Sandyport Beach Resort

Since most hotels were booked and they Hyatt where I was working was not officially opened I picked Sandyport for proximity to Baha Mar and availability. The restaurant does not open till 8:00 which is OK for vactioners, but does not work for business travelers. Don't expect a bellman or a luggage cart. Could be up to a city block walk to your room. The rooms are a little dated, OK if you want a Jacuzzi tub three feet from your bed.

Everything was great here it wasn't top of the line but everything was clean and nice. The only drawback at all was the amount of litter but that was all over the island. The people were amazing that couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Water beautiful and very easy to travel around without a car.

We spent the first part of vaction in Atlantis, and the last three days at Sandyport Beach Resort. If you are looking for a place close to Nassua and away from the noisey masses of people at Atlantis; this is the perfect spot. They have a chef who makes a homemade breakfast at the pool shack every morning from 8 till 10. There is a decent resturant onsite on the beach, and the number 10 buss will take you to Downtown Nassua for $1.25. Lady Sara, in charge of Hospitality and Customer Service, was extremely helpful with many suggestions of where to go and what to do. Overall we had a wonderful stay

We arrived late and were greeted by a front desk clerk, the lobby was dirty and in need or updating. After checking into our very small room that smelled of mildew and food, we heard a group outside arguing that continued for some 20 minutes getting ever louder and more extreme in language with passing time. I called the front desk and was told they were taking care of the situation. It was so violent I had my children who were very scared, sleep as far away from the door and windows as possible. We all slept the night restlessly and woke up tired and ready to check out as soon as possible. We stayed one night and that will be the last night. This place could be nice, if the management cared to invest in upgrading it... it's too bad!

Ants both inside and out. Place was nice but needs

The single room rate for one night was horrible, I could hear the male occupant in the next room who was so loud i could not sleep. fortunate for me I only stayed one night. next time aim in the bahamas it definitely west wind for the privacy and peace I so desired. The staff to include the security guard at the gate was awesome. Only good experience there.

The area is safe (no razor wire) which earns the property some stars. However, rooms are noisy and out of date, mattresses are hard, lobby and restaurants are close enough to walk but far enough to be annoying. Price per room is outrageous when compared to other properties of similar age. Restaurant's on the property have very pleasant staff but service is slow and food is poor.

I visit the Bahamas at least every other year, I have stayed at Sandyport Beach Resort Multiple times. I must say that my stay this past week was the best so far.

Overall, the hotel is decent and is situated in a cool mini-community. However there is one building of the hotel complex where the plumbing is bad and is where we were placed on the first night. After complaining to the front desk, we were able to move to a newer building in a studio room which made our experience 5x better. The only downside to the hotel is that it isn't located close to the main areas so you have to rely on the bus/taxi to get around.

I stayed in room 324...The room was nothing as advertised. It was half of a bedroom and half of a bathroom (very small) and no wireless Internet. The receptionist was great (always at work) and very pleasant.

Nice room.. Large .. Good location Close beach Good restaurant

Outside of the wifi issues, sandy port is awesome. Best value on cable beach, nassau

I loved the quietness. just that let alone was amazing. the place was great, my kids loved it and i wouldn't mind coming back.

Front Desk Reception was below standards. Returning guests and members were treated better. To be specific, I was not given a welcome package or information about the property. I found out about the orientation after I inquired. I was not invited to the continental breakfast and the shuttle bus to the grocery store found out about that on day 4 of my 4 day stay. The porters were excellent. The property is great! Very quite and location is convenient. Customer Service training would make this property rate EXCELLENT

Great location convent to everything we needed. Room a little small

Located across from Cable Beach which is nice, but you have to take a taxi or drive to get anywhere. A couple of decent restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi is in the lobby but not in the room.

Staff was great and quick to respond to my needs. The grounds are well kept and the room was spacious and clean. Location is ok, near everything. beach is fine. I would stay there again

Although somewhat far from downtown it's a nice and affordable place to stay. And also safe. Would stay there again.

i checked out the first day and rented another hotel. i travel for business, i paid for internet that did not work so i was not able to work while at this hotel...the room connected to 2 other rooms and the noise and feel was like i was living with 2 other families i would like to be credited for one night.
