaped, clean, and quiet. The only problem was some miscommunication with the tour desk. The overall staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach and water was great. Not too crowded and no problem getting chairs/umbrellas. I highly recommend The Landings
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very friendly
We spent a week at theLandings, had a fabulous time. The place is beautiful, luxurious, spacious with a fully appointed kitchen and 3 baths. The service is outstanding. We had breakfast at the Beach Club restaurant and ate dinner there a couple of times. The staff was very courteous, friendly, service was outstanding, food great! Special mention for one of the servers Trisha Phillip...what a sweetheart! She is beautiful inside and out. Went out of her way to make us feel welcome and make our stay extra special. Her service was above and beyond our expectations.... The beach at the resort is very clean, quiet, safe. The security guard was always there, inconspicuously. All in all a fabulous stay.
The two-bedroom apartment we got at the Landings was perfect. It was quite spacious for a family of four with two kids aged 17 and 20. The unit is on the top floor (4th) with a gorgeous ocean view from the back balcony and a nice view of the harbor from the front balcony. The beach is the most beautiful of all the St. Lucia beaches we visited, with white sand and clear blue water. We enjoyed the many pools at the Landings, especially the two pools in front and besides our building. We also enjoyed the breakfast included in our package, especially the sweet papaya and the banana bread. The Landings is a beautifully designed and well-maintained hotel. We will definitely stay there again when we come back to St. Lucia.
Great welcome, no pressures, great service, great timing. Food slightly expensive at the hotel. Family thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
It's hard to go wrong when you are greeted with complimentary rum punches upon your arrival! We had originally booked a 1br/1bth and were upgraded to a 2br/2.5 bath with washer and dryer. The room was gorgeous, very clean and spacious, not to mention how nice it was to have a dining table on the patio in addition to the one inside!! To our surprise the hotel was VERY quiet, not very many kids, which made relaxing on the beautiful strip of beach very easy. Overall, great staff, beautiful hotel and location!! I highly recommend doing the hike on Pigeon Island just a short walk away. Beautiful views and private little beaches.
The rooms were spectacular, very spacious with lots of outside decks/porches, up to date appliances in the kitchen etc.Good view, pleasant atmosphere, very clean, responsive mangement to any issues. The beach restauran had surprsingly good food for a casual restaurant and pretty good choices. The free breakfast was ok--not knock-your-socks-off, but perfectly fine. Fresh omelets The staff was extremely friendly everywhere. Restaurant service could have been a little quicker, but it is the Caribbean. Drink service on the beach was good. Lots of chairs on the beach. Pools never too crowded. BUT the beach does not have waves if you are looking for wave action and it is full of boats so the horizon is not open water. Concierge helps with activities--scuba, ATV, snorkeling, etc. Overall, very enjoyable vacation. Some snags and confusion in booking the excursions, but everything got worked out and done with a smile. Really, the very nicest people here, so even when a slight bump in the road, they work so hard to fix it, you don't mind at all.
This is a beautiful hotel located on a stunning beach. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Not much in the way of pools, if that is what you are looking for. The suite was beautiful and well-equipped. The Landings is close to Rodney Bay, so you do not have to drive too far for restaurants or shops. It was, however, a 2 hour ride from the airport! (The only negative side to the location). Do not bother renting a car,as you will not want to drive around this island.
This hotel is located on an enclosed bay, making it perfect for families with small children. There are almost no waves and the water is beautiful and clear. The hotel offers free kayaks and snorkel gear for those interested. We didn't bring many sand toys but the hotel loaned some to our 2 yr old at no charge. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the rooms great.
We needed one night at a hotel before heading home after three weeks on a sailboat. Booked the Landings because we were with another couple and we could share a two bedroom suite. Lovely place! Beautiful, roomy accommodations with full kitchen, washer/drier, and a hot tub on the large balcony. While we didn't experience it for long, I can imagine this place would be super for families or for couples traveling together. I want to add that we love the island of St Lucia; it's a gorgeous island with much to offer.
