Rooms are too cramped and hotel ambience isn't good

It did not smell too much and was somewhat clean. There were weird stains on bathroom floor and no refrigerator. There was free parking and the wharf area was walkable (1mile). The beds were pretty awesome as they felt like memory foam. The place definitely needs to be updated. The heater worked.

The property is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Be sure to request a room that doesn't face Lombard street. It is quite noisy.

We had a nice bedroom in the front of the building with a balcony where we could see the Golden Gate Bridge. We were able to walk to many areas.

This property is close to a lot of things and its pretty clean.

Great location and room is clean. Lucky to have a quiet room on the back .

If you're looking for a cheaper location to stay near the waterfront and Ghirardelli square, this is a great option. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. It's within walking distance of many great places of interest and near public transportation, too. We stayed on the second floor and could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our balcony!

I walked in to a used sanitary pad in a otherwise brand new garbage bag. I was completely shocked to find this. There were ants in the window sill. The front desk was cordial at best but when I called to report lost items they were useless and rude and were about to hang up on me. Completely unprofessional and not helpful in the least.

This is a basic budget hotel. However, that being said, the rooms were surprisingly clean, the beds were memory foam, and quite comfortable. Pillows were fabulous, maybe the first hotel in a long while I actually slept well in :-) You can hear your neighbours, but they were quieter than many lower cost hotels. This hotel has no other amenities, no pool, no sauna or hot tub, no exercise room. But look on the bright side, you will get lots of exercise going up and down the stairs! Hotel is in an absolutely perfect location, about 15 minutes walking to the small craft harbor, and 20 - 30 minutes walking to Fishermens wharf. Free parking for one car per room while staying there is a nice perk. Internet was OK, with reasonable signal levels, but wasn't particularly speedy. Unfortunately, the elevator was not operational while we were there, so we had to drag everything up and down multiple flights of stairs to our room. For some reason you can't access the stairway up to your room from the lower parking garage directly, you have to walk around the outside of the hotel, walk into the upper garage, and then you can use your access key to get into the stairway there. I found it rather odd to be locked out of the stairway, from the parking facility in the same hotel! That all being said, this hotel is a do-over for us, we definitely plan to visit again.

First of allThere is no elevator they have ants inside the room on the bed everywhere ,on the table .coffee machine is really dirty inside and staff don’t care

The hotel is conveniently located. The room was clean. I’d stay at this hotel again.

It was a breezy check in, clean rooms, and excellent price!

great hotel in prime location and great staff especially Vanessa

great location with free parking. Had a nice view of golden gate bridge from our room balcony as well

Fantastic location in SF, only about a 10-15 min walk from all the attractions on the water, as well as easily accessible because it's on Lombard street. The room was simple, but clean, and the bed was a super comfortable memory foam/tempurpedic style bed. The free indoor parking was a big plus because you can pay $50/day at many other hotels.

We stayed here as it was located near the Fisherman's Wharf area which was nice to be able to walk down and around. In addition, we loved the free parking. It was easy to get in and out of and we never had any issues getting a parking space. There seemed to always be a couple open spaces, no matter what time of day it was. We also bought tickets to the Double Decker hop-on-hop-off bus tour, and there was a stop about 2 blocks away from our hotel. We got a room that had a small balcony with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. The traffic along Lombard Street was very consistent, but we didn't have any issues with too much noise during the night. Our first day here was great, but on our second day, there was no hot water from about 1:00 pm Monday until we checked out Tuesday morning around 9 am. We called the front desk and they assured us it would be resolved quickly, but we waited 20 hours and never had hot water. When we checked out, the front desk employee told us the water had just been fixed and we could now use hot water (convenient). They claimed it was due to overuse by other hotel guests, but if that's the case, they need to plan for higher volumes to avoid this issue. Or just own up to the problem instead of making excuses.
