Can’t say enough things about this place. Absolutely Superb service/super friendly, amazing resort with a short beach but water is phenomenally clean and in a perfect location to walk everywhere, if you choose too! Do not think twice about booking a vacation at the grand cayman Marriott, it was worth every penny. Being a Marriott timeshare owner on a different island, which I “thought” was the best, this resort has honestly put all other locations in the Caribbean to shame. Can’t wait to return here, and trust me, you will too! Love love love!

We got there waiting 8 months for the beach and when we got there the first 3-4 days no beach. It was treacherous going down the side stairs to walk to the public beach. Finally they got some I mean the put the lounge in the water and as people walked by they banged into the chairs. Then we tried the pool which was ice I mean ice cold. Then on check out they hit me with a resort fee which when I booked it I was promised that the fee I paid ordbitz was complete less food and transportation. The Marriott cut that 60.00 per night in 1/2 for the 3 rooms we had. I’m expecting Orbitz will refund me the balance otherwise I will be making a campaign across the country with 1000’s of friends never I mean never book with you again. In my entire life of going on vacation was I ever hit with a resort fee. Yes I know it said you may depending on your booking. I was promised this would not happen to me. My other solution is going to have my credit dispute the charges as I have pictures of the beach and other then the Marriott 7 mile beach was gorgeous. I should have followed my gut and booked privately at the Westin or the Ritz. Both the beach and the pool were amazing. I had to sneak in to the pools less towels not nice and had to lay on the sand couldn’t use beach chairs. If I knew those charges were coming the Westin would have been the same price for a higher upscale resort and a minimum up charge for the Ritz. I’m hoping you will fix this and I will change my attitude and my mission

The beach was basically non existant and not enough places to lounge die to the beach being almost washed up

Great location. Busy place and noisy at times. But we love the food at the Anchor & Den and close proximity to places we enjoy visiting. Right now there are renovations going on and the sandy beach is gone due to storms.

The staff was absolutely fabulous! The room was great and so were the restaurants. The pool is situated right over the ocean— and was beautiful— everything was great!

the property is very clean and beautiful, it is right on the beach which is nice but not enough lounge chair on the sand for visitors to use.

Excellent food excellent service excellent looking hotel feels like you are in paradise. Highly recommend

Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. (Especially Vishnu). The pool and beach area was small and crowded. Westin has a much better pool and beach area.

When we first arrived we had requested two deluxe rooms near each other and were disappointed that one room was on the first floor and the second was at the opposite end on the fourth floor. One room had two double beds and the other was a deluxe room with a king sized bed. The following two days at the pool/beach towels were not available. I told the cabana people they should be checking on people's room number. I am happy to say that on the third day this was rectified. I also heard from the management and they graciously took off my resort fees of $50 per day for each room. I felt this was very nice of them to reimburse us for the problems we incurred. I must say the staff at the Grand Cayman Marriot Beach Resort are very friendly at the front end desk, restaurants, and pool service. This is our third time staying here. We have also stayed at Comfort Suites which is right next door but preferred the Marriot. It is in walking distance to Camana Bay, a great place to shop and dine. Our favorite restaurant there is Mizo. You can also walk along the beach for another fine place to eat lunch or dinner at Royal Palms. For an inexpensive breakfast you can go to Cimono or Coconut Joes. By the way the best coconut shrimp I have ever had has been at Coconut Joes. Another excellent place for dinner is Peppers. On this trip we also did a few excursions The Botanical Garden, San Pedro Palace, The turtle farm, and everyone must do swimming with the stingrays and a bit of snorkeling.

Allwyn at the Veranda is the only highlight from our trip. We clarified we had to book two rooms a month in advance and they needed to join because we had three kids. When we got there they did not have those room available and separated our family. There is practically no beach and the staff kept walking by us to serve other people. There is also no swimming after 10 and the kids club has very little for the younger ones. I will never go back to Marriott again. If we decided to go back we will stay at the Westin.

Not enough Beach property. The staff absolutely awesome !

The service was excellent. Niki, Arjay and Neil were particularly amazing. These are just a few that I could remember but again the service was excellent. It rained, they had umbrellas for us. If we had an issue, they made it right. I have few criticisms. First, the beach is tiny. It only bothered me because I like sun and then some shade. This is not possible on this beach. However considering their limited resource, they do an excellent job managing it and making sure everyone is accommodated. There are certain times/places this hotel is loud. You may or may not hear roosters or the elevator if your room is close to it. The lobby, which looks nice and inviting/modern but the sound just travels. They had a nice event on Friday night but it was so loud I couldn't even attend or for that matter look to see what was going on. However this brings me to my next point. The spa. Excellent service, but when you pay SO much money for services to relax and can hear screaming children and clanging glasses from the lobby I would say don't spend your $. This is the only spa I have been to where the lovely music is loud (significantly louder than any other spa) because it is being used to try to drown out the noise of the lobby.

It is close to excellent snorkling and restaurants. Nice facilities.
