Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. (Especially Vishnu). The pool and beach area was small and crowded. Westin has a much better pool and beach area.

When we first arrived we had requested two deluxe rooms near each other and were disappointed that one room was on the first floor and the second was at the opposite end on the fourth floor. One room had two double beds and the other was a deluxe room with a king sized bed. The following two days at the pool/beach towels were not available. I told the cabana people they should be checking on people's room number. I am happy to say that on the third day this was rectified. I also heard from the management and they graciously took off my resort fees of $50 per day for each room. I felt this was very nice of them to reimburse us for the problems we incurred. I must say the staff at the Grand Cayman Marriot Beach Resort are very friendly at the front end desk, restaurants, and pool service. This is our third time staying here. We have also stayed at Comfort Suites which is right next door but preferred the Marriot. It is in walking distance to Camana Bay, a great place to shop and dine. Our favorite restaurant there is Mizo. You can also walk along the beach for another fine place to eat lunch or dinner at Royal Palms. For an inexpensive breakfast you can go to Cimono or Coconut Joes. By the way the best coconut shrimp I have ever had has been at Coconut Joes. Another excellent place for dinner is Peppers. On this trip we also did a few excursions The Botanical Garden, San Pedro Palace, The turtle farm, and everyone must do swimming with the stingrays and a bit of snorkeling.

Allwyn at the Veranda is the only highlight from our trip. We clarified we had to book two rooms a month in advance and they needed to join because we had three kids. When we got there they did not have those room available and separated our family. There is practically no beach and the staff kept walking by us to serve other people. There is also no swimming after 10 and the kids club has very little for the younger ones. I will never go back to Marriott again. If we decided to go back we will stay at the Westin.

Not enough Beach property. The staff absolutely awesome !

The service was excellent. Niki, Arjay and Neil were particularly amazing. These are just a few that I could remember but again the service was excellent. It rained, they had umbrellas for us. If we had an issue, they made it right. I have few criticisms. First, the beach is tiny. It only bothered me because I like sun and then some shade. This is not possible on this beach. However considering their limited resource, they do an excellent job managing it and making sure everyone is accommodated. There are certain times/places this hotel is loud. You may or may not hear roosters or the elevator if your room is close to it. The lobby, which looks nice and inviting/modern but the sound just travels. They had a nice event on Friday night but it was so loud I couldn't even attend or for that matter look to see what was going on. However this brings me to my next point. The spa. Excellent service, but when you pay SO much money for services to relax and can hear screaming children and clanging glasses from the lobby I would say don't spend your $. This is the only spa I have been to where the lovely music is loud (significantly louder than any other spa) because it is being used to try to drown out the noise of the lobby.

It is close to excellent snorkling and restaurants. Nice facilities.

Everything the hotel did was great. The only downside was the small beach.

Even though Check in was 4:00pm other Hotel Guests were checking in and getting their room. Even though I am a Marriott Rewards member I thought it had something to do with my reservation being done through a third party vendor(Orbitz). I had to prove I reserved a room with a Courtyard View. I won't make that mistake again.

Loved everything about our stay. Would stay again. Highly recommend. Beautifully decorated. Great amnenities. Extremely family friendly. Convenient location. Food/ juice bar was surprisingly delicious. Lastly couldn’t ask for a better beach. Top 3 beaches that we have visited in Carribean. We literally swam with fishes everyday. Already miss Grand Caymans!

Really nice hotel and amazingly close to the beach. Great service and delicious food. Different theme nights and food love it!!!

Crowded bEach and pool room service forgot half our order. Floor not vacuumed properly. Metal particles found on carpet. Food not very tasty and was grossly overpriced. This was the third and final time we will book this hotel. Receptionist,Samantha, very nice and helpful.
